You guys are too nice! Yesterday kinda sucked, but today is much better. I have my car again, my brother isn't mad at me, and I even had enough money left over after the whole fiasco to make a jump today! No, I wasn't being serious with my "Indiana rocks" comment (that's why I'm getting outta here and heading to AZ!!!!) But, we've still got a couple of cool things to offer (including the crazies that you don't like, Dominatrix Dave!) "Experience is the name every one gives to their mistakes." Oscar Wilde

Awww...thanks guys! I will be in Eloy two weeks from today! Then, I'll probably hit Coolidge that Sat. and Sun, and then I'll jump at Eloy the following Friday. So, if anyone's out there then, make sure to say "hello" to me! New Orleans....bars as far as the eye can see! You are spoiled! Nice weather, kick ass city, awesome dz. That's it! I'm moving! My last pet peeve (which I'm reminded of as I get ready to go out for the night): really really bad pick up lines. Come on now. How can guys use lines like "Wanna give Mr. Thumper a kiss" and think they'll actually work? "Experience is the name every one gives to their mistakes." Oscar Wilde

He he! I've got 4-day weekends every week this semster, so I'll probably travel somewhere south again before it's over! But Indiana's where it's at, baby!!!!! My day has gotten a little better-I received a $44 check and my friend will come pick me up at 3:30. No drinking tonight for me! "Experience is the name every one gives to their mistakes." Yes, I think that's the most annoying of all! "Experience is the name every one gives to their mistakes." Oscar Wilde

My apology to anyone that I offend, but my pet peeve is snoring. I'm not talking about the light snoring either. My one friend is so bad, that I'll be in my room with the fan on high, and I can still clearly hear him. "Experience is the name every one gives to their mistakes." Oscar Wilde

It's more like the sweet sweet Bud Light I'll have to sacrifice for the next few. That, and all the food I can't afford now, I'll lose tons of weight (which is great, since I heard that Coolidge has a hot tub!!!) You guys are right, though. It could be worse, so I don't have much room for complaining (but, I guess since I'm stuck without a car, I don't have much else to do.) "Experience is the name every one gives to their mistakes." Against my better judgement, I decided to have a few drinks last night (I'm trying to quit for a couple of weeks so that I can look good in a bathing suit when I go to AZ.) It was a special occassion, though: my brother, who I rarely drink with, was in town and ready to hit the bars. I drove to the bars, and for some reason, parked in their parking lot instead of my usual spot. I had a few too many to drive home, so I crashed at his friends' hotel room. I went to fetch my car this morning, and it's not there!!!! They had towed just about every car out of the lot, including mine! Now, I have no car, no way of getting to it, and I barely have the $100 to get my car back. Alcohol is pure evil. "Experience is the name every one gives to their mistakes." Oscar Wilde

Woo hoo! I couldn't have picked a better location for my own personal convenience! It's only 2 hrs away from Purdue and less than 2 hrs away from my home by Chicago. Hopefully, their local board members stay as excited as they seem in the article to have the convention. It seems like a great location, but nothing's perfect. I can't wait to find out, though! I'm going to sleep with 10 men, 2 of which I'll love. I also have an 81% chance of dying during sex!!! I know I'm out of shape and all, but jeez.... That was fun, though. It reminded me of those purity tests we used to do in high school. Drink 'Em Cute

I like using COD's. If it's not what I ordered or if it does not live up to what the seller had said about it, I just don't pay for it. Drink 'Em Cute

Yeah, that's why I said I was more dangerous to be driving than the average person is to be skydiving. I'm still in the higher risk category for skydiving (I can't really determine what my risk of fatality is there since I don't have enough info.) I've also been in a couple of accidents and numerous close calls, so i figured they compared to my reserve ride. I just don't think anyone can really compare the two, especially since driving is a necessary evil and skydiving is a sport. I tried comparing skydiving to other sports (waterskiing) to show my dad that it's not that bad. (hence, water skiing has more deaths a year, and i had an even closer call while skiing-a speed boat zoomed on past me and missed me by about 10 ft.) Okay, I'm just a dangerous person all around, and everyone should look out when I'm around! Drink 'Em Cute

The only problem with those stats is that it's not much of a breakdown of gender, age, location, and all that stuff. My own personal evaluation that I did at work this summer (using Allstate's data, which I don't really have anymore since they don't like you taking their information from them!) was that since I was young, single and driving in downtown Chicago everyday, my chances of a fatality from driving are greater than the average person's chances from skydiving. But, I agree that everyone assuming that skydiving is safer is false (especially driving to the dz; most people don't have to drive through the middle of a city to get to their dz.) Although, I don't really think it's possible to compare them. If you ask my dad, however, he'd tell ya that nobody should be skydiving or driving downtown! No fun! Drink 'Em Cute

