  1. Yup. I've seen smaller dzs pass everybody because they didn't have enough instructors to be able to coach all of their recent AFF grads. I've seen other people play favorites during it. My old home dz really didn't like it because they were a small dz. They weren't around long enough for it to have much of an affect, though. However, it would've stunk for them because the only people that could jumpmaster SL students is now instructors. Considering many of the jumpmasters who were grandfathered into being instructors were Purdue students, they knew they'd lose that advantage quickly. I really wanted to become a jumpmaster to help my dz out since they helped me out so much. All I really needed was the BIC, but they didn't have one in time. Having a coach rating wouldn't have helped the dz out at all. By the time someone was done with SL, they almost had their A, and most didn't go all the way through SL anyways. They needed jumpmasters....not people to jump with students after they finished up their student progression. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  2. And it's also about 5 miles from my house! I will pass on flying it, however..... There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  3. I'm definitely a control freak. I think it runs in the family; I see my three year old nephew doing things that others just don't understand, but I get (like, he needs to have his trains arranged in just the right way. If you switch them up, oh...you better watch out! He gets pissed!!!) I was definitely more laid back when I was in college. I think it was the beer. Skydive Chicago

Repeating Lolie...what days will you be around Chicago? I don't think I can make it to SDC this weekend, but we always have fun dz.com gatherings at bars during the weekdays for out of towners! Right, Clay? There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  5. Really? I know people with zero RW skills that passed the jumps. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  6. Ha! Thanks! I just complained to wildblue about the IBIS toolbar that won't go away. I'll have to try that before studying (it's not that I procrastinate my studying....) There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  7. Hehehehe...I'll take the blame for that! This is proof that if you complain and whine enough, things really will go your way! It was 60 degrees when I left downtown, and it was nice, crisp and cool this morning! Ahh...time to do outdoorsy things...like...studying outside! 8. I don't like it because it prevented me from being a SL jumpmaster. Now, I'm not on a SL dz, so I have no desire to get a rating of any kind. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  9. No, thank you, Bo. I had a really good friend that died of a rare form of cancer. He was an incredible human being. His dream was to be a marine biologist. I was supposed to spend my spring break senior year of high school with him and other classmates down in the Florida Keys, but he passed away before then. Make-a-Wish tried to help him live his dream of seeing all the wonderful sea creatures in the Caribbean before he passed away. Unfortunately, his cancer spread too quickly. But, what they tried to do for him was amazing. He would've been somebody that would've changed the world, so I'm glad they tried to make his better. 10. Hey, Bo! That's very cool! I won't be able to make it to the boogie since I'll be on vacation, so thanks for posting the Paypal link!
  11. Oh my goodness!!!! This is freaky weird. Here I was, ready to start a "Michele rocks!" thread, but she already has one for today!!!! You beat me to it!!! I'm not joking either! I really was going to start a thread about how awesome Michele is! Knowing her is definitely one of the best things that has come from this site. 12. Whew! It's 55 degrees here today! I'll take the fog to be comfortable! It's supposed to warm up to 70, though Done It's not that I mind hot weather. For example, the Caribbean rocks. However, when you're on vacation, and you can jump into water at any time, hot weather isn't so bad. It's when you have to do things like...live in it...ick. And, it's not that 80+ degrees is bad. I could deal with it if that's the hottest it gets. However, when it's only May and it gets up to over 80 degrees, I cry thinking about how the rest of my summer is going to go. 13. Yay! Hehe...I can jump an Otter any time I want after work! I still love Otters. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

  15. Now come on Michael, do you really think the state of Colorado could handle both Val and I? Plus, Renee is thinking about a move too It just won't be safe. Mary, is this a subtle way of saying, "Don't give Val to us!!! You guys keep her!!!!"? I'm just here to make sure that the Midwest weather is always complained about! You call it whining. I call it "Getting the Midwest some need attention! We're lonely here!" There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  16. We like to bitch about anything! Actually, I don't bitch much in the cold weather....except for the jerks on the road that don't know how to drive in snow. Mmmm.....68 degrees..... There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  17. No! Then he'll never post again! Just lie and say someone with millions of dollars and good beer misses him on dz.com! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  18. Am I the only one that hates 80 degree weather? Did I sleep through spring? I don't think we got one this year. It's over 80 degrees and humid. Yuck. I forgot how much I hate it until it gets here! Am I insane for wishing for a nice 60 degree day? There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  19. I remember this one guy who didn't post much, but whenever he did, I tended to laugh my booty off. Since he hasn't posted in such a long time, my ass has gotten bigger, and I want to laugh it off again. I always notice when the funny people stop posting! 21. Once again, you don't know the whole story. No, I am not comfortable with sharing it online. My guess is that many people put in my position would've done the same thing. Actually, at first I thought what I saw may have been Spam. I got a look at the sender and everything, and I just kinda remembered it. Pretty much, I saw something that gave me suspicion months ago. I didn't actively seek it out, but I was "watching." I don't think that's odd. If it would've been Spam, or if it was harmless like you had mentioned it could be, then when I glanced at the screen while he was iming, I'm sure nothing bad would've been there. However, that's not what happened. I glanced at the screen, and there was plenty "wrong" to read in just that one second. Once again, if it's bad of me to not let it go when someone is hurting someone I love, then I'll gladly be a jerk for it. When something causes suspicion, I will watch out for those that I care about. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  22. That's why I might end up saying something. Thanks! I really just don't know of many people where if they read something like that happening to someone they love they could just say, "Oh well!" Reading the emails the first time was completely innocent on my part. The computer was handed over to me with it open. It's almost impossible not to read what's on a computer screen that you are using. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  23. No, I didn't. Seeing the subject lines on the emails (which I did innocently) is what gave me suspicion. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  24. A better question for you, Andrea. Let's say your daughter has a bf, and he has a laptop. He told you that you could use his laptop. You go to use it, and when you open it up, he left his email open, and you read, "(A name other than your daughters), you rock in bed!" Maybe I should've done nothing about it, but I can't let someone get away with hurting someone I love like that. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  25. If you accidentally come across information that someone you love is getting cheated on, could you really do nothing about it? Like I said, months ago he left the email open, and it's just about impossible to not read something on the screen when you want to actually use the computer. I had permission to use the computer.
