Opening up the contract for more than one company to bid on it. post edited after reading a bunch of previous posts I ignored

I did a recent experiment and proved per the scientific method that the more you pay someone the lazier they get. I tried to show my results to the media, but they shot me down immediately saying it was right wing propaganda and they weren't even interested in my results. Its all been proved already so you should all take my word for it and believe it and don't ask any other questions or ask to see any of my data because the liberals burnt it all.

I didn't know you were black. Fo shizzle

I lived in Germany for a little while on a govt contracted job. While there I got really sick with bigassoreonmypenislitis or something like that. I had to go to a German doctor. It was awful, he drove a volvo and they didn't have any pretty pictures on the walls. I couldn't even find a field&stream in the waiting room. I will never use a foreign healthcare system again.

I actually found out he only did 11 years. Still pretty sad. He would have been a lot better off if it wasn't his ex-wifes new boyfriend though. I listened to some of the trial, and the prosecution made the jury think that he used this as an opportunity to get revenge and he killed this guy in cold-blood murder. It was a pretty sick and pathetic attempt, but not pathetic enough for a jury not to buy it. This guy is the probably the kindest and most harmless man you could ever meet. Just dealt a bad hand in a f*ed up justice system. I suppose its better than a lot of countries though.

I think if he's in your house with a gun or knife, you probably won't go to jail for shooting him. However IMO if anyone breaks into your house while you are there, you should have a right to kill them on the spot. How is one suppose to know that a criminal that just broke into your house doesn't have a gun, until its too late. This is a sensitive subject for me because a relative of mine just did 14 years for manslaughter for shooting a guy that broke into his house with a baseball bat. Seems if someone broke into my house and had a baseball bat, that's enough threat on my life to take him out. Turned out the guy was his ex-wifes new boyfriend. I think that's why a jury convicted him, but still the guy broke into my RELATIVE'S HOUSE with intent to HARM him. I just don't get it sometimes. Maybe some people don't consider a baseball bat a dangerouse weapon.

Things you don't want to hear your President say...
diverborg replied to eaglenrider's topic in Speakers Corner
Yes, yes. We all know Team America works for the big corporations. The corporations sit in their corporation buildings and sit there all corporationy and they make money. Do you really want a common man to win either? I trust our nation a little more to someone who knows economics well enough he can make himself a multi-millionaire, rather than some whiny fool that blaims his misfortune on everyone else. Sorry buddy, this is the land of opportunity, if you don't get rich it's your own damn fault. -
You're right, you win. I give up.

Help! Falxori, Trent, now what do I say. I will refer you to this latter quote of yours Oh these palestinians are oooh so innocent. I'm sure none of them would ever have a problem with the Jews settling in with them. I'm sure all of these palestinians accept the principle of equal rights too. Damn! Considering that the majority of the middle east is Islam, this does not surpise me. Ya know, Muslims don't like Jews. I found that out after reading some of the Koran. However I'm neither Muslim nor Jew and I'm viewing this as a third person who is not really affected either way. Neither side is perfect, but Israel has played the bigger man and backed out of Gaza. It seems to me that Israel is trying hard for peace right now. If they weren't they could wipe out the palestinians in a couple days with their military. I'm not buying into your "the Jews are the bigots, and the Palestinians are the victims".
-
What was so incomprehendible about what I said? You obviously think the state of Israel belongs to the palestinians. If so, then the Jews have no place there. I only made the point that the palestinians don't own Israel. I never said that they don't have the right to live there. How is what you said more comprehendable than what I said? Notice I added to my previous comment "Can't we all just share" Sorry I'm gonna have to go with Falxori on this one, as far as the history of Israel goes.
-
Maybe my post was a little inappropriate but I found it funny at the time. I do find it very bizarre that there are some people here that think Israel belongs to the Palestinians. Where do they get this from? I guess everybody has a different account of history. Can't we all just share.

HOME...........VISITOR Jews 03..........Palestinians 01 Good post man!!

Or better, "Well you obviously haven't seen our airplanes."

This is just bizarre. Sounds like a bunch of broken-hearted bitter feminazis that want to take out there frustrations with love on the whole world. I'd be really shocked if this 20% thing is very accurate though. I have a hard time thinking that 1 in 5 women really feel this way. Unless, Swedish men are just assholes that go back to cavemen days where you drag your woman around by the hair. Then this six hour work day thingee, WTF!! That's got to be a real economic stimulator. Lemme guess they still want the same daily pay for working six hours. Sucks to be a business owner. If I lived over there I'd rather leach off the system like everyone else than try to stimulate the economy by starting a business that the government is just gonna try and hold back. Thank God, I live the US.

