So the other day I was conversing with Peter on the phone about ideas on how to put a shot into the arm of my business, and I basically came down with I have been too passive... which is a big no no in the business world. While in the shower at work I thought to myself, "If I can go from 5 jumps to an A license in a week and a half, what else could I do if I really put forth my best effort?" Ok so I bought an old rig. Had it inspected by one of my prefered riggers, and he said it was airworhty. Also the other rigger on the dropzone said I got a good deal on it. However here is my issue. I had nothing to do the other night and was trying the rig on again. While I was trying it on I was keeping the things in mind that I had learned from the person at square 3 while I was demoing a rig the last time I was at CK. The chest strap is allright, the rig rests on my shoulders right where it should be, and the three rings rest right where they should be. However the ony thing that just isn't right is the leg straps. It would seem that my Z-Axis is longer than the previous owner. I was wondering if I could get my leg straps I don't know if this is the correct term but is is all I can think of would be "Lowered" about an 1 and a half to 2 inches? I can arch in this rig the way it is, but it could fit just a little better. Also in the paperwork I have for the rig it says that it will accept a Pegasus 220 or a Raven III reserve. Does anyone have an idea as to what reserves would have an equivalent pack volume of these reserves? FYI it is a Talon with a DOM of 09/87 Divot your source for all things Hillbilly. When I was two, my parents moved them and me out of a 2 bed, 2 bath, 39th floor with terrace rent controlled apartment on the upper west side. Suport her brother. You don't want her to resent you for not allowing her to do something she loves. I say to people the worst thing that can happen to you doing a tandem is you might just fall in love with skydiving. Do a jump see what it is all about. It is all risk vs rewards. I have done several things that most other people would see as an accomplishment, but the thing that I felt like was the biggest accomplishment of my life was graduating from my student progression AFF jumps. I became an EMT, Fire Fighter, and a Haz-Mat Tech, but the feeling of accomplishment when you graduate AFF is unbelievable. Just have a serious discussion with her about paying for skydiving. WHy the fuck do the southeastern states have the flu shot before my area does? It isn't even offered yet at my job. And in FL and GA they are getting slammed with people rushing to get the FLU shot.
