that's the part I didn't like. The series didn't start off that way..... this isn't a friggin Tarantino movie.... just tell me the story and stop trying to plug your other (lesser) books. I'm of the firm belief that King realyl started producing crap after the release of the Bachman books. I DO like how he forces himself to write the occasional short story. "It is not the tale, it is he who tells it" - anyone name what sotry that's from?

wtf is wrong with you people that no one has mention the best King novel. The Eyes of the Dragon come on... it's a kid's bedtime story gone HORRIBLY wrong. re: The Dark Tower.... I really liked the series up UNTIL the point(s) where 1) he wrote himself into the friggin storyline 2) the black woman gets knocked up 3) he tried bringing all his other storylines into the Dark Tower series. I remember back in high school reading the first line of the Gunslinger "The man in black fled across the desert and the gunslinger followed" and I thought.... this is going to be awesome. who is the man in black and why is the gunslinger chasing him? Books in the series that rock: The Gunslinger Drawing of Three Wizard and Glass Wolves of the Calla unfortunately you have to sift through the other crap and several chapters of King's own introspection before finding out what happens when Roland reaches the Tower....

9. skydivers who open the door right when the red light goes on, thus freezing the entire load for a good 2-4 minutes.....HOW U DO IT: look through the door, when we get close to the spot, THEN open it just when the green light goes on, climb your ass out....... it's called SITUATIONAL AWARENESS people!!! i guess checking for traffic is overrated. tell you what, just fly the plane, OK. If you're too good to hang out with skydivers, stop hanging out at the airport every weekend.

I'm trying to learn from other people's mistakes and this clip has brought a lot of questions to mind (http://www.triaxproductions.com/BD04_spot_03.wmv) 1)Is the guy using a collapsible pilot chute or is he holding it incorrectly? 2)Does he chuck the PC too soon or was it a wuss toss? 3)Is the bridle too short? PC too small? (i guess a better question would be Is this guy using sucky gear?)

I'm glad you all (well, most of you) caught the point, they could happen again...right? conditions are pretty much the same from day to day why aren't people rioting now (in the U.S.)? does it take a single incident to touch something off?

The groups rioting in France are typically citizens who are not accepted by the national majority (alientated because they are immigrants or children of immigrants), unemployed, and young. The fact that their muslim is beside the point. Do we have a group(s) of people in the USA that is disaffected, largely unemployed and marginalized by the general population? If the answer is yes, than french riots could happen here.

I didn't have a huge problem with the wife.. I'm interested in conserving water and reducing the chemicals in my home..... but that guy got on my nerves. It seemed to me his whole world revolved around not working and being "against the system".

I'm sure there was some hamming it up on both sides because the cameras were rolling. i really felt sorry for the hippie step son with purple hair. he has to live in the roach infested house with non-employed parents who think begging for food is appropriate. he's seen it his whole life and thinks it is normal The part that cracked me up the most was when the hippie stepdad went to work for a day (at a circuit city or best buy) and commented something like "this job isn't too bad, the people are cool. It's not very fulfilling though, I don't think I can relate to all the movies on the shelves"

This is regarding guns. Don't show them off at the DZ when you're drunk/stoned. This has been a public safety reminder. (i know two people that were shot doing this. not at the same time though)

reviews mentioned this wasn't a "shoot 'em up" kind of movie. although my time in the military involved no combat duty, i found a LOT in common with the story told in jar head.... 1)the hurry up and wait (and wait and wait) 2)stupid shit that might have a point, but it's overdone so the point is completely missed. 3)there is nothing glorious about war, combat or killing people if you are interested in seeing a documentary about some soldiers spending time in Iraq, rent Gunner Palace. If you liked Jarhead, you'll like Gunner Palace.

the overall tone does not sound pissy. however, to make your point more effectively, you might start off with your statement regarding the increase, THEN list the repairs / reasons. It comes off stronger and more organized. If you wait until the end, the landlord may not even read that far. (You may want to check your lease regarding lawn maintenance and snow removal.... you may have no bargaining room there.) example: ypu may also want to toss in a statement or two regarding your williness to resign the lease.
