i haven't had a pelvic fracture, but a few years ago one of my lumbar discs herniated / displaced. It was very painful for a few days, then moderately painful for a few weeks, then settled down to a numbness in my left leg / foot that is still there and may be there for the rest of my life. The neurosurgeon said if i can live with it it is not worth the surgery. Not sure what sharing that is useful for. -

while in training most dropzones want you to do the entire training at the same place. sure you can switch, but you should be prepared with a reason why. once you are out of training, then it isn't usually a problem. if two dropzones in an area are in tight competition things can get ugly, stealing instructors / talking shit / etc then yeah you may be forced to choose one or the other.

Reading Chuck's wikipedia entry brought me to the pile o' drama called Victoria Yeager as detailed in this LA Times story: https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-2004-jul-02-et-hubler2-story.html 1. I hope he reconciled with his kids, although he seems irascible enough that maybe that never happened. 2. I am glad that as my own parents approach the age that Chuck was when they met, neither are well-enough off to get any serious gold-diggers attention.
