I first saw a pic of the pelt head thing in the 'pre boarding pics' thread and I thought it look like fun and I had to think about how my hairy helmet would be. Now this: ....NOW Im convinced I would like to join! I cant make it to this boogie. But if any of you are going to CouchFreaks or the Puerto Rico boogie in February we could do a jump. Yes? Attempted exit of aircraft with seatbelt still attached
yeyo replied to peek's topic in Safety and Training
So whats the use of wearing a seatbelt if you are not wearing it correctly??? Isnt it supposed to be tight? If its loose and something happens, you are gona bounce all over inside the plane. If you wear it correctly, it wont let you get off the seat/floor. If u can reach the door and get off the plane with the seatbelt on, why bother wearing it? HISPA #93 DS #419.5 -

Condolence thread for Danny Page and Bob Holler
yeyo replied to PhreeZone's topic in Blue Skies - In Memory Of
I never met Danny personally. Someone called our DZ that day and said there was a double fatality and Danny Page was one of them. I asked who he was and a friend told me "he was at our boogie, white jumpsuit, big smile". I immediately knew who he was. RIP sir. HISPA #93 DS #419.5 -

i dont have many jumps, but almost half of them are tracking jumps. from solo tracking to 12 ways... i loooove tracking one thing ive found is that its easier to roll the shoulders with the palms of the hands facing up, and i can feel the difference in fwd speed. HISPA #93 DS #419.5

Have you ever forgot your goggles?
yeyo replied to PilotLevi's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I jumped once w/o goggles, but I didnt forget them on the ground. I put on my helmet and stepped outside on the camera step. Thats when I realized I had the goggles on my neck. Too late to fix it. It was a tracking jump from full altitude and it was not a real problem, I could see relatively fine. Eyes where red and crying when I landed, but no big deal. HISPA #93 DS #419.5 -
yeah...i think i got it thanks HISPA #93 DS #419.5

...if english was my native language maybe someone would understand my view ill try again... the way i see it, what loads the canopy consist of whats hanging from it (canopy). i mean from the lines to your feet and whatever you are towing (flags or something). so the weight of the canopy is not hanging from the canopy doesnt matter, im probably wrong but thats what my weird logic told me HISPA #93 DS #419.5

I saw that thread and it worried me too.... But disconnecting a toggle? c'mon! regardless of 0 jumps or 10000 You just have to look at it 3 seconds and figure it out. HISPA #93 DS #419.5

I call..... edit to upload 2nd pic, looks less bad after 2 seconds HISPA #93 DS #419.5

...suspended in the air, but not suspending from the canopy. The weight of the canopy doesnt load the canopy, i think maybe im just looking at it wrong whatever, it really doesnt matter HISPA #93 DS #419.5

So, they say we have to consider all the gear when calculating our wingload. Shoes, altimeter, googles, underwear etc etc.... And some people are super anal about it, no one wants to talk about aproximate wingload. They say "bah, mine is 1.35679" If it has to be soooo specific and we have to consider everything, then why we have to add the weight of the canopy? The canopy is not hanging from the canopy. What Im missing? HISPA #93 DS #419.5
