I’ve been a fan of The Sheepdogs since 2013: I liked their sound and the fact that they were a bunch of Saskatchewan farm boys. Since their early days, they’ve refined their sound a lot and I can’t overstate how much I dig these guys. They’ve made a lot of great albums and some awesome videos over the years and ‘Keep On Loving You’ isn’t the most representative of their music in general, but the video is one of my favorites. I actually had it in my head to ask the band if I ever had a chance to talk to them, was this a video they made around a song, or was the song written around the idea for the video. I ran into Shamus at a concert of theirs a few months ago and just ended up fan-boying out on him and forgot to ask.

It’s an allegation on here. I’ve got no reason to doubt you other than that to me, you’re a rando on a forum talking shit about another rando. No worries: I’m a rando too, so take my notes for what they’re worth. I definitely, sincerely hope that anyone being abused in this scenario is able to find a better situation and that their abuser gets what they deserve.

Likely would be less expensive in the long run, but the upfront costs and the resistance to any kind of transition are likely to stop any moves in that direction dead in their tracks. I hate to be the guy who shits on what is an obviously good idea just to say 'It'll never work', but colour me skeptical. I've long had the thought that there are 3 general types of people who get into law enforcement: Those who see it as a calling, those who see it as just a career like any other, and those with a big-ass chip on their shoulder who see it as an opportunity to get a badge and get the respect that they feel deprived of in other parts of life. It's a generalization and oversimplification for sure, but I think there's some truth to it and I worry about the percentage of cops behind door #3.

Bill, I generally tend to agree with most of what you post on here, including the general point of this post. That said, I think the above is a bit of a misrepresentation of what she posted. It seems like she’s taken a disproportionate amount of shit for one post she made about what was an undoubtedly traumatic experience.

The confusing/odd bit is that the extremist said "OK, let's go answer the door and while I'm fix'n to bash your head in". I think it can be chalked up to nothing more than DePape not being the crunchiest cookie in the box, and Pelosi's keeping calm and keeping the guy engaged in conversation rather than being engaged in hammer-swinging. It didn't make a whole lot of sense for DePape to agree to go open the door to see who was there, but it's not like the dude was on a sensible decision-making streak that evening. -
Nobody has said that. Several people have repeatedly made the point that the mass shooting can’t occur without them…but I guess a few more dead kids is a small price to pay for a kick-ass picture of a kitchen counter full of guns!

It's not whataboutizm, it's pointing out the double standard. Hunter certainly leveraged his last name to get some prime deals in life. Nothing illegal about that. The Fox Nation has a huge collective boner over allegations that require some pretty big leaps of faith to take the least bit seriously, while brushing off the fact that Ivanka Trump was actively doing business in China while holding an official White House position. It makes it hard to take much of those concerns seriously.

Never got a DUI, but once in Venezuela I had a couple of cops pull me over shitfaced and then they followed me to the ATM to pull out their bribe. Surprised by how much better I'm feeling 3 weeks into Dry January. I don't drink a lot these days, but after realizing it's been 20+ years since I went a whole month without whetting my whistle, figured it would be a worthwhile endeavour to take a month off. Will probably be feeling a bit rough Feb 2, though
