    $10 JUMPS!

Sounds great just let me know and you can crash at my place. I'm a few hours from ATL but on the way from Deland.
  4. Andrea I thought we both had perfect landings both days...HA HA Just some people have a different perception of perfect. Mine is any landing I walk away from is a good one!
  5. HELP....I've fallen and I can't get up. OK, I just can't get the pics up but anyway. I really hate computers. Since I have the video and I was there I guess I can just watch it from there. I would really love the pic's however so would you email them directly to me??? The video is great....everyone at work now thinks I am crazy.

    $10 JUMPS!

Just saw this thread....blonde you know!! It was wonderful meeting you too. Next time we must jump together. I actually managed to pull off a stable sit while down there so I was excited!! Wahoo!!! I'll be back before long just because I hate cold weather while jumping. Watch your stuff around PINK ...you know they got their name from the movie Resevoir Dogs...careful. I kept mine by the Army guys stuff. Nothing they would want or be able to use!!
  7. Clay...he falls like a rock with weights on. It is all I can do to keep up. Just don't let him get above you as he loves to crash a party!! Love ya JT. I agree with you Mike, a good time was had by all. Everyone of us got in several good jumps and lots of FUNny pics. It was wonderful putting names to some faces and getting to hang around with everyone even if I did sorta crash on you Sat night. Don't forget to give Skymama the award for the messiest jumpsuit. PLFexpert should get the award for being the cutest as she is a doll. Hey guys, I found your skydiving model everyone was looking for about a month before. We definitely need to jump together next time. It was great meeting you 7 and getting to jump out of a perfectly good/fast airplane with you all. BTW Medic...I called for a medic on Sunday but there wasn't one to be found.
  8. Andy was such a great guy...he will be missed greatly. I always enjoyed jumping with him because even when I screwed up he found something to praise me for which made me feel good. He was always upbeat and positive when he was at the DZ making him a fun person to be around. Thanks for the memories Andy...blue skies forever Lisa
  9. I've met and jumped with Dutchboy, Brokeneagle, Clay, JT, Watcher, Skycam3, but plan on increasing my number considerably this weekend at Deland!! I am supposed to know Freefallfreak but who knows???
  10. Sorry to hear it Pammi...hope you find something soon or heck maybe take Clay up on his offer....could be fun if nothing else! Seriously good luck.
  11. I agree with Aviatrr...I use my old American Airlines luggage with crew tags now even though I no longer work for them.....saves time and hassle. I would not trust the baggage handlers with my rig on their life. I been loading a galley and watched how the luggage is handled....do not do it, you will regret it. Most rigs in a gear bag or rolling luggage will fit in the overhead (not on an L1011) so use them.
  12. My baby is a Mirage MOS purple, teal and navy. Spectre 135 Purple, white and fuchia. PD 129 (?) reserve I don't want to know what color. Cypres and no RSL.
  13. I flew Delta with mine to Boston from Atlanta with no problem. I had my cypres card and gave it to the security agent as I passed through. Both ways they were very nice (yes, even in Boston). I had put it in a rolling suitcase that would fit in the overhead bid and clipped my helmet bag to the suitcase. I wouldn't just wear my rig on the plane as it could make other passengers and the flight crew nervous so make sure it is in some type of bag. I also put a pullup cord around my handles just in case. Most major airline and airports have dealt with enough rigs that there shouldn't be a problem. Best of luck.
  14. If it requires a haircut we are in trouble since I think Demi Moore already took the shaved cut and I don't have much more! Just remember that you will all eventually get there. Also, if you get me you must get Watcher too since he did his 100 on the same jump...be fair guys...plus he has a pretty long blonde ponytail for you to mess up unlike my short hair.
  15. BE CAREFUL...a mother's last words before her children run off and play. maybe I need to say it to you!! Seriously, stick to heights you can handle...miles!!

