  2. Hi honey! So glad to hear that you are doing better! Lots of love to you and your beautiful bride. Smooches. B2
  3. turtle...does that fall under nanny, nanny boo boo or I know you are but what am I?
  4. I am against it. I view wingsuit flying as a discipline just as RW,CRW,VRW,Freestyle, Swooping, and Skysurfing are. None of the listed disciplines require someone to have an instructor rating to teach, and all are engaged in by licensed skydivers. Just my .02 B2
  5. First and foremost it should serve what is in the best interest of the competitors, and place this before all other relationships. Jan's post would be part of that. (I can say this as a former competitor and an individual who has been through the entire process) Some times I read posts in the forums regarding Nationals and just have to shake my head. People don't know what they don't know...and I can't expect them to know what I know. I would enocurage people to educate themselves on how the entire process works from begining to end. The USPA could learn from other sports on how they conduct the bidding process. I have attempted to explain it before, I have been through that process too with an Olympic sport and it just makes good sense...but alas here we are. B2
  6. Best wishes for a speedy recovery! B2
  7. I have a Kindle2 and absolutley love it.
  8. Thank you everyone for the well wishes, it's so very much appreciated.
  9. I have had my passport since 1977 when I traveled to Europe for the first time. Yeah...I'm as old as dirt
  10. Happy Birthday Cocheese! Whatever you do be good...or be good at it
  11. Bwahhh nice one lippy! Rather like trying to argue with a head of lettuce.
  12. You're confusing #44 with #43. We were sold that bridge. And then we even paid the contractors who didn't build it. Well I stand corrected. Please refer to item #43. He said.."I have a newer bridge other than the bridge I sold ya in the middle of the desert, and it doesn't have water either. Oh and while you're at it work harder!"
  13. He said "I have a bridge to sell ya in the middle of the desert. Oh and there isn't any water there...." Pffffft.
  14. There is something I don't know that I am supposed to know. I don't know what it is I don't know, and yet I am supposed to know, And I feel I look stupid if I seem both not to know it and not know what it is I don't know. Therefore, I pretend I know it. There is nerve-wracking since I don't know what I must pretend to know. Therefore, I pretend I know everything - R. D. Laing, "Knots" (1970) Thanks IKE...the above 'splains it. Do you know IKE too?
  15. I've read all the posts, and hopefully she is no longer in your house. If she is...then my questions to you is...why aren't you having your partner deal with the situation? It's her friend and she should take responsibility for her friendship. If the friendship breaks down afterward then it wasn't worth having in the first place. Just my .02 and yes you may toss the penny for my thoughts back.
  16. All the time or just when the fleet comes in? coffee all over the monitor! Bwahhh G...I stand in the fire all the time and things (not so nice) are said. Most of the time its a matter of considering the source, and realizing that the person saying those things 1) Doesn't have all the information 2) Doesn't know me and 3) Probably has never spoken with me. Still I accept their perception as their reality. All we really can do is check our motives when making decisions and then go doing the next right thing. People can disagree without being disagreeable. If someone thinks I am not being nice maybe it's because they are being a complete twatwaffle LOL Now about that fatal attraction stuff...bwahhhhhhhh
  17. Oh we had a great time jumping at rick's! How did you manage to bruise yourself? Hell women were jumping nekked off of the rocks when I was there. I still maintain that there are some things that are just better left private Then again...Bwahhhhhh Hope that you had a great time.
  18. Well heck. I think it's more important to celebrate each other every day. I appreciate a thoughtful gesture when someone feels compelled to do so and not because it is expected. I see nothing wrong with combining the two, but that's just me. I guess what is important here is how your partner feels about it. Sometimes it really is about choosing your battles.
  19. It was wonderful to have an opportunity to chat with you and Mrs. Squeak! (thank you for the Tim Tams)
  20. Belize? You so suck! (In the nicest possible way) I am packing warm weather gear as the temps are going to be at least 40 degrees cooler than in Arizona. Brrrrrrrr Oh and it will probably snow.
  21. patience is a virture hold if you can seldom in a woman but never in a man!
  22. Actually, that isn't quite accurate. Tangible evidence to support such claims was sent to USPA HQ 26 June 2006. My point being that Jan didn't have the evidence but HQ did.
