Don't know if this works for cats, but trained a dog like this. get on one side of the door with their food and make them go through the door to get to it. Might just want to use a treat since it's a cat. It won't happen overnight. Of course I think you are at first gonna have to show them that the wall in front of them actually is soft and moves. Bury your used banana peels at the base of them just below the surface. I'd do this by finishing up the peel, i.e. when you open a banana and your peeling the skin back just keep pulling it till it comes off. Then bury the 4 or so peels around the base. Freefall is about a 3 second delay from the time you get set out on the drop platform. Acrophobia some little turd nugget is down there pushing a button.