    Fat bastards

Next thing you know some of you won't want to jump with those of us who still fight demons on the way up and out but go anyway. I know this may have started out as a joke, but we all have demons be them fear, fat, ugly, or whatever. As long as we are facing them head on and dealing with them I say live and let live, jump and let jump. Lisa
  17. My mirage does not have one. On my cutaway I pulled both handles and did fine. If you practice your procedures then you know where the handles are and should be capable of pulling both fairly quickly. Even with an RSL I would pull both so I don't see the point. Personally I think the RSL has a strong chance of giving me an entangled mess over my head. I also have a cypres.
  18. NOT mY FAULT...I stayed around until after 10 and even cooked for them all. They had their chance so .... YOU SNOOZE, YOU LOOSE
  19. Nope, neither Watcher nor I got caught thankfully so my new rig is safe for another couple hundred jumps. Yahoo!
  20. Sin honey, so glad you are out of the hospital and doing better. Make sure Mom takes good care of you....if not let us know and we'll see what we can do. Stay off of it and do as you are told so you'll be ready to jump with me when I come out in December. Keep us posted on your progress. Glad you were not hurt any more than your leg.... FLAAARRRREEEEEE next time.
  21. Oh my God that was too funny. Keep it coming Duck, you quack me up. AA...Deland is in sunny FL... I'm all over it next weekend...can't wait to get there!! Is it Friday yet??

    ugh

If I remember correctly you were having headaches really bad and that is why you stopped jumping. Are you still having them? When was your last jump? Did anything happen on that jump? I'm not going to offer any advice to you right now. I would rather hear more of what you are feeling and why you think you are feeling that way. Maybe then we can help you work through this to find the best possible solution. BTW....Medic you need to read and take your own advice. Do it or quit...you are starting to sound like me. LOL
  23. You two both ROCK. I'm sure Sin really appreciates your love and support. Thanks for being there for him. Hugs to you both, Mouth
  24. The day dawned bight and clear. The haze was already being chased away by the sun by the time I left home; however, the clouds rolled in thick and low by the time I drove into the DZ. My first thought was I wonder how low the base is, and can we pull of a hop and pop just to get me there. This thought was quickly followed by the thought that I am a plane snob and I really hate a cessna. Thankfully the sun had followed my car to the DZ and we were soon jumping from full altitude. I had to get those 5 jumps in just because I was determined to hit 200 before I went to Deland. Jump with a newbie, run in and Watcher packs for me while I catch my breath and manifest. Jump again and again Watcher packs for me. We jump together on the next one sorta....if you can call my sit jumping! Oops one of the guys has a cutaway on this jump. Second one in two days...double check your stuff. We pack up and I go on a solo just to get to the magic number...to heck with these people who don't want to jump. I'm getting tired by this point. The weather is starting to look bad again and nobody wants to jump...0 to bitch in 2.3 seconds. Now is the time to plan my 200th and Watcher's 100th. We had talked about doing a hybrid but lots of people are gone and nobody really wants to do anything much since the storms can be seen in the distance. We bounce back and forth about what we are doing, if we are going or if we are just going to hit it in Deland. Of course I get upset due to the fact that I wanted to hit 200 where I started and I wanted to do something different. Everything is finally worked out for a 4 way base with two freeflyers pulling stands underneath. We load and watch the ground grow smaller as we climb to altitude. It is a light load so we all stretch out and relax. We talk about breakoff and what to do if the jump goes crazy. When we hit altitude you can actually see the sun smiling down at us. The door light comes on and the guys spot to see if we can even see the airport. Miraculously the storms are still off in the distance all around is. I can smell the rain in the distance as the door is opened. Please don't let it move in on us while we are jumping. We line up in the door and launch off. Not the best exit of our life but certainly not the worst. One of the freeflyers docks and we wait for the second. She is low and falling lower. About that time on of the camera flyers swoops into the empty slot and we continue. When they pull to the stand we all tumble due to both stands not being timed correctly. Of course about that time we hit lots of "industrial haze" so we hang on for life. Everyone eventually breaks off, tracks and pulls... thankfully no problems. Beer was owed and paid before I left last night as the storms raged outside the hanger. I'm glad those skydivers in heaven kept the storms away and gave us a bright spot in which to play.
