Is "Pedophiles" the Outrage of Last Resort?
Phil1111 replied to NewGuy2005's topic in Speakers Corner
Qanon has found a new home on Truth Social and trump is now its leading advocate. "Mr. Trump also shared messages at least a dozen times from an account that posted about the “storm” and “a war against sex traffickers and pedophiles” to its more than 36,000 followers, NewsGuard found. Ricky Shiffer, a man killed by the police this month after he tried to breach the F.B.I.’s Cincinnati office, had also engaged with the same account. Of the QAnon accounts identified on Truth Social by NewsGuard, 47 have red verification badges, which the platform says it reserves for “VIPs” with “an account of public interest.” Well at least we know where Ron has gone. -
May’s Global Temperature coldest in 9 years

Figure 3. Monthly June ice extent for 1979 to 2022 shows a decline of 3.9 percent per decade. "Based on the linear trend, since 1979, June has lost 1.97 million square kilometers (761,000 square miles) of sea ice. This is equivalent to about three times the size of Texas...Most of the high-latitude Arctic Ocean was within a degree of the 1981 to 2010 average temperature. Temperatures in Scandinavia, Svalbard, and northern European Russia were generally 2 to 3 degrees Celsius (4 to 5 degrees Fahrenheit) above average (Figure 2b). The Hudson Bay region is also warm with temperatures 4 to 5 degrees Celsius (7 to 9 degrees Fahrenheit) above average.." "As of August 16, Antarctic sea ice extent was tracking below all previous years.. air temperatures at the 925 millibar level have been as much as 7 degrees Celsius (13 degrees Fahrenheit) above average the first two weeks of August,." Brent you're posting the same false junk science stuff from the same junk science sites you've posted before. -

I have to give Putin credit. When you want to line your own pockets don't hold back. Its no wonder that trump admires him.Recently he has sent T-64 tanks into battle. Introduced into service 1966

Germany says coal is more important than people
Phil1111 replied to brenthutch's topic in Speakers Corner
OK but in all fairness. trump has for decades made statements that are accepted instantly by his tribe as truth. They usually begin with "I heard that", "People are saying", "Someone told me". In other forums where the right tribe is the majority. Statements like "I heard that Nazis and fascists who love our country". Well you know the rest. Or Nazis and fascists deserve our respect, even love because they are Americans as well. I read that recently somewhere. -
Pravda, Truth Social, FOX and RT. No wonder the meaning, interpretation of the constitution is so clear and warped.

You're right. Its central to the conservative tribal identity. That conservative alt right has self taught, self corrupted the constitution for several decades now. They solely interpret it to fit their personal views In a self fulfilling prophecy they mix white identities, religion-christian religion of course, guns and conservationism in equal amounts. They teach it to themselves in their universities, in their forums, their discourse.

Just imagine the discombobulation of the mind for the AR-15 a-totin republican. Who would have to join a militia to own a gun. That the state itself would then "well regulate" their conduct. The horror..the horror. Makes perfect sense. A .50 cal minigun in a armored vehicle. Better yet a manpad in case you feel that FOX has made the case to shoot down Air-force One. Its so obvious Wendy. You just don't know your constitution. Please now hang your head in shame.

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, the president of Hungary and a friend of trump. Has just received a new study from his political advisors. It found that educated women are dangerous to the state. If women are educated they will have less children. That they will interact less with the average knuckle-dragging male, sorry Brent. Therefor be less inclined to marry them. The study also "also warned that men who are more inclined to take risks and be entrepreneurial will not be able to fully develop their potential."...Orbán has promoted a "conservative revolution" since returning to power in 2010 and has pledged to encourage the birth rate while denigrating immigration and banning LGBTQ content for children. The report further states ""If education favours feminine traits [such as] emotional and social maturity [and] therefore causes an over-representation of women at university, [gender] equality will be significantly weakened." FOX and the GOP have been rocked by this report. Insiders reported that trump was so distraught when the report was read to him that he left a Big Mac unfinished.

A.. Thats why business tax breaks, subsidies for their self invested industries receive priority. Over public policy, education and long term social development policies. No conflict of interest here. 1. Good question they receive generous salaries and pension benefits. 2. Like old cows. They know every trough in the pasture. So see A above.

Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene had $183,504 in PPP(Payrol Protection Plan) loans forgiven. While she appeared on FOX critizing President Biden and democrats for giving aid to struggling students. Rep. Doug LaMalfa (R-Richvale) got $5.5 million in federal crop subsidies. He voted against the plan. Congressman Kevin Hern had over $1 million in PPP loans forgiven. He tweeted "To recap, in the last two weeks, the "Party of the People" has supercharged the IRS to go after working-class Americans, raised their taxes, and forced them to pay for other people's college degrees." Congressman Vern Buchanan had over $2.3 million in PPP loans forgiven. He tweeted "As a blue-collar kid who worked his way through college, I know firsthand the sacrifices people make to receive an education. Biden’s reckless, unilateral student loan giveaway is unfair to the 87 percent of Americans without student loan debt and those who played by the rules." Congressman Markwayne Mullin had over $1.4 million in PPP loans forgiven. He tweeted "We do not need farmers and ranchers, small business owners, and teachers in Oklahoma paying the debts of Ivy League lawyers and doctors across the U.S. This places undue burden on those already suffering due to the weight of Biden’s failed economic policy." I could go on through the GOP senate and the GOP House. But its more of the same.

