    that canopy did search quite a bit. if you watch the vid 9as kelly said) the brake didnt fire on opening. the canopy searched...I may have shifted in my haress/or given other input... it took off and went into a couple twists...then when dealing with the twists I appearantly released one of the brakes... (may have actually helped in this situation) after all of the twists are out you can clearly see one brake is still stowed, and the canopy is still diving and spinning at a fairly high rate of speed... then I finnally release the other brake and "Whew"... -yoshi _________________________________________ this space for rent.

    well, the superman ghostrider was done with a handfull of wind. the winds were at about 10-15mph... My turn was also kind of low... my best approach (in my opinion) is when I start out a little high...in deep brakes, let off the brakes and go directly into double fronts, then let my right riser up a little bit to do a 180 or 270 then once back on heading go back into double fronts for a second or two...then let up to plane out. so, in answer to your question...it just kindof worked out on that swoop.. I definatly try to get on heading and then go back to double fronts before planing out, but when a little low I can eliminate the double fronts and still not have to dig too much...in most cases. -yoshi _________________________________________ this space for rent.

    well the one titled lazyboy ghostrider 2 is a superman ghostrider. psucory put them on there for me since I dont have the ability to put vids on the internet with my pc... I think the switching back and forth is kinda cool, personally...but I can see how it may make you feel it last a lot longer than it actually did. thanks for the input.. yoshi _________________________________________ this space for rent.

    I ablsolutely love sushi... hell I am going to go for lunch now... great place here in houston..good sushi, and not too expensive either.. I have to say my favorite it Tako (octopus) its a little chewy, but sooooo yummy unagi has to be second choice (grilled eel) tastebuds watering jsut thinkin about it... -yoshi _________________________________________ this space for rent.

    yeah I saw both views...one from the end, and one from the side... it was a reallys tupid mess-up that I got lucky and walked away from it... but after watching the video a few times and talking with EZ and danny I feel much better mentally about swooping. The od thing was it didnt look as bad on video as it felt. I could have dug out of it, but for some reason I never made any input and just *kursplashed* ohh well... just taking it back a few notches now, and sticking with some "normal" swoops for the time being.. -yoshi _________________________________________ this space for rent.

    so you have a copy of that too huh? hell...honestly I dont care if you put it on there... worst it will do is maybe help someone else think about turning low and stop them from hurting themself...     yeah there is a costume party sat night...bonfire out by the swoop ditch and pond.. unfortunately I work sat night (bartending until about 3:30am) so I wont be there late... that will be great.. swoop comp with 3 hours of sleep! -cory: yeah I would like to make it web friendly so I can post it on here for peeps to check it out and to show my brother... and I wouldnt claim last place just yet... you never know ...hell Ill probably chow a couple rounds...and I may even bust on the freestyle round for trying to go a little too big... (hmmmmm should I play it safe with a superman??? perhaps go a bit bigger with a superman ghost rider??? or pull out all the stops and go for the blind man finishing with a 360 (full line twist) or attemp a never before seen freestyle move I had a dream about???) guess we will just have to wait and see... -yoshi _________________________________________ this space for rent.

    ok just thought I would share... sunday morning I pulled off the sickest of swoops I have done to date... it was fairly early in the morning so the grass was still nice and slick from the dew on the ground... no wind, and I was flying my crossfire 2 111 loaded at about 1.8 or so... I actually accomplished (and stood up) and LAZY BOY GHOST RIDER!!! (for those who dont know what it is: durring the swoop my feet were out in front of me and I was sliding across the ground looking up at my canopy in a laid back position... I then released the toggles and risers so I didnt have anything in my hands...then I reached back up to grab my rear risers to pull myself back up enough to get my feet back underneath myself for landing) I am still totally stoked from it. I dont have any stills, but I have video... I dont know how to put it on here or I would, just to share.. ok so thats all just had to toot my own horn a little. -yoshi _________________________________________ this space for rent.

    I have flown a crossbraced canopy, and I like a few aspects of them..hell I even want one, but I can also fly my crossfire close to its limits and get some pretty nice swoops out of it. I think it would be a great idea to have those 2 divisions. not only crossbraced flyers are swoopers..and the crossbraced canopies flown to thier max will beat out a conventional 9 cell canopy. just my 2 cents... _________________________________________ this space for rent.

    ok...salad fingers is pretty cool and all, but I dont think I can pull that one off... kelly: I am thinking hook turn vern is a good one... now where can I find a bowlingball pattern for my jumpsuite? mel: Jay pulls off the hawiian thing much better than I could...plus I think it might get a little chilly in that grass skirt I like the one night stand Idea... clever.... if I could only be clever enough to think of my own costume I wouldnt have to post this silly poll
