So today I made an obscure movie referance, and the person I was talking with actually got it. I made a coment that our server room looks like something out of the movie "Brazil" With Terry Gilliam. There is a new AC unit with ductwork running everywhere, plus all the wires coming out of the servers it is crazy. Thing is the electritian actually got the referance. EMS options: A) Work for a private company who abuses the crap out of you untill you give up your certification, and quit. B) Work for a city, and get burnt out because your reward for a job well done is another job. C) Be a jolly volly. It dosen't pay jack, but you can run jobs when you feel like it however you have to deal with the political BS of the volly corp. D) Be one of the lucky ones and find a job working for an Operations and Management sub-contracting company with a management team that actually supports you. I have done three of these options.