Lookin good, boys! Those are some groovy pictures, Kreg! Drink 'Em Cute

Well thank you! Yeah, we all had too many hurricanes (they're so good, but they sneak up on ya!) I can't wait to see everyone else's pics from the boogie and from tonight at New Orleans! DRINK 'EM CUTE

Oops, thought I could post two pictures on one post. Well, here's the other one! DRINK 'EM CUTE

Happy Mardi Gras! It's too depressing being back here at Purdue, bored and attempting to finish some weirdo statistics assignment that I don't understand. I want to be back at the boogie! Oh well, you guys on here will have to keep me informed of any other kick ass boogies that'll get me out of Purdue for a weekend. Anyways, I haven't gotten my pictures back yet (I probably will tomorrow after tonight's Mardi Gras party at my most favorite bar.) But, here's one of my roomie and me right before her tandem at the MG boogie (she loved it and wants to do it again once she gets the dough.) There's another of me (on the far left), two of my girlfriends and a lady with a huge hot dog in New Orleans last year for Mardi Gras with some beads (no flashing required to get them either!) The last one will hold me over till I get to see this years! DRINK 'EM CUTE

Damn....I think my magic wand must have been broken! Anyways, I didn't hear about the accident till I got home (I'm guessing it didn't happen while I was down there.) That really sucks, though. DRINK 'EM CUTE

Well, I hope you guys are having fun. It's very cold back here in Indiana, and I'm questioning why I left MS! Oh well, just a few more weeks till I'm at Skydive AZ.... And by the way, I'm still finding silly string! DRINK 'EM CUTE

Our club goes every year (actually, they went without me this past weekend.) I understand it doesn't compare with the Orlando one, but skills can still be improved in the Flyaway tunnel. They most likely won't crank the air up, and you only have a small area to play in, but you can still learn how to make tight turns, stay in one spot, adjust fall rate, etc. The guys that ran the tunnel did some pretty groovy freeflying after the wind tunnel closed, so I'm guessing it's possible, just not to first-timers there. He he! I had a great time at Mardi Gras! I didn't get to jump quite as much as I would've liked, but I did have opportunity to get in on a couple of 12-ways (which is now my biggest formation!) The dz had a great atmosphere; they were friendly enough so that even my roommate (who made her first tandem!!!) was talking to people left and right! You had to be careful about where you were landing, though (as my jumpsuit sits caked in mud.) I also loved seeing the ocean from the air (beats the corn-field views I'm used to!) And nothing beats having only 5 jumpers on a Super Otter! I ran into people from collegiates and Quincy that I wasn't expecting to see. That was actually one of my favorite parts! I didn't get to jump with one of the only Quincy Tent 4 organizers (Tom) while at the WFFC. I ended up making all of my jumps with him on Saturday! I also got to meet a few of the people who post here (I'll let them give you some of the party-stories, no need to incriminate myself!) We were able to head over to New Orleans Friday night (and I still think it's one of the coolest cities in the country!) and I met up with n2skdvn (good thing, otherwise i would've been so lost!) I had a blast at the party on Sat. night as well. Roger Nelson had bought something like 500 margaritas for everyone (but they were gone in about 20 mins!) Overall, the boogie exceeded my expectations. I got plenty of beads, drinks and a cool wooden spear thingy (which became "Princess" Valerie's magical wand!) I also had the opportunity to jump in bigger formations (well, they were bigger for me and my experience level at least.) I hope I have the opportunity to go again next year! But anyways, HAPPY MARDI GRAS! DRINK 'EM CUTE

I purchased my Bev suit off the rack, so I can't give my own opinion on customer service/custom orders (although she was great with other people I know), but for the 80 or so jumps I've used it on, I love it! It only needed 2 slight touch ups with a sewing machine (perhaps I'm anal), and it's held up throughout my landings, just-off-student-status skydivers taking death grips, and although it was already very tight, it held up during my added holiday weight. I have booties (which I also love) and I used the Shoe Goo that the Skydiving news magazine was talking about. Not that it applies to you (but it may to some other chica reading this), but Bev has this "Hot Bod" line which is geared towards women (that's actually what I have.) It's nice, since jumpsuits (from my experiences of trying many on) are made for men who don't have curves. Also, I chose an all-cotton jumpsuit, since I already fall not so slow. No need for a super-tight nylon one! DRINK 'EM CUTE

The ride should take about an hour and a half to two hours (or less, my mom just gave me her radar detector!) DRINK 'EM CUTE

I'm going to New Orleans Friday night (actually, we're leaving the dz around 2 pm so we can get to New Orleans in time for the festivities.) We'll be coming back to the dz sometime Fri. night. I can fit 2 or 3 more people in my car. I haven't heard anything about a bus, though.... DRINK 'EM CUTE

It looks like I'm spending my spring break in Phoenix this year! I'll probably head to Skydive AZ either Mar. 8-10 or 15-17. Woo hoo! I'm so excited! Anyone else gonna be out there? DRINK 'EM CUTE
