  1. Although both candidates have said that they're against a draft... the Kerry campaign has LIED about Bush's position on it. You know that more than once they've implied that Bush will reinstate the draft. Even given that... if both candidates are opposed to the draft, why would Rock the Vote be making it an issue? Hmmmm? Oh, hello again!
  2. I don't get it... first the left bashes the administration for not having enough contingency plans for Iraq, then when they DO start making plans for things that MAY or MAY NOT happen... they get bashed again? This is fuckin stupid, and you know it. As for Rock The Vote, you and I know that it is a left leaning cause hiding behind MTV. While their politics could mean shit to me, what they're trying to do is noble... register young voters. What they're ALSO trying to do is present issues to these young voters without being objective. It is wrong to tell kids to vote for Kerry if they don't want to get drafted... and whether you'll admit it or not... that's what they're doing. As for the lawsuit.... I dunno... if there's grounds legally for that... go ahead, use the tool of the left against them. Otherwise, I'd see if I couldn't educate the Britney Spears generation to the truth somehow. Oh, hello again!
  3. Well, I can see how one might surmise that given the below quote and the fact that the NAACP openly opposes Bush. Sometimes, from the way they act, it's not too much of a stretch to assume that they're on something! Oh, hello again!
  4. Apparently they've got some fact checking to do. Desert Storm took place in 1991, so I doubt there was money coming in from the US right about then. Also, they fought us with Russian and French weapons, so we probably weren't arming them in that timeframe either. Oh, hello again!
  5. For someone to admit and accept a mistake they made doesn't mean they have to admit it to YOU. Do you really think it'd serve the public interest to hear their leaders, doctors, or cops thinking out loud about mistakes they may have made? For them to do it out of public view among peers and advisors is the most I'd expect. And if things are being improved so the same mistakes won't happen again, you can bet it took more than just one person to say, "well, we could have done this better." They just didn't do it in public because I don't think it's what would've been best for the office. Oh, hello again!
  6. Leaders often don't admit to mistakes because it would undermine their abilities to do their jobs. I don't think Bush should claim that he fucked up or anything like that. As long as the problem was noted and is being corrected, that's all that matters. In fact, I'll go even as far as to say that IF Kerry is elected, I don't even want to hear him talking like that... it undermines the office. Fix it and move on. Oh, hello again!
  7. Would apologizing change any of that? Or would we do better to improve our intelligence community so that we can be more assured next time? If you think that there haven't been any changes in that realm because of Iraq, you're kidding yourself. It doesn't take an apology to do things better next time. Admit it, you just want to see GWB apologize to make yourselves feel better... and so you can rant more about him. Oh, hello again!
  8. Aren't you always telling people that maybe they shouldn't always post the bullshit that gets forwarded to them in emails? Regardless, I've always wondered what the deal is with the left and the hard-on they have for wanting to hear someone apoligize. If he were to apoligize for something, would you immediately forgive and give another chance? Or would you jump up and down screaming, "See??? He's a fuck-up, he admitted it!!!" Either way, it's stupid for anyone to even make a demand for an apology. You think it serves anyone's interest (other than those who hate the president) to have GWB apologize? You don't have a good response to this... I'm sure of it. Oh, hello again!
  9. Waaaaah! Right or wrong... that's the FCC position apparently. What authority does the FEC have in situations like this? Can they actually block it, or do they have to request that the FCC do it? Remember, I'm ignorant. Oh, hello again!
  10. Apparently the guys who probably know the rules even better than anyone here think it's okay! http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,135461,00.html WASHINGTON — The Federal Communications Commission (search) won't intervene to stop a broadcast company's plans to air a critical documentary about John Kerry's (search) anti-Vietnam War activities on dozens of TV stations, the agency's chairman said Thursday.... Whine away! Oh, hello again!
  11. And Sinclair has offered Kerry time in the report. It has yet to be answered... so then it'll all be okay when it runs. Right? Oh, hello again!
  12. *tinfoil hat on* No shit, so now GWB has massive influence with OPEC? So much influence that he was accused of conspiring with the Saudis to have gas prices drop before the election? Look at the prices! Besides, wouldn't that, in your estimate, hurt his good buddies from the oil companies? Which way is it? Or should we just believe that GWB has the entire oil industry and OPEC under his thumb? Come on... OPEC often will reduce production just to say "fuck you" to the Americans. How can you say that Bush has influence there? Most of those countries aren't all that happy with us anyway right now. Oh, hello again!
  13. Yes, you're right about the capitalist regime of Blockbuster, just trying to make a buck! BUT, it is defacto campaigning against bush. Shit maybe they should regulate it too! My point wasn't about the public airwaves and what not (originally), but that the same people who fell all over themselves about f911 would cry piss and vinegar when they read the article... mainly because free speech only applies to their ideas. Since then, it has become a debate about broadcast rules, FEC, and FCC stuff. I still think it's okay to put it on... it's just a background piece on the guy!! Oh, hello again!
  14. Guess you're mad about Bush's connections to OPEC then, right? Since they control almost all the world's oil.... Oh, hello again!
