i like to think of it as an invitation to a party you really don't want to go to. You expect the invitation to come, and when it doesn't you're disappointed even though you didn't want to go anyway.

It's hard to say what I would do in that situation.... Would I loot (steal) food, botteled water, diapers.... maybe. Would I loot(steal) electronics or luxury items, no fricken way. It's easy for those of us not in the situation to sit back and judge.

I've been recommeded that book a few times - let us know if it's a good read. It's not super-heavy reading, but you definitely have to pay attention. There is one boring (i thought) chapter in the development of writing that I glossed over, but the rest is a really great read.

I'm currently reading Guns, Germs, and Steel by Jared Diamond. It's a look at why Europeans rose to colonize and dominate all the other continents. This isn't some KKK treatise, the author goes out of his way to establish that in the intro or 1st chapter.
