  1. Pixie and Zoolander (gasson) were dubbed so by his Red Hot Forkness for reasons of his own.
  2. Oh Ian you mean we can come to the bbshop contest and actually hear you sing?! As I said it was billed as such when I was there. One would think you'd be impressed that someone actually knew about it!! Since you brought it up I wonder how many skydivers know the history of the society in which they belong? Seb what happened to the winery?
  3. Well pardon me but I started going way back in the late 70's and it was billed as "National" so if it isn't so now, I stand corrected. I lived in Forest Grove for a few years but that was ions ago.
  4. Just about any book you could want can be found at Powell's! I love that place and am glad they have an online store! The brewery makes a wicked burger and some of the best fries around. If you are looking for a bit of family recreation try the Aquatic Park in Clackamas. It has an indoor wave machine and water slides.
  5. I would love to help you out Viking but the pattern is full. Generally someone asks to stay at my place in early March or so. Next time ask earlier, you know you are always welcome
  6. I've been waiting for someone to pipe up just so I could use this phrase.."cut me a little lattitude...dude"

  8. Sorry but Cornelius is not just "outside" of Portland. With traffic it can take over an hour to reach downtown. It's closer to Forest Grove and Hillsboro. Forest Grove however is host to the National Barbershop Quartet competition. Oregon is a beautiful state with many offerings. HoodRiver is one of the major points of interest for sail boarding in the Columbia River Gorge, snow skiing/boarding at Mt. Hood and Bend, the annual cherry blossom festival in The Dalles;Highland Games at Hood River CC each year;the Hood River Jazz festival. Downtown Portland has the Rose Festival. Too many things to name. The turbine dz is Skydive Oregon in Mollala just 18 miles from the airport with many skilled flyers. The dz itself is quite beautiful with lots of friendly folk. They do have a tendancy to ask for beer penalties to be paid in Mirror Pond Pale Ale One of the nicer microbrewers also has an eatery. McMinnimans and they are locatd in several places throughout the state. Try the Full Sail Ale. There are several grape growers in the area. Try the one in Dallesport Wa directly across the bridge from The Dalles. Same longitude as some of the finer grape growers in France...who would have thunk it? If you are really adventurous...try the chicken gizzards at the Bar in Dufer and then make your way to some of the best country driving toward Kent. On your way back stop at the Bridge of the Gods in Cascade Locks. Wonderful view. Then make your way across to White River Wa. They have a fabulous B&B with homemade pasteries. Oh and don't forget Hood River produces cherries, pears, apples and other fresh produce which you can pick up at roadside stands. Look for Steadmans.

  10. OK guys all bunk house slots are gone. These fill up in September. Generally all team trailers are gone prior to people leaving in December. As I said there are 2 DZ.com trailers available. They are 4 person rooms. The cost for each trailer is $308.00 for the entire stay plus a $50 cash refundable deposit for the key. Even though some of you have contated me wanting a trailer, they are on a first come first serve basis.
