  1. Unfortunately I am going to steal that line from you, because it is hilarious. My biggest handicap is that sometimes the hole in the front of my head operates a tad bit faster than the grey matter contained within.
  2. I suppose a theif does not have to be in the community to steal and resell gear but i amagine he would have to sound like he knew something about the sport otherwise he would sound fishy when describing the gear to a potential buyer. My guess is that the people who do this are members of the community I agree I guess that it is nice and all to have a stolen gear database on this website but unless there is a universal stolen gear registry that all dropones check against then this will continue. It might be quite simple. Whenever johnny butplug buys used gear then the dropzone owner has to immediately check it against a database. If Johnny goes to a new dropzone then the first thing they do is check his gear against the registry. Not perfect but it will make things somewhat more difficult for lowlife theives My biggest handicap is that sometimes the hole in the front of my head operates a tad bit faster than the grey matter contained within.
  3. This issue seems to keep popping up. Is there any sort of large scale effort being made to make the resale of stolen gear more difficult. Is there some sort of database where people can do a check on gear that they are thinking of purchasing? If dropzones would support this by having all new (used) gear on the DZ checked against a database it would make the business of steal and resell more difficult. 4. It seemed that a few years back Iran seemed to be making progressive steps and then all of a sudden they took a large step bacwards. Inspiring to see that students there have the confidence to protest thier president. 5. You are not supposed to do that. I'm usually able to act like a grown man when an injury happens but I am the biggest pussy in the world when it comes time to let the doctor at the emergency room fix it My biggest handicap is that sometimes the hole in the front of my head operates a tad bit faster than the grey matter contained within.
  6. Not that I know of . . . When I am in front of St. Peter do I get representation by some legal aid guy or can I request Johnny Cochrane? My biggest handicap is that sometimes the hole in the front of my head operates a tad bit faster than the grey matter contained within.
  7. Prefer not to. Do I have any say in the matter? My biggest handicap is that sometimes the hole in the front of my head operates a tad bit faster than the grey matter contained within.
  8. He should be happy then. Plenty of sodomy where he is going to spend the next 90 years. My biggest handicap is that sometimes the hole in the front of my head operates a tad bit faster than the grey matter contained within.
  9. Regrettably too many people have difficulty grasping that little fact. My biggest handicap is that sometimes the hole in the front of my head operates a tad bit faster than the grey matter contained within.
  10. 15 Commandments? Aw dang! Why didn't someone tell me about this! All this time I though I was only breaking ten rules...15? My afterlife is sooooo going to suck. I should sue moses! Well Duh!! TV never lies. My biggest handicap is that sometimes the hole in the front of my head operates a tad bit faster than the grey matter contained within.
  11. The entire way they handled the standoff does not speak well of them. I don't want to sound like I think it is OK to stand there and let a man bleed to death, because I don't. I merely wanted to put the reaction of the dog handler in perspective. If the claim that they dragged the guy along the ground and then left him to bleed to death turn out to be true then obviously they were in the wrong. I just felt that we should factor in that it was a moment of stress, and odds are they were not thinking straight My biggest handicap is that sometimes the hole in the front of my head operates a tad bit faster than the grey matter contained within.

