  1. Hi All, I am a newb with a used rig that needs its CYPRES 4 year service and batteries changed, reserve repack, main reattached, general inspection of both canopies/lines, and (if needed) any worn velcro replaced, etc. I'd like to do this so the rig will be ready for use by the time i'm ready to use it. All equipment mfg in 98: Racer Elite with PD190 main and PD143 reserve, and expert cypress. 125 jumps on whole rig. Any input as to where to take or ship it to will be greatly appreciated. 2. That's disgusting!!! An airport named after that horrid D-BAG, Trent Lott!!! "Remember the First Commandment: Don't Fuck Up!" -Crusty Old Pete
  3. I can empathize with your fear of the door. I took the easy way out: go jump with your girlfriend and younger brother, once they've jumped you're honor bound to go to! And, like you, I'm waiting- till March for it to warm up a bit, then it's time to finish those AFF jumps. Have you annoyed your friends and family with your new hobby yet? I've annoyed some, and converted others (like a Franciscan monk among the pagan indian tribes). Blue Skies and Soft Landings "Remember the First Commandment: Don't Fuck Up!" -Crusty Old Pete
  4. Happy New Year to all! To those jumping: I'm very jealous! Blue Skies "Remember the First Commandment: Don't Fuck Up!" -Crusty Old Pete
  5. You should get your girl to go with you! Not just for ease of gift giving either. Come night fall and the dz bonfire, your girl will be havin fun with you, typically it's more fun that way. (i've noticed that a dz party is kinda like a party on a pirate ship ) Blue Skies All "Remember the First Commandment: Don't Fuck Up!" -Crusty Old Pete
  6. Lucky dog! Hope the weather cooperated with you and you were able to get your jump on. "Remember the First Commandment: Don't Fuck Up!" -Crusty Old Pete
  7. Thanks for the greets all! As far as the rig goes, i found it on this site's classifieds, used. I was actually just checking out prices for future use. Then i saw a rig for sale by a guy 5 pounds heavier and the same height. Spoke to him and found he was the original owner-had it custom built, and it was his first rig (new baby=no more jump). Spoke to his rigger who gave the rig a thumbs up if price was right. (I ended up paying $1650 plus shipping) Now there is a 98 Racer (all components 1998 DOM) with PD 190 main, pd reserve, and cypres (all with 125 jumps) sitting in a box in my room waiting for me when I'm finally ready for it. Is it March yet? "Remember the First Commandment: Don't Fuck Up!" -Crusty Old Pete
