Way to go!! I knew you could do it if you went to the dz, I'm also glad you found an instructor who could/would take the time to sit and talk with you. I found one like that as well, I still had to redo some jumps but I felt completely comfortable and now look forward to each jump.... The only naturals in this sport shit thru feathers...

I don't know if this particular plane was actually used there for training purposes or not, the pilot flew in to drop off his emergency rigs for repacking while on his way to the air show in Punta Gorda, Fl next weekend. I didn't catch the passenger/co-pilot's name but he did mention flying a Pitts at the WFFC the past several years. They'll be back Wednesday to pick them up in a Hawker Sea Fury, too bad I won't be there to get photos of that one... The only naturals in this sport shit thru feathers...

The things you see when you least expect them... Took the day off work today and went out to the dz so I could learn how to pack and was amazed to see this setting outside the hangar. Airglades Airport (Clewiston, Fl) was used during WWII to train British pilots using aircraft just like this. The only naturals in this sport shit thru feathers...

I still haven't heard of this, has any bloke had his nads squashed I haven't heard of it either... but I'm glad I did a 'ball check' before my last jump because the opening was definitely a bit 'brisk' and I can see where they could have been somewhat mashed if I hadn't adjusted.... #1 don't jump blind, its illegal, while you may not care about it (both from the point of the pilot maybe losing his ticket and the saftey aspect of it) That shows you don't know how to spot. Nope, but you DO need to clear your airspace and not be a green light lemming. I'm done here. Its clear you think you are right no matter how many people disagree with you...even if those people have thousands more jumps than you. When it comes to experience I don't know shit when compared to everyone else here and I'll be the first to admit it. Thanks Ron for saying what's been going thru my mind as I've read these posts.... All I can say is thank God I selected a dz that is very saftey conscious to do my AFF. When I was in the door with my instructors they always made sure I LOOKED before I jumped and if I couldn't see the ground it was always a no-go... I hear ya! The Spring Break crowd is down here and I'm staying away from the beach as well. We get some of the Spring Break crowd, mostly it's alot of blue-hairs and euro tourists.. doesn't help that on the island pedestrians have the right of way and will cross whenever and where-ever they like... I'll wait till after Easter to go to the beach... The only naturals in this sport shit thru feathers...

I'm in Fort Myers... I tend to stay away from the beach this time of year... takes 1 1/2 hours to drive the 7 miles of Estero Island (dam'n tourists)... Was a beautiful day here as well... The only naturals in this sport shit thru feathers...

With a diet of cookies, hot chocolate, potato chips and ice cream??? If I even think about a Girl Scout Cookie, I'll gain a pound. Oh oh, now I've done it...
