I performed in my first Hafla last night, and we all had a fantastic time! I danced to a drum solo named Careyoka in Cairo, and the audience clapped and zagarheeted. Right before I stepped out into the audience, I had the butteflies in the stomach. I sat there with Roccio worrying about our costumes, dance, audience, etc. The second I stepped out, my nerves went away, and I just had a blast! Some people were really getting into it, so I fed off of that energy. It's funny, though....some of the most simple and easy moves got the crowd's energy up! The other dancers were incredible, and it was so nice to finally see them perform! Sonya did an incredible job as always. I attached some pics so you can feel like you were there! Hmmm.... Not everyone who works in health insurance would be out of a job. I'm not really sure what that % would be, though. Interesting point. Anyways, I hate how much of a pain in the bum my health insurance is. Yes, I'm covered well; however, the whole HMO thing with limited hospitals in my area meant that I've had to wait a month on numerous occassions for care that was "urgent." I can't go to a doctor outside of my plan because then it's just much too expensive. Also, the clinic that was in my plan (the only one that was reasonably close at the time) was a mess. They lost my file. They forgot to send me my results when a test came back with problems on it. Luckily, they finally got a new network on my plan, but before that, I had about a year of hassles. My personaly experience hasn't show that our system of healthcare isn't all that fantastic. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

How so? Are there people saying that women should make more for the same amount of work? Are there people that say that women should get the upper management positions in corporations? I have not met anyone like that. But, in what ways does she think that others want women superior to men? There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

I wonder how many results would pop up if I searched for that!!!! And, Amanduh...COOL! Let me know when you come to Chicago. I would love to meet you! I heard things about that Iwan guy, though. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

That's weird. I'm pretty sure my mom is something positive. I never heard about it before (and she told me all about her pregnancies...I think to scare me from getting pregnant.) I'll have to ask her about it. Errr....(lack of sleep), does it only apply to negative moms with positive children? (I just skimmed the link.) I was just stating the obvious!!! Leaving your area to go to Ohio is slightly insane!

Wait...you live in CA, and you're going to Ohio by choice? I don't think he's a slut. I think he's mentally disturbed. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

why do skydivers like to have sex in the aircraft they jump out of
Vallerina replied to josheezammit's topic in The Bonfire
That's odd. I've only been on three or four planes with straddle benches, but none of them hurt. I always thought they were more comfortable than anything else. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning -

Do you judge people based on their financial background?
Vallerina replied to Muenkel's topic in The Bonfire
I went to school with many many many wealthy brats who parents bought them Porsches/other fancy cars for the 16th birthdays. I knew many many many wealthy brats who got out of being arrested for DUIs/pot because of their parents buying them out of trouble. These kids tended to have many more "friends" than anyone else. One girl....her father is a politician. I knew her from dance class for years. One day, her family moved, and she came to my high school. I was friends with her throughout, but the change from when people didn't know who her father was to when they figured it out was phenomenal. Lots of money can buy you lots of friends. It is! Let's all hold hands, sing songs, and play with puppies that are running through fields. I've accepted the fact that many people are superficial and shallow long ago. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning -

Of course it matters on a dz! People often complain about "yuppie skydivers." Money does matter to many people...just like looks and other silly things like that do as well. Paris Hilton doesn't have a ton of people following her around for her mind, after all... There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
