    San Diego or Ontario Intl. are much easier arrival airport to get to Perris. A rental car is a good thing. e-mail the DZ about lodging. There are a few large groups coming over and also the UK Collegiates. The school staff and folks that jump there will be very helpfull. I'll make a leap or two with you.

    And yet I found Napoleon Dynamite and Old School hilarious despite lack of any appropriate experience to relate to. Maybe it is because those were funny movies and The Hangover sucked... Just a thought.

    Crayons, Pens, Pencils, Notebooks, Coloring books, Credit Card sized calculators, Construction paper, Stickers, etc all play well with the kids. We give it all to the town library for their after school programs.

    Ok everyone. We have been sold out of rooms for over a month now. If you want to join us you will have to find your own hotel to stay and then call me after you have booked. The phone and e-mail is ringing off the hook. Here's a tip, call in October next year!! And to the rest of you that are coming down...THANKS!!! See you SOON!!!

    I made a handfull of jumps in Ohio and then "retired" until starting again in '90 at Taft, then Perris. The first jump we did there was a bunch of Sharon, PA firefighters. We came up and did the first jump static line course. A kids TV show came to film called "The Trolley Show" out of Pittsburgh (KDKA). They highlited one of the guys and of course...he broke his ankle on his second leap of the day. Some of our fellow FF's drove up with a few cases of beer and lawn chairs to heckle us and watch the carnage! That was a fun day! I had the honor of being on Bob's daughters "pin dive" when she was 16 years ago. She did great! Jim West flew a Casa up for the weekend and brought Scotty Carbone along. I was back in town for my cousin's wedding and on a whim brought my rig. Lucky me! Almost missed the wedding due to jumping, of course! I feel honored that my first few instructors were Dale, Bill Jones at Taft and Jim Wallace at Perris.

    Wow. He trained me for my first jump in 1980. Bob flew the plane. I was 20 and thought Dale was pretty "OLD" to be skydiving back then!!!!!

    Oh puleeze. I have been on loads where an "Airspeed" member, plane captains, etc. have taken out the exit or the base. Zoo loads happen, simple as that. You gonna stop jumping with everyone???

    I have a lot of pals on FDNY. I wish you could sit and have a beer with them like I have and heard the stories of that day. I also have a lot of pals that were at ground zero digging for weeks. The only conspiracy I care about is how badly Mayor Rudy treated the FDNY in the immediate aftermath. If any of you are in SoCal Feb. 6th come on out and watch my FD hockey team take on FDNY's team for a Muscular Dystrophy benefit game. The guys will gladly discuss all of the "theories" with you...