The pledge ruled unconstitutional in public schools
diverborg replied to livendive's topic in Speakers Corner
I'm sorry you feel like a second class citizen, but I do not view you as any less important or condone any Christian to treat you as any less important. We are instructed to love everybody. However, I have to go to work and I don't have time to debate it. But I have a hard time as seeing Christianity detrimental to education. I know plenty of kids that went to private Christian schools that continued on at a state university to get a degree. A good friend of mine is a chemical engineer and a Christian. Imagine that. It's all about hearing all sides of an issue, not just the atheistic and not just the Christian. -

That makes perfect sense. You don't find it offensive, but I have seen interviews with some atheists that do. These are the ones I tend to understand less. It seems pretty simple to just not say the words if you don't like them. I understand this too, but the majority of people in America still don't see God as a myth, otherwise this would have been thrown out a long time ago. So why not let majority rule. This is the best argument I've seen yet. I think this is the first time I've been able to understand one's reasoning behind leaving out the "under God" part. However, I don't feel that it suggests this, or that the country is really doing this as a whole. I know plenty of people on here that would be very quick to disagree with me though. And of course being a Christian, there will be certain theocratic interests that don't bother me. This is not saying that I want the US to be a theocracy. -

Correct me if I'm wrong. I got the impression from other threads that you are an atheist. If so you do have a lot of good reasoning, and maybe can explain to me the feelings of some of the other atheists. Is having the phrase "under God" that offensive to most atheists or is there another motive behind their push. I mean is it considered atheistic blashpemy for atheists to say "under God". If so, and there is no God, who would hold them accountable for this horrible act of blasphemy of acknowledging a God. So why does it remotely matter if it's in the pledge. However, I can understand someone from another religion being bothered if they had someone else they worshipped that didn't go under the name "God". But funny enough, these aren't the people that are complaining. -
Amen, so my news station is the best! Oh yeah and my penis is bigger too. oops gotta go to work now cya

I always watch FOX news because that's whats on in the breakroom at work, I've never heard nor misconceived any of the following. Of course more of it's viewers are right winged and probably get this info elsewhere to try and support the cause. This is a pretty fair analysis, except I don't really watch ABC to know if it's slant. However in FOX news's defense, I really don't see any political bias in their normal news reporting, I do however in their commentary. When I watch CNN, I can't help but feel that every headline and every story has a political undertone which just gets downright annoying especially if your a right winger. Just my humble observations, and I'm sure a left winger would say the same about FOX. In conclusion, both stations are obviously bias, but I do think one is more bias in the news reports.

just a guess, but was it little nicky

I think enough people know what Powell stands for by now that he could run as an independent if he didn't have his party's blessing. True that he is a leader and not a politician. I think this is what our country needs and if there is enough people(which I think there is) sick of all the political bs, then I think he could win by a landslide. Cross your fingers maybe he'll run, or pray

Damn, 1010 must be getting laid. All those replies to his post, yet he doesn't respond once. Man sure gots some self discipline.
-
See, I only plan on posting just once, but what I didn't plan for was a response that pisses me off. Duhh. Now I have to waste my time arguing my point for no reason other than to not let down. I don't think the day will ever come when somebody will change their beliefs because of what someone else said on SC. Otherwise, it's just a good place to vent your frustrations, I just learned to uncheck the box that says "send e-mail notification on reply" and then I never go in the forum again. Oh yeah, and the days that I do post more than once, you're probably right, I didn't get laid that day.

I guess the reason I haven't sent in for the awards myself is because of the cost. It's good enough for me to know that I've done it without the certificate. I have however sent in a for a couple because I found them very cool at that point in my skydiving career. I'm assuming uspa just doesn't have the interest in jumpers in keeping them. However, I don't understand why they need to get rid of them. What is the cost to filling out a little paperwork and sending a couple stickers. Will $30 per award not cover this (not sure if that's the cost)? If there are still people that want them, then keep em and let them pay for em. There must be more to it than meets the eye. All in all, its not a big concern of mine. They must obviously not be making money off of them if they want to get rid of them.
