As compared to how Trump and his bag-licking minions treated Zelensky in the oval office. For all the discussions of what important issues should be addressed no mention of the 20,000 kidnapped Ukrainian children. Perhaps Trump is jealous that Putin is an indicted war criminal and he is only a convicted sex offender and fraudster.

Trump's much ballyhooed meeting with Putin went exactly like it was anticipated. Putin played Trump like an old stradivarius. Trump had all sorts of deadlines for a ceasefire prior to the meeting. None of which Putin did anything about. Trump made all sorts of statements that he cold tell if Putin was serious about peace within two minutes of meeting him. Now according to Putin its all about addressing the "underlying issues" that caused the war. ...Like all the Nazis running the Ukrainian government. At least thats what Russia laid the blame for when the war started. What happened to sanctions if Putin wasn't serious? Typical Trump all talk, B.S. and bluster until President Putin tells him what to think.
  4. So Wendy as a woman puts up with our crap pro-Bono?
  5. The Trump cabinet says much about how Trump thinks. Pete Hegseth, the secretary of defence, is a devoted evangelical. These are the sermons of his minister. "You’re not going to scare me away from the word Confederate like you just said “Boo!” I would define a neo-Confederate as someone who thinks we are still fighting that war. Instead, I would say we’re fighting in a long war, and that was one battle that we lost." "When the Confederate States of America surrendered at Appomattox, the last nation of the older order fell. So, because historians like to have set dates on which to hang their hats, we may say the first Christendom died there, in 1865. The American South was the last nation of the first Christendom." "he believes that Southern slavery was wrong, but that the Confederacy was otherwise “right on all the essential constitutional and cultural issues surrounding the war.” "He has referred to women he doesn’t like as “small-breasted biddies” and “lumberjack dykes.” He has said: “The sexual act cannot be made into an egalitarian pleasuring party. A man penetrates, conquers, colonizes, plants. A woman receives, surrenders, accepts.” To simply call him patriarchal is too mild. The body of churches he co-founded, the Communion of Reformed Evangelical Churches, includes pastors who believe that the 19th Amendment, which granted women the right to vote, should be repealed and replaced by something called “household voting,” where it’s no longer one person, one vote, but one household, one vote." “One of the reasons why we have such problems with assimilating Muslims and Hindus is that there are so many of them.”..." “So if we had a Christian republic, and a Muslim came to Disneyland with his family, we’d have no problems....You cannot put alien world views together, cheek by jowl, and have peace.” "Hegseth made that plain this month when he posted his support for Wilson after Wilson reiterated to CNN his support for Christian nationalism. The words Hegseth used — “all of Christ for all of life” — are a common saying in the Communion of Reformed Evangelical Churches." Its no wonder that despite all the serious security lapses that Hegseth has made he enjoys Trump's full support. No wonder that he will fulfill every request that Trump makes of the department of defence.

Trump has shown that the constitution is a paper tiger when it concerns rights. Congress shows little duty to the intent or word of the constitution. The USSC seems to ignore or interpret the constitution as it sees fit.

All good points and I referred to Keith as an officer because he seems to have the answers. Most cops and military know whats right, lawful and constitutional. But the "solid percentage" is all it takes be it 5, 10 or 20%. Trump's special Quick Reaction Force of 600 is a real concern. Because he could pack it with loyalists for unlawful purpose.

    Thats usually associated with officers.
  9. I disagree. There are some issues to which Americans are exceptional. 1. Trump is personally going to host the Kennedy Centre Honours "the former TV personality said he initially turned down the request to host. “I’m the president of the United States. Are you fools asking me to do that? ‘Sir, you’ll get much higher ratings.’ I said, I don’t care. I’m president of the United States. I won’t do it. They said, please,” Trump recounted. He added that a plea from White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles convinced him: “Okay, Susie, I’ll do it. That’s the power she’s got.” He told the audience, “I didn’t want to do it. They’re going to say he insisted. I did not insist, but I think it will be quite successful.” He then reminded attendees of his television experience: “It’s been a long time. I used to host The Apprentice finales, and we did rather well with that, so I think we’re going to do very well.” Trump hosted the NBC reality competition show from 2004 until 2015." 2. No president in world history has raked in more cash from becoming president or leader of any, ANY country! Not Kim of N. Korea, Not Putin, not Marcos of the Philippines, nobody. New Analysis Finds Trump Family Has Raked in $3.4 Billion Off the Presidency Thats only six months into his presidential run. Eight times(a full four year term) $3.4 is $27 billion which is truly exceptional. I therefor respectfully disagree America is exceptional.

"What's next; martial law in this country?" Only if its a "national emergency".
  11. Mao Zedong from 1966 to 1976.led China's cultural revolution. The title of this thread is the name of a book proclaiming "How the radical left conquered everything". Now Trump has made it his goal as president to attack education, attack universities, attack cultural institutions and even the greatest American universities. "The Trump administration is giving museums 120 days to replace “divisive or ideologically driven language with unifying, historically accurate and constructive descriptions.” " the White House says its review “aims to ensure alignment with the president’s directive to celebrate American exceptionalism, remove divisive or partisan narratives and restore confidence in our shared cultural institutions.” It adds that the “goal is not to interfere with the day-to-day operations of curators or staff, but rather to support a broader vision of excellence that highlights historically accurate, uplifting and inclusive portrayals of America’s heritage.” Evidently references to slavery, allied participation in world wars, etc are to be removed. In their place America will be shown to be the greatest country ever. American natives are to be labelled as savages who in the end should thank the US for freeing them from their miserable lives.

