  1. True, true. Technically, they're a different species than grouper, but it's a scientific difference. I don't think we're supposed to call them jewfish anymore in deference of political correctness. However, people choose what they are offended by, so I say they've been called jewfish for years and jewfish they remain. Here's a couple pics of what I saw Monday. The jewfish wasn't in the mood for posing for pictures. In a world full of people, only some want to fly... isn't that crazy! --Seal

  5. Thanks for a positive thread after all the bad news. I'll share the highlights of my weekend, too: great jumps and FIRST hybrid (me hanging); then great scuba diving with friendly turtles and huge jewfish! Ah, life is grand. Live it! 9. local news story Sorry... didn't realize you had to register. Here's the cut-n-paste. TWIN FALLS - In just four days, one person has died - and three others have suffered injuries after jumping off the Perrine Bridge near Twin Falls. The latest incident happened in the noon hour Monday -- when a 34-year-old California woman jumped off the bridge, and her parachute failed to open. Witnesses say it appeared the chute got tangled in the woman's arm. Less than 15 minutes earlier, another man was injured, and paramedics transported him by ambulance to Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin falls. In the 10am hour Monday, another woman also was hurt - and was taken by air ambulance to MVMC. The extent of their injuries is not known. On Friday, 29-year-old Jason Cooper was critically injured when his chute failed to open -- he is at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise in critical condition. A BASE jumping event is being held on the bridge over the Snake River this weekend -- possibly contributing to the high number of incidents. The deceased woman is 34-years-old, and lives in Alameda, CA -- her name has not been released. Video Clip Witnesses react to the failed jump This is the third recorded fatality on the Perrine Bridge - the others occurred in 2002 and 2003. The drop from the top of the bridge span to the Snake River floor is about 476 feet. In a world full of people, only some want to fly... isn't that crazy! --Seal

  12. I think that's part of the reason they put it in deep water. Can't you just see some idiot diver entering the ship and getting lost?! But just imagine the size of the fish that thing can shelter... wow! In a world full of people, only some want to fly... isn't that crazy! --Seal
  13. It's not a lack of integrity. It might be a lack of maturity. It's certainly a lack of respect. Showing one's disrespect is often appropriate, although the method in which it's done is a personal choice rooted in personal values. What's good for you isn't necessarily good for someone else. Burning bridges (besides thinning the witch population) is a way to show one's disrespect when they otherwise might not have been able to. 14. I don't remember the steps I took to solve it. I fill in the certainties first, then make small indications in each square of what's possible. From there, I study the puzzle as a whole and consider what can and can't be based on the relationship to the other squares. For this puzzle, you're supposed to have the X formed in the center. That means that the entire puzzle's solution revolves around the X. So I concentrated on solving the X first. Then the rest fell into place. I've always been suspicious that there are multiple solutions to a Sudoku, but I don't understand the algebraeic equations behind the puzzle, so I can't prove it.
