  1. It's not a vacation. It's a long weekend to go help a friend out in her time of need! There's a big difference! It's not my fault that there just happens to be cool people and a wind tunnel there! Oh! The Price is Right is there, too. Maybe I'll try to get on! If I actually tried to sell this stuff, I'd be broke! I'm no good at lying! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  2. And here I was thinking that the invite you sent me was personal! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  3. My best friend is taking Arabic courses at UCLA this summer, and I want to go visit her so that she's not really lonely there all by herself (really, this is a completely selfless thing I'm doing for her!) I want to hit the tunnel and see some of the cool people out that way. It looks like I'll come down either July 2 (I already get that Monday off) or July 9. Who's going to be around, and is there anything exciting going on? Which weekend should I pick?
  4. No no no! I was wearing your bikini with my bra on my head! It seemed to make sense at the time... I know! Next time I'll wait until I'm home where my pictures are secure to make fun of you! And I was all ready to post a picture of you and the pirate! Boo! If you battle the mosquitoes for me, you have yourself a deal! My bites are getting infected! One got so bad that now it looks like a huge bruise! I'm gross. Sigh....and, Remi, you won't get to see the sexy underwater pictures. One underwater camera was completely ruined, and the other one was partially ruined. I would like my luck to turn around now. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  5. Do I sense projection? Don't worry, Remi, I'll show you pics of him that I took with the underwater camera! My scatter-brainedness really is contagious! WB actually lost a wad of cash that he stored in a cigar container! I made fun of him because I hadn't lost anything yet at that point. I'm job searching right now! I want to go back, though, so I can see the British Virgin Islands, go on a midnight cruise to star gaze, and I want to scuba dive next time! 6. In this thread Sunshine gave me some wise words. It's as though she predicted some turmoil coming my way and tried to give me warning. I'm pretty sure she's psychic, because the second to last day of my vacation, I lost my camera. I lost my wonderful digital camera with all of my beautiful pictures. Yes, this was the same kind of camera that I lost almost 6 months ago at the Hinckley Chrimstas party! I think this camera fell out of my backpack since we were in a mad rush to get back to the crappy tour taxi. So, I have zero pictures to show anyone. However, I highly suggest to all to make it to the Virgin Islands if you get a chance. Since I have no pictures, I'll try to use websites to give you a brief overview of my trip. When we arrived here they greeted us with complimentary rum punches! We had much fun drinking at the swim up bar and at Iggie's. I entertained everyone with my rendition of "Mambo No. 5," and I somehow avoided serious tailbone injuries while learning to look before you sit down. We also went on the Kon Tiki Party Boat! They had all the rum punch you could drink! If the punch wasn't strong enough, there was a bottle of 151 to give it a little kick. (We passed out by 7 pm that day.) We met a skydiver who has done some static line jumps and maybe his first hop and pop I think in Nebraska. Anyone know him? I have his picture on my lost camera! We didn't want this to be a strictly drunken vacation, so we decided to do a wonderful scenic tour on this daysail. WOW! It was so relaxing sailing along seeing turquoise waters and spectacular beaches. The snorkelling was great, too! There were eels, sea turtles, sting rays, squid, and many many fish. I won't speak too much of the St. John tour, but I got to see this in person. I love how that island looks almost untouched. Things I learned on my trip: -Five dollar water shoes are wonderful -Banana Boat with "Aqua Shield" sucks! -Staying on a prettier beach may be worth the extra cash -"Eat the Meat" will soon be a top 40 hit -I'll never get to do everything I want Anyways, I highly suggest that everyone takes a vacation somewhere like that because under the water just may have more interesting things to see than above the water. Plus, fruity drinks and steel drum bands just aren't as cool anywhere else! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  7. Thanks. I've never been so excited about a trip but had everything crushed a day before I'm supposed to leave. This f***ing sucks. I don't even want to go now. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  8. Wow! I should've looked at the price! Sorry about that! I could probably run it for you, Alana. It costs us $3 or $4, but I think I can get fired for things like that. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  9. I'm not really going on vacation to get away from it all, though. I was going on vacation for a romantic trip and so that I could do really cool things. Neither one seems to be working out.
