This is actually a tricky question... I guess I would have to say Quincy in '01 since that's where my love for the sport really grew. It was the first time for me jumping out of different aircraft, making more than 2 jumps in a weekend, improving my skills in a crazy way (thanks billvon!) The only things I've really wasted my money on in the sport are goggles (how do I go through them so quickly?) and food (I need to start taking my own sandwiches to the dz). The people that I know who were on the shot bled for awhile (11 weeks was the longest I've heard) after first getting it, but their periods completely stopped after getting the shot for a second or third time. I guess it's rather common. I have heard of people gaining much more weight on the shot than on any other type of birth control, but I haven't seen anyone gain more than 10 pounds within a year while on it. Oh yeah....it's just so tough being a female with guys hitting on you. Nasty guys that I'm not interested in hit on me regardless if I'm in a relationship or not. I deal with them all in the same fashion. For me, I get a power kick knowing that I don't need anyone to help me along. Having someone with me at a boogie scaring all the bad men away from me is definitely not empowering. If I were a wussy girl who needed someone to go to boogies with me, because I just couldn't handle all the men, then I would certainly agree. My guess is that since there's very few women in the sport, the female forum just gives an oppportunity to bond with other skychickies.
