  1. Your hearing aid practitioner should be able to fix that for you.Seems to be increasing month by month.
  2. Watch How Politics Slowed Red States’ Response to the Coronavirus The story will be written in the next year and republican states will not make America great.

    covid-19

The commander in chief had bone spurs in that war and in this war. Two wars and AWOL in both.
  4. What's sick is throwing vulnerable people under the bus in order to get trump reelected. In order to pour money into companies that can't budget for contingencies. Instead borrow and buy back stocks then rely upon republicans to bail them out. Slowed? Look at republican states and democratic states. Democratic led ones that have put measures into effect to control C-19 are dropping. Others are increasing. Japan and Singapore relaxed C-19 control measures prematurely and now are both facing second waves of infections.
  5. Agree. Now in the next couple months there will be a breakdown between the effectiveness of R v D states. Then another comparison between change in GDP between R v D states. Furthermore Coreece is the one who is intellectually dishonest. America is not so backward, so isolated by poor roads, poor medical services, etc. That C-19 would be geographically favorable to any of his listed countries.Or to America. There is a unique outlier in the C-19 equation, Sweden. I'm surprised that trump hasn't used Sweden as an example for the opening up of America. But I doubt he could could find it on a map. FOX and the Murdoch fake news empire has no local affiliates in Sweden. So it likely doesn't know about Sweden's C-19 policies. Anger in Sweden as elderly pay price for coronavirus strategy
  6. Agree poor Russia first oil prices then monopoly launches to the ISS. This after pouring $2.24 billion into the new Vostochny Cosmodrome. Then along comes that pesky Elon with his predatory pricing.
  7. It seems as if the US is destined for a long losing battle with coronavirus. One that will cost tens of thousands of unnecessary lives. trump, FOX, conservatives and republicans seem bent on setting science aside. Ether its to get trump re-elected or drive the economy. Its destined to cost lives, result in multiple waves of reinfections and in the end will cause serious damage to the US economy. Conservative activists encourage DOJ to sue governors, local leaders for coronavirus restrictions, calling them 'rampant abuses' Hundreds swarm Florida beaches following reopening amid pandemic South Carolina to reopen public beaches, retail stores next week amid pandemic "End Medical Tyranny Now,"Owen Shroyer hosted the rally. The commentator for far-right media source Infowars Video from the rally showed protesters standing shoulder to shoulder holding signs "End Medical Tyranny Now" MAGA disband Science, go trump!
  8. NASA announced on Friday that it has set May 27 as the target launch date for sending two astronauts to the International Space Station from Kennedy Space Center in Florida, aboard a rocket built by the company SpaceX. After a nine year absence from using US launch vehicles. Soyuz goodby. "NASA’s Office of Inspector General (OIG), the agency’s auditor, said in a report last Thursday that NASA will pay $90 million to fly with Boeing(per person $86 million for Soyuz) – and just $55 million to fly with SpaceX. Both NASA and Boeing pushed back on OIG’s report, with the company saying in a press release that it “rejects the average seat price assessment.” Meanwhile "The head of Russia's space agency on Saturday accused Elon Musk's SpaceX of predatory pricing for space launches, which is pushing Russia to cut its own prices. Since SpaceX is dumping astronaut capacity on the market perhaps Russia could buy up the "tourist" spots to the space station in 2021 Book your flight here.
  9. Its reasonable to say that the US has committed acts of war against Iran three times in the last 66 years. The 1953 CIA coup and the cancellation without cause of the nuclear deal. Together with the impositions of a oil embargo/trade-finance embargo by trump arising from that act. Then the killing of Soleimani, Which was based upon barefaced lies. The US just blocked an Iranian request for $5 billion loan from the IMF to fight C-19. I think Mark has been ingesting too much of the Pompeo/trump kool-aid.
  10. I must be perverted because my first thought was that this should be in the thread "Those little things that make you happy". But its an imperfect world. In any event it give one pause to think perhaps there is a god.
  11. The long and distinguished list of witness will mesh nicely with NY juries. Fresh from the C-19 nightmare and appropriately predisposed to judge the trump clan of racketeers. Stay tuned for January 2021. Do you think this is why trump is getting so desperate and frantic. Stirring up the base because of the end of presidential immunity?
  12. That will give you more opportunity to defend him, republicans and the positions they are putting forth. Every week trump changes his positions. So pick one( a position) and head on over to FOX to ascertain the origins. Then go to town. For example a new poll came out on Wednesday. Showing trump dropping by 6 points in the last four weeks. So its back to his base .Fox News' Brit Hume: "Entirely reasonable" for elderly to risk getting coronavirus to save economy Older people would rather die than let Covid-19 harm US economy – Texas official Glenn Beck Would ‘Rather Die’ Than See a Coronavirus Economic Shutdown Now you can use science, math and argue along with trump. Who you just admitted that you never voted for. That a few dead seniors will save the economy, allow trump to make another SC appointment. The money saved in medicare could build the wall! Go for it. Don't let SC turn into a den of presidential criticism. While the rest of us are drinking and sleeping off hangovers You can be crafting beautiful responses.
