    On my honeymoon, we went deep sea fishing. Quote On my honeymoon, I went camping in a tent. That was two trips in one... first and last... I did camp in a popup trailer in November in the mountains of Virginia. It was the first time I went hunting for deer. I found out that it's really true that it's colder before dawn.     I was at jumpjunkie2004's birthday dinner last night... I sat beside her whuffo boss. Somehow the subject of skydiving came up. The whole evening's conversation went like this: "So, have you ever done any rockclimbing?" "No, I was into cake decorating for a long time." "Have you ever gone parasailing?" "No, I kinda liked to garden before I started skydiving." "Have you ever gone bungie jumping?" "No, I liked to crochet though." etc., etc., etc... The guy just couldn't believe I started skydiving before trying a bunch of other activities. I suppose that's unusual. What else did you do before you started skydiving?     Are you telling me Alvin is further than 12 miles from the DZ? Do I need to change it to Angleton? Quote I just doublechecked the driving directions on Expedia.com. It said Days Inn in Alvin is 16.8 miles and Best Value Inn in Angleton is 13 miles from the DZ... probably not enough difference to matter. I already had reservations in Angleton and didn't want to go through the hassle of changing them. What do you call a beautiful, sunny day that comes after two cloudy, rainy ones? -- Monday.

    Has anyone booked at the Days Inn in Alvin? And did you mention SkyFest or Skydiver? Quote I called, but they didn't know about Skydiver rates. They asked that I call back during business hours. When I compared the distance of the hotels on Mapquest, Alvin is 18 miles from the DZ and Angleton is 13 miles from the DZ. I had to pay $5 more per night to stay at the Best Value in Angleton, but it's five miles closer. What do you call a beautiful, sunny day that comes after two cloudy, rainy ones? -- Monday.
