Replace it now... as others have pointed out if you wait for a hurricane you could have more water damage inside the house. Plus if you do it now instead of waiting for a hurricane there won't be a wait for a roofer or for shingles. Definitely go for the 30 year shingles, at least that way you may not have to replace them again (as long as you sell in the next 18 years or so). I know where I'll be too... and hoping we'll be up doing a 4 stack while the shuttle launches... if it launches that is.... That would be TOO AWESOME!...especially if we can get video as well As far as the video goes... I thought they were going to video the jumps as well as take stills... who knows, perhaps even get some good stills of the stack with the shuttle?
