  1. If we avoid being daft, will you avoid being ignorant? What specific policy is fucking up the world? Is it worse than the policies of the Romans, the British, the Japanese, the Germans? When hasn't someone been fucking up the world? You think that someone like China would be a better superpower to deal with? Daft, indeed. Oh, hello again!
  2. I'd rather ask the people China isn't using as a PR piece... you know, Tibetans, Taiwanese, hell... ask people in Beijing. I have. I don't think you'd like their brand of governing, Bill. But hey, I guess I can't assume to know how you like your oppression. The US must be much worse because you don't seem to like the president this time around. Oh, hello again!
  3. I wonder how sick of a Chinese imperalism they would get... and how quickly the nausea would set in. The old saying about the devil you know comes to mind. So does the one about being careful what you wish for. Then again, many people are only against things and don't really know what that makes them for. Oh, hello again!
  4. Hey, I'm looking for former Golden Knight, Kurt Isenbarger's t-shirt company contact information. Anyone know how I can get in touch with him? Thanks in advance. Trent Oh, hello again!
  5. TEXAS STATE RECORD 150-WAY SEQUENTIAL INVITATIONAL AND CASA TAILGATE BOOGIE APRIL 18-22 This is going to be cool! 150 of the best skydivers will gather in Rosharon, Texas to decorate the sky with multiple freefall formations. We now have all of the slots filled on the entire team. We have 86 current or former world record holders with 92% of the rest of the team having been in multiple 100-way or larger formations. Seven large aircraft will carry the group to 18,000-21,000 feet, giving the skydivers 60-70 seconds to complete the formation. Following the formation the sky will blossom with 150 beautifully colored parachutes. The group will be making eighteen 150-way skydives, attempting not only to break the current Texas State Record of a 120-way formation but turning multiple points on the dives. This event takes incredible organizing, planning and extreme talent. We are forming sponsorship packages if your company or organization wants to be involved. The sponsors will receive recognition in many different ways depending on their level of sponsorship (published materials, media releases, logo on t-shirts, display boards, etc.). Please email eric@skydivespaceland.com and include TSR sponsorship in the subject line. This is an event that takes involvement/participation from everyone, not just the skydivers. Kirsten Dardmant is organizing the volunteer effort and we are currently building the team. Here is a quick paragraph from Kirsten: Hello everyone! The 150-ways are coming up and we need your help. Skydive Spaceland and the TSR Team needs volunteers to help in all aspects of the record attempts, including registration, loading, oxygen systems, jumper pick up, and much more. The TSR will take place from Wednesday (all day) to Sunday (until 6:00 PM), April 18th-22nd, 2007. If you are interested in helping out, please contact Kirsten Hardmant at kirsten003@yahoo.com and let her know when you would be available to help out. This is the largest skydiving event to take place in Texas to date and it cannot happen without your help. So come on out and enjoy some of the most exciting skydiving you will ever see, and be an important part of making it happen! What else is going on at Spaceland during the TSR? We will have 2 Casas and 5 Otters at the DZ and we're also having a tailgate boogie while the TSR is going on. We will also be doing tandems during the event. We will have organizing for everyone and also a birdman weekend that will fill the skies with wingsuits. Jason Weisberg will be organizing wingsuit flyers and expects 15-20 “flockers” or maybe more. If you are a wingsuit flyer or are interested in birdman flying, then come out to Spaceland on April 19-21 and jump the Casas. Stay tuned for more information on the wingsuit weekend. RV slots during this event are limited; call manifest at (281)369-3337 to sign up for one. For more information, see www.texasstaterecord.com. Oh, hello again!
  6. Hey fuckers, at least no one can bitch that the US Gov't stole 12 billion Iraqi dollars! There seems to be some proof that it was sent back to the country! Oh, hello again!
  7. So it will always be a good idea to use more than necessary to get the job done. What prior speakers did IS relevant... but clearly you beleive that what was good for the gander is NOT good for the goose. I resent that you think that this has anything to do with her being a woman. There are many many reasons not to like this politician without resulting to insulting her because of her gender. It's pathetic that you'd try to project that on the argument at hand. I'd have the same problem with anyone needing to up their travel requirments so they could bring their family and entourage with them everywhere. Oh, hello again!
  8. You've misread apparently. I stated, sarcastically, that there's no way she should have to fly a smaller faster jet that *might* have to refuel while her "peeps" fly commercial... Explain to us why the speaker, now that it's Pelosi, deserves to fly in a much larger more luxurious plane than the last speaker? Oh, hello again!
  9. You're right. She DESERVES that plane. There's NO WAY that she should have to book her "peeps" on commercial while she takes a smaller faster jet and has to MAYBE make a stop to get fuel. I forgot that when people get elected, they become instant royalty and can't be inconvenienced by a 15 minute stop. Oh, hello again!
