WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I almost forgot why I LOVE THIS SPORT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just got back from the DZ. Couldn't go yesterday {Thurs} so I did errands instead. Got up this morning with major butterflies thinking how much I couldn't wait to get to the DZ to be around skydivers again. Got there today about 1:30 sat around being lazy watching jumpers and tandems land talking with others just enjoying the sunny afternoon. Thinking to myself "I sure hope my heads clear enough to jump" *blowing nose*..... Figured my head wasn't stopped up just a runny nose ... So I got on manifest for a 2-way with my old JM/friend Bagwell. Sat there sorta nervous for some reason. It has been almost 2 months since my last jump. The 20 minute call comes so I get geared up. Got in the plane an on the way to alti I was thinking to myself.. "what the hell you so worried about?" got relaxed and as soon as jump run started I was back on that bicycle doing wheelies!!! We did a sit-train went f*ckin GREAT played around in the air with him till about 6k then went into a huge 8 second track pulled at 3800 in the saddle about 3100... Got schooled by Bagwell when I got down, but other then that felt like an old friend had shown up BUYING the BEER

I know, I know... you guys would never ever believe it.. I'm shedding my "Whuffo" disguise and jumping again this weekend!! I had some money saved up for a rig, then a small mishap with bubbles car and I had to help her with a downpayment on another.. sooooooooo what's left is going to let me jump this weekend!! I've been looking forward to this.. {was hoping it was with my own equipment} but I can't hold out till I can buy my own stuff... so I'm renting borrowing stealing equipment!! I MUST GET SOME ALTITUDE TO HELP MY ATTITUDE!!!! Cya at Spaceland this weekend... Starting Tomorrow Thurs afternoon.... I would love to be able to say "I told you so..." but I never made a comment about your decision to quit skydiving. I knew better, because once you've experienced the thrill and excitement of free fall and the ability to save your own life after flinging yourself from an airplane. You can NEVER go back to "real life" an not long for the butterflies in your stomache the thoughts of gliding into a slot then seeing the huge smiles on everyones faces. Glad to see your in the air on a part time basis. I'll have to give Bagwell a call and let him know. I have counting today 25 days till I loose currency. AggieDave, when I was in college at the other Texas Uni. UT I used to work as a guide on the Guadalupe. I used to spend my entire summers down there. On my off days I'd scuba around the falls and you could never imagine all the stuff you find. I think most summers I never EVER had to buy beer, because the "tube-monkeys" would always spill case after case to the river god. Also found a few rolexes, diamond ear rings, ect.. some sex toys.. you name it, it was at the bottom of "Horseshoe" falls. One time we had our campsite up on the side of a nice wooded area closer to the top of river road, right around the "Devils Playground" falls once you sped through those you came out to a long stretch of calm waters. We built a small tree stand that would hold 4 or 5 of us and a buncha beer in it. The tree stretched out over the water to about the middle of the river and up about 35' above it. We'd have water balloons and cannons along with 5-gal buckets of cold river water up there with us. Just past it was a WhiteWater pickup point so the people floating under us had been in the water {with an average temp in summer of 72deg.} freezin for about 4 to 6 hours.. it was a good time. "Show Us Your Tits" was a mainstay chant so as not to get drenched with our buckets and if your boyfriend said something he'd get swamped too. HAHA my brothers and I really pissed this one guy off so he decided he was going to climb the tree and kick our asses.. He made the wrong move "Bev" a {can I call her a woman?} woman who was working with us at the outfitters told him to get away from the tree or she was going to break his leg.. Welp he wound up going to the hospital with a broken leg. Bev didn't do it, he was pretty wasted on beer and slipped on the tree crashed through some sticker bushes and landed on the bank about 20' feet below. Well that was one story I have many many more about that river.. I seriously think we HAVE to get a group of skydivers together and make a trip for a weekend. Just not during a holiday weekend or it might be hard to find camping spaces. I used to have a contact at the Lazy L & L outfitters. I may see if he still lives up there. If so let's think about planning a trip for all the Texas Skydivers and any others brave enough to party with us..... Theres nothing better on a super hot day in Texas then lazily floating down the river guzziling brew and soaking up the sunshine.. One thing I WILL NOT GO IN A TUBE!! I agree The quality of the broadcast is amazing. This guy has worked hard to keep it free. Also the quality of the play list is great, it's not the same songs over and over again. I've been turned onto some DJ's that I would never even think of listening too. I went out this weekend and even bought some CD's {Here ya go Record Companies I spent money because of free radio!!} that I really enjoyed online. Just so I could have them in the truck with me all the time.

Your so correct sir.. I'm in Houston and have seen our "local" station become a shadow of what they used to be.. It's really not fun to have a radio station go to crap in front of your ears.. People really don't think about what they listen too and what people are behind it.. All I ask is LISTEN once in awhile see that there is ADD free radio out there.. Houston is a rockin place I enjoy all my visits and jumps there. But, you've never been to Spaceland.. I can tell because you didn't know they also have Packing in the AC.... and they now have 2 Otters... I'm going to try to make it out on Sunday have plans for Saturday.