  13. Rationaly what you say makes sense but in the heat of the moment a person might react to save his dog over the other guy who was brandishing a gun at him. Particularly if he feels guilty that his own fuckup is what got mans best freind shot. I am not sure if you have ever had a dog but if you have then you realise the attachment that a person can have to a dog. Obviously it would be a deplorable decision for a Doctor to make in the clinical environment of an emergency room, but for the cop on the scene he just reacted with emotion. He is only human. 14. No. They could simply break thier vows with a consenting adult if that was the case. Having too much power and influence with little oversite while in a position of authority over young people while the church opted to turn a blind eye to avoid embarrasment caused it. 15. So basically God sent Jesus to give humanity a message about 2000 years ago and he somehow delivered the wrong message? What was the problem? Did God stutter when he passsed the message on to him or did he simply change his mind after the fact? How can Jesus get Gods message all wrong. Furthermore if he screwed up telling us about christianity how do we know he is not making the same mistake this time? Do we get some kind of guarantee? 16. I agree. In a situation like that you have to take some responsibility for your own well being. You need to realise that the officers pointing guns at you are scared and want to go home alive. You need to think about how your every act will be interpreted before you carry it out. They cannot possibly know your intentions. Still feel terrible for the dog though. 17. I don't see it that way. If someone were to wish me a happy Hanakah, or happy rammadan, I would appreciate that they were willing to extend a statement of good wishes in the spirit of thier faith to me even though I am not a member of thier religion. I would take it as a gesture of good faith, rather than feeling forcefed. Why during my religions holiday can I not have the same freedom to extend my well wishes without being accused of violating some PC code. 20. (as said by TONTO) And that comment, quite the ballsy statement from someone sitting behind a computer, would you still have the guts to say that standing toe to toe with an American soldier, or any American for that matter. I highly doubt it, if you wouldn't say it to a persons face why on here, it's an act of cowardice if you ask me, and I think i've made it clear in these forums before where cowards stand in my book. Take it from someone who has been there twice and is packing my bags at the moment to spend the next 9 months over there, it has nothing to do with how the soldiers are fighting, there's been a lot of leadership issues at the highest levels, not to mention the media making everything into a huge issue forcing more and more restrictions on the way we fight. Because of people bitchin about us doing our job we now might as well sit down with the people shooting at us and have a heart to heart with them before engaging them. Seems that most of the people out there would rather see us die than kill a fucking terrorist. It was a bit of a cheap shot. 21. No hypocracy in animals. If you have a dog it truly is your best freind. My biggest handicap is that sometimes the hole in the front of my head operates a tad bit faster than the grey matter contained within.
  22. Watch the video again. You see the gun fly from his hand as they start shooting him. Definitely the pooch. My biggest handicap is that sometimes the hole in the front of my head operates a tad bit faster than the grey matter contained within.
  23. Probably. I thought it was sad. Sorry but I felt that people who were dog lovers might be upset by it. PA? He beat his pregnant wife, and brandished a gun towards the officers. He was aware of the consequences of his actions. When a man is holding a gun and surrounded by cops with guns pointed at him yelling "drop the gun" ...well if he cannot figure out the implied "or else" then I am not going to bleed my heart out for this particular Darwin nominee. As always I feel sympathy for his mother, but with respect to his girlfriend they probably did her (and the unborn child) a favour. The dog was an innocent. He did nothing wrong but spend his whole life in the service of people, and was gunned down doing it. My biggest handicap is that sometimes the hole in the front of my head operates a tad bit faster than the grey matter contained within.
  24. I quote "he instructed other officers "Don't let this man move. He's trying to bleed out on us. He's trying to kill himself."" What I meant was I suspect that there was some hyperbole in the statement that he was left out overnight to bleed to death. It can happen, but leaving a living breathing man out all night until dawn to die would be career suicide. THe statement must have been exagerated. My biggest handicap is that sometimes the hole in the front of my head operates a tad bit faster than the grey matter contained within.
  25. From a sterilised after the fact perspective I suppose that would be the appropriate thing to do, but again this was a tense standoff. A dog can become as close to a person as a family member. For the dog handler, he must have seemed like a real partner. Imagine you train with a dog every day, work with him for years, drive around every day with him as your sole companion in your vehicle, and even make one way small talk with him. You know he is feircely loyal to the point where he would put his own life in peril to protect yours, and he may have already saved your life at one point. Then one night due to a crazy dirtbag with a gun, some hyped up cops, and perhaps a handling error on your part he gets shot up doing his duty. In that situation I might be overwhelmed with concern for the dog. Not correct procedure perhaps but the cops are only human. I can see what you are saying but I do sympathise with the cop on this one.
