Dark times it is. Its just a shame. Im sorry for all you aussies, for douggs and the base-dreams guys who loses another close friend. and for your family I send my vibes, condolences and thaughts. Thanks for the times in Romsdal. fly on brother, and save a beer for me, Ill meet you later, but not now, not just now. I have some things to do until then. The good thin is that I know you are in a good company. Say hi to Combsey, Lukie, Slim, Dwain, niklas, Linus and all the other guys I miss so much. long flights dude! /martin R Team bautasten of Sweden /Martin - Team Bautasten of Sweden

This cliff is about 300 meters verticle then 300 meters 45 degree tallus. With a good track you will be able to take about 12-15 seconds. with a tracksuit or a small wingsuit about 20 with a big wingsuit about 40 seconds. depending on your skills. About the buliding I havnt seen anything jumpeable when it comes to buildings. Iceland is a place full of exitpoits. Though most of them are in very remote areas, and you need guiding, a jeep and the right person to show you. Also you need some time there in the right season. Allso its good to be a experienced jumper its not any jumpers place. We found many new exits, and some of them are sub-optimal but cool. If youre up for an adventure like small base-climbs in crazy areas with crazy drunk people playing the guitarr naked sitting on a huge rock after a Pink Floyd concert. Go to iceland ad look for Benni I can both recomend it and not recomend it. If you have the brain, dont go!! if you have the heart, do it you might with some luck survive ;) /martin /Martin - Team Bautasten of Sweden

That my friend is the best, sadest and funniest description I heard/read about this matter. you nailed the point and even If I havn't been on any of these events you are describing I have heard about them and also had similar experiences. Its all crazy, its all fantastic, and its all tragic in the same way. But as you say, Why the hell not.!? /martin /Martin - Team Bautasten of Sweden

get hold of Benni the Ice-Man He is a good friend of mine and my brother from another mother. He is the man. Him and me opened many jumps on iceland, atleast 8-10 good jumps slider down and one slider up. though there is a great problem with weather. /martin /Martin - Team Bautasten of Sweden

I was just about to give the idea away, But I just say like Espen. It is really cool. and special. And it works. Even if its nt the most profitable way to build a wingsuit/tracksuit. But its really a lot of fun seing the progress. Its pure sience! /martin /Martin - Team Bautasten of Sweden

Actionfigures is a kapitalistic way to extract more money from fans. In swedish manner we are in a true socialistic way more up for non kapitalistic ways of support. I bet the superswede would be better of coming to schools and offices and give workshops. He could probably give workshops in: - Rescue (heroic, one man rescue missions) - Good manners (in swedish Jante-law way of thinking) - Respect and trust in friends (lots of grouphugs) - pacifistic and neutral warfair (No war, No war, No war) - Turn the other cheek filosofy (some slapping involved) And offcource this is all for free. But Im sure the Superswede is flatterd by the request of an actionfigure. /martin /Martin - Team Bautasten of Sweden

Hi Espen and the others. I jumped Bispen right after you Espen and I can only comfirm your toughts about this exit. The ledges are scary but you clear them, The big ledge underneeth is not to be forgotten. This ledge, or should I say rock slope, is coming up quite fast and if you dont start flying it will eat you up. But when you start flying it is a wonderful an unique place for agressive and accurasy flying. ANd with a chans to swoop people, cars and other things meters from you. THis summer was very crowded in the valleys. and The mountains was jumped a lot. Bispen was jumped hard during a month and will be jumped a lot. One important hing about this cliff. THis is the front cover of tourism in Norway. This is what people see. If something really bad happends here , the alarm will go off. ANd things will start to happend. Jumps smart and have fun. Its a wonderful place! see you next summer at home in the mountains! /martin /Martin - Team Bautasten of Sweden

That is a rather authentic picture, It might not prove the excistance of the caracter, but it is a straight on shot. and the flag and the undies tells the story, but Im pretty sure that the Superswede har a more firm butt than that. I meen Buns of STEEL! that makes me doubth. /martin /Martin - Team Bautasten of Sweden

There is a sertain glow around the mythology of the Superswede. Independent sources have claimed him to be somewere among us, dressed as a normal human being, in a undercover alter ego. CIA, FBI and Swedish Police of security SÄPO have claimed that this is wrong that he is only a mindghost or a fantasy for sub cultures and intelectual left wing student groups. Pictures have been found and published but are they fake or real, no one knows. This poster is for all the fans and all you that stil hope there is a protector of good things and the swedish way of living. http://www.martin.nu/arkiv/bauta/ss_poster.jpg hope you guys like it and makes youo feel better, also you can find the film at Triax. take care /martin R Team Bautasten - Bauta rules - /Martin - Team Bautasten of Sweden

Haha this was a lot of fun. havent seen this much fighing in a long time. good to have Tom here to seaddle things up and ground them :) but still ratting on a person is a bit lame. but hey skydavers are lame. just like Golf. They are just so cute in their FS-suits so let them be in peace thinking they are rebels if that makes them more happy, We have our fun on other areas where they would never interfear. so let them have their DZ:s for golf/family sports. stay happy and jump hard and with respect. ta ta /Martin - Team Bautasten of Sweden

Nikon D70 is crap :) the vivid colors comes from Photoshop and Andreas's skills i that prgram. But Nikon D70 is a light cheep camera thats perfect for shouting AA shots. Same with Canon D350. cheep and light. But not really high quality camera stuff ;) /martin /Martin - Team Bautasten of Sweden

I can only speak for my self, nothing else. I felt that the SBA is keeping a little bit low profile at the moment. In the valley there is a discussion to illegalize the jumping but in the same time many people are against it. The valley is in great need for some positive vibes. Its very very important to cooperate with teh farmers, the local jumpers and the Air glacier fully. Be open, happy, and thankful, even if it is a little bit shallow, cause even if there is a long way to illegalize the valley we are walking on that road and we are slowley getting closer. PLease think one more time before you bring lowtimers over there or go there your self if you have never made subterminal cliffs or have very few of these jumps, Hte valley might look nice but its the place where most basejumpers die. if you go there play with low profile, have fun, use your brain. /martin /Martin - Team Bautasten of Sweden

Im jumping the rocketsuit, a hybride wingsuitwith many new safety tricks and still more fun than other semi wings, a little faster for my standards. It was perfect for the valley. /Martin - Team Bautasten of Sweden

if the person in this matter is not sure about his skills witha pair of thacking pants maybe the NEW!!!!!! tracking suit from birdman isnt the real thing. but I say what others have said. if you are a good tracker you dont need the extra materials is the teknique that matters learn it and until then, take my word Free FLy suits is foor looking cool at a dropzone I recomend rainpants and a wide steep profile for good tracking. When you rock in these, then you start looking for some PF pants, Impacts, Preassurized, Rocketsuit, Prodigy etc etc. good luck, go hard, use your brain and have fun. /martin rosén /Martin - Team Bautasten of Sweden

OK after one week in the notorious/famous valley of lauterbrunnen, my 10th trip over there and it was nice to be home. weather was so so, there came 25 cm snow on the tuesday (if you like to know how many feets, inches or yards that is you have to learn the metrical system its very nice ;) we met nice people from USA, Germany, Switzerland, NZ, France, Denmark so as always there is a multicultural enviroment full of jumpers. here is some photos that my friend Andreas took. http://andreas.2me.se/gallery/view_album.php?set_albumName=Lauterbrunnen-2006&page=1 enjoy. regards Martin Rosén Swedish BASE Team /Martin - Team Bautasten of Sweden
