OK this weekend I survived my first century. My body hurts, but I guess the endorphins were really pumping through my body because my face hurts from smiling a lot. Met quite a few hotties, but was stupid and didn't get any numbers. I need to do another century. Considering I didn't train at all, and I had no clue what I was in for I think I did well. I am not sure what my over all seat time was, but my friends and I started rolling at 0800 and I crossed the finish at 1730. The final brake had a little wine not a bad Chardonay, and then for the final 8 miles of the ride. Which when you hit the causeway you get spanked by a monsterous crosswind. As of now my hands are still numb, my ass hurts like I spent a week in prison, and my legs are cranky at me. Perhaps next time I do something like this I should get my bike tuned up before the event, so it will work the way it is supposed to. I also need to retape the grips.