We all wait with anticipation if Joe won the auction for the Russian superyacht. One of the first Russian yachts to be seized arising from sanctions on Russia. "A £65m superyacht owned by a sanctioned Russian oligarch has attracted 63 bids at auction in Gibraltar in the first sale of an oligarch’s assets since Putin invaded Ukraine in February. The 72.5-metre Axioma, was seized from steel billionaire Dmitry Pumpyansky in March following sanctions by the UK, EU and the US."

Yes for the year of the loss.
-
Well actually "a big bank and a hedge fund granted years of extra time to pay back his debts" Wrote off the debts and used those losses as deductions. So the bank and hedge fund passed those losses onto shareholders. But to your point. trump in one single bankruptcy proceeding for his two casinos. He had several bankruptcies for the same two buildings. The state of NJ and Atlantic City lost $27 million in taxes. Trump Casinos’ Tax Debt Was $30 Million. Then Christie Took Office. In that same bankruptcy his employees lost tens of millions in pensions that trump spent on operations. In total the city and state had estimated losses of $75 million. a total of $1.2 billion vanished over the two decades that trump mismanaged operations.

Why are you encouraging BOTH of them?

Germany says coal is more important than people
Phil1111 replied to brenthutch's topic in Speakers Corner
Germany wanted to phase out nuclear and coal because of pollution and the dangers of nuclear energy. The dangers of the reactors and the long term storage of nuclear waste. The greenhouse emissions of coal. Germany sought out Russian nat-gas because it was readily available, close to the German market. But mainly because they felt that commercial relationships with Russia and Putin. Would bring it closer to the west. Closer to Europe. Assist in Russian economic freedoms. Just this week the UK ended Russian coal imports. Its banned Russian oil and coal by the end of this year. The EU is now two weeks into its ban on Russian coal. There is one reason for the end of Russian coal imports to the EU. The end to Russian oil and gas exports over the next year. Putin's war. Germany may use more coal over the next couple years as it ends completely Russian gas imports. But like America Germany views coal as toxic and a dead end for energy production. Renewables provide 49% of power used in Germany in first half of 2022 Germany Approves $180 Billion Funding to Accelerate Energy Shift Germany increased solar power production by 10% last year alone. Like the old fossils that make up coal. Eventually the dreams of coal ever making a comeback for real will die. For Germany and the EU in general But also for America and the world. I know its hard for Brent to admit to being wrong. I know he loves his coal stocks His options on old money losing coal stocks. But even your friend Putin can't save them. -

It must have been very difficult to earn an MBA when logic, international relations, science, politics are all so very confusing. I applaud your ability to memorize, compartmentalize, etc. So you could regurgitate the answers that your professors wanted. Rather that what you feel. -
Read the Justice Department’s Memo to Attorney General William P. Barr "The memo supports the chilling conclusion that any president can interfere with any investigation if they believe it could damage them politically. It is clear why Barr did not want the public to see it," CREW said in a statement Wednesday." "It significantly twists the facts and the law to benefit Donald Trump and does not comport with a serious reading of the law of obstruction of justice or the facts as found by Special Counsel Mueller." "Among many other problems, it is premised on the fact that there was no underlying criminal conduct, which is not what Mueller found, and waves its hand at there being no exact precedent to compare it to." "a federal judge sharply rebuked Barr's handling of Mueller's report, saying Barr had made "misleading public statements" to spin the investigation's findings in favor of Trump and had shown a "lack of candor." So a political appointee of trump concealed the substance of an investigation to conceal obstruction of justice. Now the theft and removal of classified documents is before the courts. Nothing really unusual here. Just trump being trump. Soon his apologists will be all in the coverup, the distractions and counter accusations.

Yet conservatives love all his policies. Yet trumpers love all his policies. Yet his voters feign amnesia when they have to answer if they support him. Or just deny it. Its like republicans who laugh at the bigoted, racist jokes of trump, GOP politicians and FOX hosts. Yet claim that they are compassionate caring egalitarians in real life. -
I agree education doesn't mean intelligent. The GI bill is a part of the job retraining contract of employment. Infantry, sailors, tankers, etc. Get retrained because the skills of the armed forces. Don't adequately prepare them for post service employment. Keep in mind that student loans also cover education in technical schools. Like trade schools.
-
I'm against most all subsidies.Keep in mind in this case the average student debt is $28,950. Unless they target the most important national objectives. More money should be spent on community colleges. They are a tremendous value to a nations economy.

Winsor should really be a speechwriter or author for the far right. Long winded speeches would have to be edited of course. The examples he uses like motorcycle gangs changed to believable examples.Say Vietnamese restaurant owners and Filipino nail salons. Just imagine the 1,000 page theorasus defining every woke example in America. he could spit that out in a couple days.
