    Q

Whoa! Wait a minute! I thought we couldn't trust Dominion?
  2. I'm sure they would do a much better job of it then the current crew of misfits.
  3. I heard on the news that they are doing background checks on soldiers that will be on duty at the inauguration. There are also a number of police that were at the capitol on the 6th that are now under investigation. I hope this is not a sign of insurrectionists in the military and law enforcement.
  4. Ture. That's why I deleted my FB account. The other day, I heard a guy sum it up well: "Having imposter's syndrome just means you care about your work. It's a good thing."
  5. Damn! You beat me to it! Here you go! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eYlJH81dSiw

    Q

It's posts like these that make me think Ron is just a troll. "Q analyzers." That's hilarious.
  8. The clown pictured with his feet on Nancy Pelosi's desk is from a neighboring town in Arkansas. I'm pleased to announce that he is now in FBI custody.
  9. Don't talk to my future neighbor like that! LOL
  10. I wish it was just the poorly educated. I know some highly educated professionals that have fallen deep into the Trump pit in the last few months.
  11. A little early to hope for that. Soon, maybe, but not today.
  12. Thanks. For some reason I did not see the "Show More".
  13. Does anyone know how the woman with the open leg strap ended up?

    Q

    We should be so lucky!!
  15. I needed some of the features the AirPod Pro offers for mild hearing loss.
  16. Sounds like he's installing a "Deep State." LOL
  17. That's why I wanted to try the AirPods first. I spend a lot of time listening to music and podcasts, so I want the priority to be on sound quality. There's another over the counter hearing aid from an Australian company called Nuheara. They supposedly have great sound quality for music.

    Q

What is the current state of the Q-Anon phenomenon? Is it winding down? Anyone here following it?
  19. Thanks. I may end up doing that. My hearing loss has tested to be "slight," so I am going to try going this route for a while. They do compensate for my own specific frequency loss, so they do the same thing, but probably with less precision than real hearing aids. One thing is sure. They do help. They just hurt the outer part of my ear.
  20. I got a pair to use for music and podcasts as well as use them for hearing aids. With IOS 14 they added some features that allow you to incorporate the results of a self administered hearing test to modify the sound to accommodate your personal hearing loss profile. It works great, but they are killing the outer part of my ear. Has anyone else had this experience? Did you ever get used to it?
  21. This is the part that really has me wondering what we are witnessing. Presumably, this guy was a highly competent person at one time. However, he is not a phenomenon. There have been plenty of other competent, respectable people in public roles that have gone down the same path. Some go down that path out of sincere conviction and others go down it out of cynical opportunism. How many people do we know in our personal lives that we considered to be intelligent enough just a few years ago that now seem to be completely lost to this cause? The human mind is a lot more fragile than I thought it was. What we have, intellectually, one year may become derailed the next year by any number of causes. We are particularly susceptible to influence from other people when those people legitimize our fears and complaints. It's satisfying, to me, to a point out and attack the madness of the other side, but I doesn't get me anywhere. I think the challenge of the future is going to be learn our societal weaknesses and try to construct an environment in which those weaknesses are not tested, or even worse, exploited. Buildings are built around the full understanding of human behavior when a building is on fire. Maybe we can start to recognize what causes the current kind of division and safeguard against it the same way you would design a building. There are plenty of examples in history that we can revisit. Now we have one more example to add to it.
  22. ...or give it the "Battle Worn" look that is popular in the aftermarket for firearms.
  23. Interesting theory, Bill, and I'm sure it applies to many. However, we are now in a situation where almost a full 1/3 of the American population think that we just had our first illegitimate president appointed by the powers that be and not elected. I don't think it's likely that so many people share the same fetish. So, how did we get here? I think Sam Harris summed it up well in these podcasts: https://samharris.org/podcasts/the-most-powerful-clown/ https://samharris.org/podcasts/224-key-trumps-appeal/ https://samharris.org/podcasts/225-republic-lies/