  10. Don't worry. They'll find out for you. They'll order a motor vehicle record. You can if you want here: http://www.drivingrecordonline.com/ If you tell them that you haven't had any violations, and you do, nothing really happens except for the price that they quote goes up. 11. I would almost go with that except that every forecast I can find is exactly the same. The radar shows nothing but big ugly stuff coming that way. There's little doubt that it will be raining most of the time. Thanks, but it looks like it's just complete crap down there. On one forum they were talking about how this has been the rainiest May they've ever had. At first, I thought it might have been the same thing (they were just forecasting all the little tiny showers that go on in the day.) It looks like it's really just going to be absolute crap. So, what would all of you do if it was going to rain your entire vacation? Spending 7 days in rain doesn't seem to be the "paradise" I was looking forward to. 12. I'm all excited about my trip to one of the most beautiful places on Earth, and I see this (scroll all the way down to see what I'm talking about.) What are the chances that that will all blow over by this Saturday? I can't imagine stuck inside all day could be much fun when you had all sorts of cool outdside activities planned. 13. Cool! That'd be great! Thanks! Yeah, my pictures have always turned out nice, but I know they could look better (especially black and white photos.) I actually started playing around with my camera a bit in Spain, and some pictures looked amazing (ie, I had good luck on a few of them.) Well, now it's time to go pack clothes for rainy weather. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  14. Yes, I should probably put one of those clapper things on it..... There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  15. Nevermind. Given that three different online weather forecasts are telling me that it's going to be raining our entire trip, I don't know how many pictures I'll even be taking. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  16. I did that once, but it came out blurry! Maybe I should try to find another subject to take photos of and post that! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  17. Okay, but seriously, is there really an opening for that? I'm leaving my job soon, so I may as well start applying if there's an opening! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  18. It's Patrick! (I forgot his dz.com name.) Patrick is awesome since he watches my tent! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  19. HAHAHAHA!!!!! Mmm...donuts! My favorite Homer quote: Donuts...is there anything they can't do? Donuts are the best thing on Earth. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  20. Nothing unless I can figure out how to use my camera! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  21. I remember leaving "Cruel Intentions" with much tension. I think there were a few good scenes in it. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  22. No....The point of having a digital camera is that I can take as many stupid pictures as I want and not have to spend money getting them developed! (Have you seen my large collection of photos of food from Spain? ) There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  23. I have a Canon Elph S230, and I'm going on vacation in a few days. I've used this camera many times, but I know I'm not using the camera to its full potential. Any sort of "awesome" picture I get is pure luck! I've read the little book it comes with, but I'm still not sure of how to get my pictures to look amazing. So, does anybody have tips on how to get incredible looking pictures from my digital camera? I'll be on a beach for a week, so I'd like to get pretty beach pictures. It would also be neat to get pictures at night with the millions of stars that I'll be able to see there (as opposed to the 4 stars that I'm able to see here.) 24. I'm going to have to join a support group once the Target that's one block from my house opens! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  25. I'm not ashamed to admit that I love shopping at Target for my apparel! Sure, I've been in the fancy shmancy stores in/around Chicago, and I've tried on those $1000 shirts, but they didn't come with a unicorn, so I've never bought them. Target clothes rock! They tend to hold up pretty well. They have reversible dresses. They also have shorts which actually fit me! I haven't bought shorts in years (because I can't find Umbros anywhere anymore), and girl shorts tend to be made with the idea that I have a much smaller ass than I actually do. Target has stepped up and realized that just because my waist is small, my butt isn't! I just thought I'd give everyone out there my tip of the day: shop at Target for your clothes! They're cheap but good! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