  10. Or is it because she NEEDS a big jet instead of a commuter jet, which Hastert used? Is it because she seems to think she NEEDS to ferry her entourage and family everywhere? Is it because she holds sway on the armed forces committee and the AF is afraid to say no lest she cut some of their funding? Is it because she made a big stink about ethics and now realizes that without a BIG JET funded by her lobbyists... she needs an AF BIG JET to move her oh-so-important people around? Oh, hello again!
  11. Now if we can just get SOMEONE to investigate all those black comedians who wouldn't have any routine at all if it weren't for mocking white people! Oh, hello again!
  12. Does anyone take issue with the main idea of Prof. Stein's article? Like a few people have said... I think he's pretty close to right on. "The Media" seems to have become a player in an arena where it has absolutely no business. But I guess many people will disagree since they agree with what goes on. Oh, hello again!
  13. Yes... the answer is always to give your government more say-so in your lives. All hail the claw!!! Oh, hello again!
  14. I'm specifically talking about bill listed as number 5. I guess I should have made that clear for you. I thought it was kinda obvious. I always wondered how much introducing some bills was really about getting the legislation passed vs. getting some political points for being able to say "I introduced a bill to..." So far, none of the text of his bills are available on the senate site... so even you don't know what's in those bills... feel good or otherwise. It should take more than the introduction of a bill to impress you. Oh, hello again!
  15. I guess if you like "feel good, do nothing" legislation... okay. Would you have called Roosevelt someone who wants to send off his countrymen to war and supported the degradation of our constitution? How about Kennedy? How about Clinton? They must have all wanted our troops to die in wars too. Good argument. Oh, hello again!
  16. So all someone has to do is introduce a bill to end war worldwide, hunger, AIDS, and bigotry... and you'd vote for him? Oh, hello again!
  17. While I can see that it came off as talking mainly about Europeans... I've travelled to countries in Asia, the Middle East, and South America numerous times and that is also where my opinion comes from. So, yes, I've heard more than what you assumed were only European views and they're still very similar in their varying degrees of misinformation or inaccuracy. Oh, hello again!
  18. I'm not the most travelled or experienced person in the world, but I've been to a bunch of different countries and I've never been shy about talking politics to people in those countries. Why? Because more often than not, I find that what they think about American politics and actions are usually skewed at best or flat out incorrect at worst. Everyone always seems to make fun of how ignorant Americans are... well, they're right... there are tons of ignorant people here. Guess what? There's TONS more ignorant people outside of the US too! For all the yakking that our European counterparts do about how well informed they all think they are, my experiences with the normal "guys-on-the-street" in different countries suggests otherwise. Don't assume that because someone has an accent that they know what they're talking about. Oh, hello again!
  19. Who are WE to tell THEM what to do? Oh, hello again!
  20. Is iiiiiit.... because what he was saying is TRUE??? Oh, hello again!
  21. Yes, it is an assumption based on who the guy was, how outspoken he has been about Putin's government, and the manner in which he was killed. I guess it could just as easily have been that waiter that he stiffed on a tip though. Oh, hello again!
  22. Skydekker: How so? It seems to be Litvinenko's case that he defected, was given asylum and was killed. Did I miss something? http://www.guardian.co.uk/russia/article/0,,1952383,00.html Frenchy68: The "Top Gun" thing was a joke. But you knew that. I know that some long for the "old days" since they were at least predictable. I know many also don't long for those times, just look at the Ukraine and their last election. AMax: Correct, it most DEFINITELY would not. That's like having someone ask you if they can GIVE you herpes! Just "sounded" that way. My mistake. Butters: And then you get the appropriate amount of shit when you get caught executing someone who is now a foreign national that has been granted asylum. It might be part of "the game" that these guys sign up for, but it most certainly wouldn't be something that the US could get away with doing today. So you don't know if it's happened before. Fair enough. Either the US is REALLY good at it and hasn't gotten caught, or the US doesn't really asassinate defected spies (if any) who have been given asylum very often. Oh, hello again!
  23. The US has executed "plenty" of spies? Do you mean like the ones that got caught and tried, convicted then executed? Isn't that a little different than going into another country 20 years later and asassinating someone with radioactive material? If you mean the US has done stuff like that and got caught, I'd be interested to see some cases. It'd also be interesting to see how many US agents defected to other countries to get asylum from the US and whether or not they were asassinated for talking bad about our president(s). Oh, hello again!
  24. Would you call what the government had during the worst of the commie years as popular support? If so, was it based on all the government controlled information that was fed to them? And maybe, if this type of stuff does have the support of the Russian people, it's because they liked it better when they were the US's counterpoint in Top Gun. Oh, hello again!
  25. That was priceless! ... almost every time I've seen a black stand-up comedian there's been white jokes. Oh, hello again!
