No kidding there I was...heading out to Nationals in Lake Wales. Day before I left my roomie bugs out on me, leaving me with no ride from the airport and no place to stay. I was rescued by a fine fella with a big heart who retreived my sorry self from the airport and hauled his trailer out to Lake Wales for me to stay in. That was one of the nicest things anyone has ever done for me. Random...I don't think so. Some are just really good people. Now if I could just get him to quit with the "I'm not worthy" LOL

A couple of updates in Eloy. Our runway and taxi way are currently being re-paved. Nice! There are a few spaces left in the women's trailer. I need to get those filled to keep the costs down. The price given per person is dependent on a full trailer. We've made a few changes around here...the bunkhouse has been totally remodeled. New bunks, new twin size mattresses, privacy curtains around each bunk, a new TV,VCR and DVD in the common room as well as dry storage, cold storage and a microwave. There are also new lockers to store your personal belongings. We will be offering linen service for those not wanting to travel with sleeping bags and pillows. The bunk house will get cleaned daily, so its best not to leave anything out that you don't want disposed of. There will be a deposit for the linens and a slight charge for the service. Reservations for the bunkhouse (30 slots) will be available once the software arrives and taken through manifest. I will let you all know when that service becomes available, so please wait for that announcement. I will also let you know at that time what the deposit and fees will be. Ladies showers will have privacy curtains (sorry guys) and thank you Sunny for the idea!

The AZTC is in operation and has full support of the drop zone. That staff includes TJ,Dusty,Amy,Jason, Jeffro (for now), Punisher and a few others. Omar's group is a club and a private entity.

I've made hundreds of jumps with dytters attached to my goggles. Yeah I rigged it up and it worked perfectly fine. I've never had an issue with the goggles coming loose, then again I've never had a really hard riser strike. I will add that I did this when close to competition time and while training with a camera flyer. Partly because its more aesthetically pleasing for the judges in the discipline of freestyle skydiving. Any other scenario... I wear a helmet. I choose to wear my helmet more often now even while training...the ground...its just damn hard.

Yes indeed! Considering that 3/4 of the skydive is under canopy I find it interesting that people don't spend more time learning to fly them. B
