  1. I have ~250 wingsuit jumps, mostly jumping a Spectre 135 at 1.2, with a few using other canopies like Safire 2 119, Pilot 124, Vengeance 135, Sabre 120. My current wingsuit canopy is either the Sabre 120 or a Springo 120 (sorta like Stiletto), haven't made up my mind yet to keep the Sabre or not, as I have only a few jumps on the Springo and I'm not familiar enough with it yet. One wingsuit mal so far, but not due to the canopy, it was a hard/impossi-pull, so went straight to reserve after 1500 ft of yanking on my hackey. ciel bleu, Saskia
  2. FIRST: check with manifest etc if it's ok for you do pull high. It may not be, because of winds, other planes, wingsuiters, what have you. Then check with any wingsuiters that may be in your stick, you do not want to run into them (or rather, vv). ciel bleu, Saskia
  3. Were you going with the wind or against? Penetration = against, rearrisers = with the wind. ciel bleu, Saskia
  4. Paraski is a combination of slalom skiing and classic accuracy jumping onto a slope. Separate events, you do not fly your canopy with ski's on. Which to me always sounded silly But paraski has nothing to do with bladerunning etc. ciel bleu, Saskia
  5. Take a look in the swooping forum, the name changed to speedriding/groundlaunching. ciel bleu, Saskia
  6. PdF's Atom does, with the LOR system, also available on sport rigs. But AFAIK for Atoms it's 2 pins into 2 loops into one AAD cutter. I . My Atom was already modded to 1pin/single side RSL when I got it. ciel bleu, Saskia
  7. You think it's smart to throw a dvd recorder out the window at 120mph? It's not the lack of air that's the problem, that's with harddrive-type camera's. It's the violent shaking. DVD camera's are a pain in the *** anyway if you want to edit the video on a pc later. DVD video is compressed a lot, miniDV let alone HDV quality is way better, that alone would be reason enough for me never to buy a DVD camera even for ground stuff. ciel bleu, Saskia
  8. I don't see how you can attach a box in a safe way so that you can easily remove the box again, esp on such a thin helmet - no place to "hide" screws in the liner. I'd just buy separate helmets if I were you, or get a top mount add-on on top of the helmet with a quick release on it. Or buy a glove for the camera, it's certainly small enough, for some fun shots. ciel bleu, Saskia
  9. Uhm, i assume you're already using that camera for editing now? MicroMV is a pain in the ***, because of the codec you can't use most editing programs, because of the special ($$$) tapes and because you can't transfer between camera's (microMVminiDV) easily. But if you're ok with all of that, it's a very small camera which has its merits of course. Don't know about Gath but a very popular sidemount helmet at our dz is the Z1 freefly helmet. Removing a box is not practical AFAIK, so you'd be kayaking with a box on the helmet? ciel bleu, Saskia
  10. You just don't throw the pilotchute in between the wings and your body pretty hard to do in a decent fitting modern camera suit anyway. If you do manage it, IMO you shouldn't be jumping camera. ciel bleu, Saskia
  11. I only know how to edit NTSCPAL on a pc, haven't ever done it on a linear system. I have no idea if any of your methods will work. And if you're not sure you can only test it in the US since most European dvd players will play just about anything but standalone US dvd players will not. If you have a pc with say Premiere Pro, i'd use that to convert+edit... But region free doesn't have anything to do with NTSC/PAL, AFAIK every consumer dvd burner is region free, although on a pc you can set some software to a specific region, f.i. Adobe Encore DVD. edit: wait you want to end up with PAL. If your linear system is ok with NTSC why not leave it that way? Most European players will happily play NTSC. ciel bleu, Saskia
  12. Yeah but those are US prices Over here you pay about 25% more just to import. For Dutch etc gear prices it's about 1 usd to 1 euro ciel bleu, Saskia
  13. 73 kg gives you a wl of slightly over 1.2 which wouldn't be allowed in The Netherlands, also a 150 wouldn't be allowed
  14. 2200 euro sounds about right, yes. Maybe 2000 is better. But is the rig right for you? For a 150 at 60 jumps you shouldn't weigh more than 65kg. What have you jumped before? A sabre 150 might open hard, have you jumped this particular canopy. Does the harness fit you. ciel bleu, Saskia
  15. If you have freefly pants why not get a video top to go with them? Sonic makes very nice tops (the first of my pics). ciel bleu, Saskia
  16. To me the wings look as if they might get in the way of your rig. I'd ask for a pic with a rig on too. Like I said I like my wings bigger. Easier to hang in for filming from below. Why not order a suit like the pics I attached? ciel bleu, Saskia
  17. I think any type of wing would work for that, that's what bellyfly wings generally do? Although you'd have to arch more than in the picture otherwise you're backsliding pretty fast. I just like the wings bigger than in the first pic, attached to harness or leg. The backflying/sitflying BTW gives you the same POV but is easier on the neck ciel bleu, Saskia
  18. 2nd I think is a Caroline Suits suit: http://www.carolinesuits.com/indexvideo.html ciel bleu, Saskia
  19. I jump wings like that, they are great for backflying and sitflying plus of course bellyflying. Don't know what you mean by "stand up flat position"? ciel bleu, Saskia
  20. I remember some PD guys saying a pattern should start there or even higher for a swooper. And BTW, I'm not a "dude" ciel bleu, Saskia
  21. 1) Get a parachute over your head. 2) Land it safely. 3) Don’t hurt anyone else. 4) DON'T CROSSPOST 5) Repeat… ciel bleu, Saskia
  22. Demo jumps are statistically pretty dangerous too, so why not ban those too while we're at it? ciel bleu, Saskia