  15. Yeah, I went to Blockbuster too, and guess what... there were no copies of FarenHYPE anywhere to be found, but there was a whole wall of f911s. Another poster found ONE copy somewhere in his blockbuster. Super equal there! And the point is that the left REALLY wants to get the F911 to as many people as possible before the elections (even though we all know its complete BS), now Sinclair wants to broadcast a story about Kerry's testimony in front of the Senate and they have a problem with it. I was right, look at all the steaming going on! Unfortunately, the left cannot complain about the SBVFT commercials when they fully support MoveON and all the other Hollywood 527s. I've seen way more anti-bush ads than anti-kerry. Actually, the broadcast is supposed to be commercial free. Take that! Oh, hello again!
  16. So maybe the Bush documentary will appear -after- the Kerry one airs! Oh, hello again!
  17. .... and what about Johnny and Thereza's interview with Oprah or Dr. Phil or whoever that was on broadcast TV? Since it was daytime TV and it was a "family" interview, it seems it was targeted at homemakers. Very against the public interest to not balance it with something from the Bush family... right? Oh, hello again!
  18. Contrary to what many of you beleive, we did not start this fight. I've already argued this somewhere else. We are not fighting in the middle east because God or Allah told us to. The fundamentalists are guilty of both things. You'll never convince me that attacking the people who attack us and the world over for some bullshit religious or pseudo-political reasons have a valid stance. The greater conflict here isn't about oil or WMDs or revenge... it's about fighting against people who want nothing less than the entire eradication of everyone unlike them and imposing their religion on the world. I know, you're going to point at Soviet Afghanistan and the fact that we invaded Iraq... but it goes way deeper than that. I've asked this question before and no one has ever answered it. Do you REALLY think that even if we gave in to all the terrorist demands that they'd leave the world in peace? Really? Oh, hello again!
  19. Bill, stop it. Like Josh said before, go look at what we have written and realize that we are talking about that so-called 1%. They are not just like us, or even just like the "silent majority" of muslims. They're subhuman scum that hopefully will be wiped off the face of the planet. Oh, hello again!
  20. Technically, oil companies do profit from the prices being higher... but not for long. It depends on the contracts they have to buy oil at fixed prices. These contracts aren't usually very long term, since no good trader would bet it all on something as volatile as oil. Keep in mind, if the oil prices drop, the same companies lose money. Either way, it's all relatively short term until the prices become somewhat stable. I do see a paradox here though... if you guys are all over saying that Bush and his "oil buddies" are guilty of wanting the oil prices inflated... how can you turn around and say that this war is for oil, since that would lower oil prices if we got ahold of Iraqi oil in large amounts? Oh, hello again!
  21. Okay, I'm going to lay this out for the last time. Islamic fundamentalists who engage in terror and believe in wiping all other people off the face of the planet... are shit, scum, and I don't give one rats ass about them. If either of you can even somewhat honestly tell me you think that these fucks are equal to good 'ol Mr. and Mrs. Smith, who raised 4 kids and have 2 grandkids, go to community events and give neighborhood kids lemonade on sundays, then I think you're nuts and I will never see eye to eye with you on this matter. Ever. It isn't arrogance, it's truth. Open your eyes, because from here... we can see that you're blinded by politically correct bullshit. Understanding their motivations in order to beat them is one thing. Sympathizing with them, or avoiding living your life because it just might make them mad again... is complete caca. And bill, I already explained what I meant by leftovers, but if that's the straw you want to cling to... go ahead. Oh, hello again!
  22. ... or Clinton? Oh, hello again!
  23. No. If I did that, then I'd have decided that rape was a good enough reason for me to kill the rapist. So are the reasons you list good enough for you to sympathize with them? No again... I think I am better than the militant islamic jihadis, that's why I want them wiped out... not my own people. Either way, you're always claiming that we're no better than them anyway... so if we're all equal really, can we be better than them? We are fighting the terrorists... the good, law abiding, life valuing arabs are not blowing shit up and running in the streets with RPGs. The terrorists hide behind these people and get them killed. How can we go "understand" them to a peaceful solution? Oh, hello again!
  24. What bothers me most is that there are really people out there that are de-facto terrorist apologists. "They're mad at us because we put our troops on holy ground, it's really our fault" "They're mad at us because we help Israel exists, so you see, it's our fault" "They're mad at us because the west killed many arabs in the crusades, so we should be ashamed of ourselves" "They're mad at us because we allowed oil companies to exploit their natural resources, what bastards we are!" "They're mad at us and want to kill us because we can CHOOSE to be Jewish or Christian or Muslim and don't put up with a religion-based government, how can we not see the light??" It's one thing to know why they're mad, another to sympathize. Some people would just rather blame the US for everything, because it's just not right to point out that that group over there is causing problems... that'd be racist and anti-islam. Oh, hello again!
  25. If the Red Cross approved of the concentration camps, then how about we just say "fuck what they think!" and do what we want to do. Oh, hello again!
