Last year the US spent $528.7 billion on weapons? No shit? But DOD total budget for 2006 was less than $420 billion. That includes operating and maintenance costs for the entire military. Packing Cathy is just a wonderful person. She has a great safety record and has a passion to do everthying in her power to make her fun jumpers happy. She also makes is a great experience for people doing their first tandem jump. They currently have a C-182 but will bring a larger plane in due time. Location wise is just great. You get to jump over the Georgia / Florida border and see from Amelia Island right across the Atlantic Ocean. They have two landing zones which have plenty of room for all types of experienced jumpers. The larger field just north of the hanger is for the beginers and the field closest to the hanger just to the south has plenty of room for more experienced people and the swoopers. They also have packers that can get your sport rig packed in about 5-10 minutes and do it safely. As fast as the packers are, I've never had a MAL from them yet. Over all I am dedicated to help Cathy grow and I hope this review encourages others to come visit and become regulars.

I just wanted to start a thread for skydivers to post their Memorial Day tributes to fallen family or friends who died while in service. This thread is also for anyone who would like to just post comments in general for our fallen sailors and soldiers. I will start with Lance Corporal Joshua Watkins of Jacksonville, Fl who died in Iraq on Oct. 21st 2006. We will never forget what you and your unit did and sacrificed. Just a minor correction. I LEFT the united states. I'm a permanent resident of Canada. But the point is largely irrelevant. I did follow all the rules, filled out mountains of beaurocratic forms, paid many thousands of dollars, and revealed intimate details of my history to the authorities who can now use and abuse that information as it sees fit. Of course I trust the canadian government is at least partially guided by decency and respect. If I were trying to immigrate into the U.S., I'd be scared to death to open my life up to that bloodthirsty government. I stand corrected. The door was swinging the other direction in your situation. It's more than viable narci. There are a lot of U.S. citizens that think legal immigrants in our country should be here (including myself), and that illegal immigrants should not. Lets take you for example, you're a permanent resident and have every right to be here since you aren't here illegally. I highly doubt you smuggled yourself on an orange truck. A round up over night is not feasible, but locking down the boarders and deporting illegals over a period of time can be. I respect your view point but I still think the bill isn't the solution. I own a QuasarII and had sent it back to Strong Enterprises 10 days ago. It was just sent back to me completely fixed in accordance with Service Bulletin #26. Mike Rinaldi (sales & service) was very apologetic about the situation and strives hard to get their customers' rigs fixed ASAP! I was impressed on how fast S.E. jumped on it, and how much they were concerned about my safety and satisfaction. You know I've seen a lot of posts in this thread asking the question of How can I trust this company again?. This was never an issue of anything intentional. Further more, I ask has anyone ever dealt with lets say a car dealership and the service manager makes excuses or is laying down the "cover up"? Here is what I got from Strong Enterprises so far..... 1. It was a bad design. 2. Fortunately no one was killed because of it. 3. We are real sorry and are investigating right away. 4. Please send your rig back at our expense because we have a solution. 5. Your rig is fixed and we apologize for the inconvenience. Please take comfort in knowing that the modification was test jumped by the company's president. Yep, that sounds like a company that I can trust when their sales and service department convey to me that they truly want my business for life and will do anything to make me happy. It doesn't take a rocket scientist or someone with a D-license to sniff out good customer service and a company that stands behind their product. I agree with your point in this post. The government of Iran is different from the people of Iran. For the record (and make a note of this because it's a rare statement coming from a Republican ) bombing the entire country if Iran is not the answer regardless if they captured saliors from the UK or whether they continue to snub their nose at us about the production of nukes. I do like Newt Gingrich's idea which is to set up a blockade on Iran for imported gasoline. Iran only has one functioning refinery so if you bomb just that refinery, all the crude in the world is useless at that point. Force the government to import fuel and then send NATO forces in to stop the incoming tankers. Eventually, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will get tired of walking as will the rest of the country and will come to their senses that the captive sailors aren't worth it. What does bother me personally is that the elite left wing icons such as Ted Kennedy and Harry Reid haven't jumped to the defense of our allies by demanding the release of the British sailors. It was a violation of international law and complete disregard for the Geneva Convention. BUT they can sure squak about Guantanamo Bay and how unfair our enemies were mistreated.
