Camo sure is a sweet dog, and he acted perfectly normal when I was there this month. That reminds me of the signoff of a radio program I listen to... "God is still in control, and prayer changes things." I brought a rescue beagle home for a trial. The first day with me, she had a seizure... a bad one. I had to rush her to the emergency vet repeatedly over the next weeks. The rescue organization was going to put her down because they considered her to be unadoptable. I couldn't let them do that. I adopted her. I named her Garnish. It was supposed to mean something that adds color and flavor to our lives. It ended up meaning what the vet was going to do to my paycheck when I couldn't pay the bill. I spent thousands of dollars at the vets before she was under control. She had to have two custom prescription medicines twice a day in order to control her seizures. She was the smartest dog I have ever seen. You could just see the wheels turning in her brain trying to figure something out. She taught the other dogs how to get into trouble. She was challenging, but a really nice dog.
