Me me me!!! It's only 1.5 hrs away from my house, so I even have a place to stay if it rains!!! I'll probably be going from start to end (hopefully I graduate and relatives give me lotsa jump money!) And if I graduate, I'm gonna try to do something spiffy for actually getting the hell outta Purdue (I'm trying to think of a way to jump with my graduation cap.) Well, as I had predicted to a few people, I knew I was going to get flamed for this. My intention for this post was just to let the people know that when calling Richmond, in addition to asking if they're open, ask if there is a pilot willing to fly. It's not just that someone said something bad about a dz, it's the fact that someone on staff had said something bad about a dz. (Unprofessional, but whatever.) Also, no, my home doesn't bad mouth other dz's. We understand how difficult it is to stay open, and applaud anyone who can master that task. I'm not sure what you mean by shitty, but where I'm from we celebrate cloudless days with light winds at 80 degrees. There were enough people for a 182 load, and that's all I needed. 0:2:0 I'm glad that the weather people were WAY off for Friday and Saturday! I got to make two very fun freefly jumps with Cajun on Saturday! Other weekend highlights: I got to ride in the BONUS lane Sunshine discovered and became addicted to the naked ladies game Wildblue has his cast off (but he still sucks at Euchre) I finally got to jump with Cajun (who may or may not have quit smoking) That's all I can remember! Sunshine and I have our tour schedule all set. (She has it right now, so you'll have to patient and wait for it to get posted.) Our fourth stop will be my home this weekend: Skydive Indiana! Despite the weather forcasters' predictions all week long (what do they know anyways?), today was mostly beautiful. Being so close to Richmond, I thought it was a perfect stop for my tour this summer. I don't like dz bashing, but today really upset me. With an unexpected awesome day like today (while I have a couple of bucks in the bank), I really just wanted to make a jump or two. I was told for over three hours that a pilot was on his way (even while I was leaving the dz!) Okay, not too big of a deal (stuff happens, right?) But, they also decided to bash a loved dz of mine to me. I'm just trying to find a new "home" this summer, and I've had many good vibes and much love from my homies. Maybe I caught the dz on a bad day (once again, stuff happens.) But, it kind of upset me, and I didn't find that "home" feeling I've been looking for. I'm Jon from Xenia. Please don't hate me.
