Do you know who Brent Finley, Michael McGowan, Greg Gasson and Omar are? All have had images used without permission. We have had several people turn up here trying to use coupons. Skyride has been asked several times to remove Skydive Arizona from their lists including the facticious "approved drop zone list". I say that if you see nothing wrong in these practices...it goes to character. I stand by my earlier statements.

Ya know...some things are better left private But since its out there I guess its time to share. My eldest daughter made her first tandem skydive on Saturday. McGowan (bless him) took photos while Ash flew video. I never thought she would ever jump and no I didn't pressure her into doing it. It was of her own accord. I can say that it was an emotional experience and I am extremely proud. Having faced her fear she now realizes that the only limitations she has in this life, are the ones that she sets for herself. I do have another daughter that will fly in the wind tunnel until she is old enough to jump. Can you say my own free fly team?

So it is ok then to sell skyride coupons to people that purchase a certificate to jump at a certain drop zone, even though that drop zone doesn't do business with skyride and won't honor them? I say it doesn't do justice to the skydiving industry as a whole and casts a negative light on the sport of skydiving. Furthermore, if you don't think that the likes of Brent Finley, Michael McGowan and Greg Gasson don't copy write their photos, its already been stated that they do. Even here on Dropzone.com there is copywrite protection. Some of the photos in question were taken without permission from websites where said photos were the only place they could be found.

In a word..yes and it isnt just about photo theft. I suggest you read the other thread, as well as visit Jan's site. People have talked about the unsavvory business practices, the BBB listings and findings. Its best to be informed when responding to threads such as these. B2