On Friday, the price of gold futures jumped to a record high after it was reported that the US would put tariffs on imports of 1kg bars. Monday: Price of gold eases after Trump rules out tariffs on imported bars Metal traders say crisis averted after US president clarifies on social media that gold bars are duty-free The price of gold has eased after Donald Trump announced tariffs would not be placed on gold bars. His social media statement on Monday put an end to uncertainty, which had caused panic in global trade of the precious metal. Sounds like the Trump crime family needed to make some quick cash in the commodities markets.

Here is a list of Trump's heroes who came to his defence. All these brave fighters for freedom received pardons from Trump. "In two cases, the insurrectionists committed the crimes after receiving their pardons. An additional pardoned rioter was killed during a traffic stop when he reportedly resisted arrest and was armed. Andrew Taake: According to the FBI, Taake assaulted Capitol Police officers with pepper spray and a metal whip. He was sentenced to over six years in prison for his role in the insurrection. After Trump’s pardon, he was rearrested on previous charges of soliciting a minor. Edward Kelley: Kelley was one of the first insurrectionists to breach the Capitol and was found guilty on several charges related to January 6th. He was convicted on charges of plotting to murder the FBI agents who investigated him in the January 6th case and is scheduled to be sentenced in July. Emily Hernandez: Hernandez pleaded guilty to entering and remaining in a building and restricted grounds. After Trump’s pardon, she was sentenced to 10 years in prison for causing a drunk driving accident in 2022 that killed one person and injured another. Daniel Ball: According to prosecutors, Ball attacked police officers with an explosive device during the insurrection. He was rearrested days after Trump’s pardon for illegal gun possession given his felony record of domestic violence and strangulation. David Daniel: According to prosecutors, Daniel was part of the attempt to break through a barricaded Senate door and pleaded guilty to resisting police officers. He remains in custody after Trump’s pardon on possession of child sexual abuse material charges brought in 2024. Shane Jason Woods: Woods pleaded guilty to assaulting police and a press photographer. After Trump’s pardon, Woods was convicted in April for multiple counts including reckless homicide and driving under the influence in 2022. Theodore Middendorf: Middendorf pleaded guilty to destruction of government property on January 6th. He was previously sentenced in 2024 to 19 years in prison for sexually assaulting a seven year old and remains in prison. Taylor Taranto: Taranto was convicted of several crimes related to January 6th including possession of an unregistered firearm. He was arrested in 2023 for illegal gun possession and making a threat to blow up the National Institute of Standards and Technology and was convicted this May. Brent John Holdridge: Holdridge pleaded guilty to parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol building on January 6th. He was arrested in May for stealing tens of thousands of dollars worth of industrial copper wire and faces charges of burglary, grand theft and possession of stolen property. Like WTF? You're the first to suggest there is an underlying purpose to the word salads used trying in vain to make a point. Brilliant
  15. Given the current disdain for democrats and the idiocy of republicans an independent could smoke everyone. Hopefully Elon doesn't pick up on that.
  16. Are you expecting anything less as Trump Suggests Vance is MAGA Movement’s Heir Apparent.. After all for republicans: The White House is defending a decision by the U.S. Secret Service to have the Army Corps of Engineers raise the water level of a river in Ohio so Vice President JD Vance could kayak with his family for his 41st birthday.

Anything for you Jerry. I'd suggest that the Indian population feels much different from this spring survey. But hey Nigeria loves trump. Meanwhile America is falling to a basket of countries generally hated by citizens in other counties. But hey there is a benefit in that for the US. Fewer tourists pestering you for directions.
  18. Every parent dreams that their children will be better off than themselves. You must be very proud! The top 5-10% of income earners who are homeowners are living the best life possible. You have the tremendous advantage of the leverage that home ownership provides. Long term asset appreciation in a asset class thats tax free. In accommodation for which you can make changes as you please. Life-...enjoy.
  19. I agree but everyone has to be conscious of how this narrative is weaponized. Republican Mike Flood suggested that medicaid recipients were receiving benefits and refused to work. Akin to saying that "illegal" immigrants are flooding across the border to start receiving rich US welfare benefits. Then refusing to get jobs because the objective isn't to grasp the American dream. But instead to get fat on the juicy benefits that "dems" hand out. That only republicans will stop such excess.

Vance has ambition to be the MAGA leader in waiting no doubt. The bootlickers who sat around Zelensky in the WH ready to take their turns proving how loyal they are proves that. I imagine his GOP potential successors are all in awe how Trump has managed to turn America into his personal piggy bank(see below). Nah, he'll bide his time and let Trump fire every gatekeeper for justice and integrity. After all with redistricting, with Trump's personal $200 million war chest, Trump is both an asset and very dangerous. A new disclosure shows how corporations and individuals, including many in the crypto business, wrote big checks while seeking favor from the president. I can easily see how someone with such flexible moral values as Vance. Can imagine himself making several billion off a presidency should he succeed Trump.

Not yet but the syndrome is taking hold, growing day by day. He believes that everyone will betray him eventually. His ex-wives did, "friends" did, bankers did, political allies did, etc. so he is eternally vigilant and ready to act.

It could have been worse. Obviously Bannon and the other insiders never suggested a US equivalent of Russia Today. Imagine The Greatest Country On Earth Today television, FOX on steroids so to speak.

No, banana republic is already established. After a Weak Jobs Report, Trump is Firing That Agency’s Commissioner The jobs report today showed a very poor job hiring. Two months were revised down about 200,000 jobs and last month was about 1/2 what it should be. The MAGA mouth stated "the commissioner of the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Erika McEntarfer,....“rigged” the data “to make the Republicans, and ME, look bad.” Accordingly next months job growth will show millions of new job hires in the greatest country that ever existed.