  13. Well clearly you haven't been into the bourbon enough. I find he amuses me, although I'm pissed to find out that standards are involved .
  14. Meanwhile trump's friend and Jared's best buddy has attacked US oil. Oh well, if you pardon the pun. Has decided to destroy US domestic production capacity. Together with the bankers that lent to that industry.Donald Trump congratulates Vladimir Putin and Mohammad Bin Salman for reaching a deal to stop oil war,
  15. Intelligence chiefs undercut Trump on Iran nuclear deal Trump’s Weak Case Against Iran "If Iran did attack two tankers in the Gulf of Oman this week, as President Donald Trump claims, he’s doing a lousy job of making that case to the rest of the world. The sad fact is he has to make a case because, in his 2½ years in office, he has told so many lies and alienated so many allies. If he decided to respond to the attacks with new economic pressure or military action, he would need the support of those allies, and to earn that support, he would need to present extraordinarily persuasive evidence of Iran’s culpability." I've quoted a couple polls that rank trump as less credible than both Xi and Putin. So no point in quoting them again. Subsequent to the US withdrawal from the nuclear agreement the EU and several other NATO allies continued to trade and support Iran. trump has burnt so many bridges in the Middle East that he really has only Israel left. Lies, backstabbing and double dealing allies has consequence.
  16. Well trump, Ali Khamenei and C-19 only someone indifferent to suffering would not take pity on the Iranian people. Oh trump!
  17. So its been a while since republicans voted to stop an investigation into campaign finance law violations. While "The NRA “provided the Russian nationals direct access to the Republican Party leaders at events including its Annual Winter Board Meetings and NRA Annual Meetings, and facilitated additional access to conservative organizations like the Council for National Policy, National Prayer Breakfast,” and other events, according to the report. " WH point man for deflection of corruption said: "William Barr: China is a bigger threat to the 2020 election than Russia" The NRA has had some financial corruption issues of its own lately Then the C-19 crisis has brought new troubles to the NRA..Leaked memo: NRA tells employees to seek government aid as coronavirus forces cuts, layoffs So the NRA uses Russian money to get trump elected in violation of campaign fiance laws. The republican party votes to cover up the criminal actions. Then suggests that taxpayers bail out their employees. When the NRA piggy bank is empty because insiders have lined their pockets using money from a tax deductible organization. Lock the whole works up anyone? By default the whole works would then have to give up their guns!
  18. Yes, yes and yes. IMO trump will be the first president to never have a USN ship named after him. Not even a tender.
  19. I feel sorry for students who went to journalism school as you're somewhat right.News corporations have target markets. State media has the state view. I subscribe to the local paper and online NYT. IMO the NYT and WP are absolutely outstanding. It goes rapidly downhill from there. Facebook IMO has destroyed journalism but equal responsibility lies in the failure of schools to teach critical thinking. With the internet you can go to a site like this Then with little effort travel the world and get local views on any issue. Not necessarily the truth but a local view. Twenty years ago no newsstand would carry every newspaper. Let alone let you read them for free. Parents obviously bear the most responsibility. The foundations of a BS detector, character and judgement. Are the most valuable skills parents can teach their children.
  20. I was going to fix your post by changing the "Not allowed" to not practiced. But upon reflection you nailed it. The lack of critical thinking is typical of some Asian societies, communist societies and religious groups. Authoritarian leadership is generally the cause.
  21. I agree Liberty reminds me of the ads for online universities that advertise a PhD in any subject, six months study, only $999. Or twelve monthly payments, interest free, $199 a month.
  22. Well i skipped through most of that enormously painful video. Ignoring most of the comments on lawyers, which I despise as much as trump. California governor says ventilators promised by Elon Musk never made it to hospitals Separate coverage on the same story from The Hill It appears as if the original story originated from The Sacramento Bee so I'll quote directly from their latest amendment on the story: Two days after The Bee Editorial Board reported on Musk’s ventilator fiasco – and one day after the Associated Press also reported it – Musk protested on Twitter and demanded a positive response from the governor. But if Musk really wanted to clear the air, why didn’t his press office respond to questions from The Bee or the AP? The best time to clear up a “misunderstanding” is before it gets published, but Musk’s office made zero effort. Musk’s office also did not respond to reporters from the venerable Financial Times newspaper in London. On April 2, the FT reported that Musk had apparently purchased and shipped the wrong type of medical device to hospitals in New York. Musk, the FT said, had actually purchased Bilevel Positive Airway Pressure (BPAP) machines, which he plastered with Tesla stickers and shipped to New York. The paper identified the devices as a discontinued BPAP model known as the ResMed S9 Elite. Even worse, according to the FT: “The American Society of Anesthesiologists on Feb. 23 issued guidance warning that CPAP and BPAP machines ‘may increase the risk of infectious transmission.’” A real ventilator can cost up to $50,000, according to the FT. The machines Musk supplied cost around $800. On April 7, the FT wrote that Musk now appears to have delivered at least one “invasive” ventilator to New York... During his daily press conference on Thursday, Newsom was asked about Musk’s tweet demanding clarity. The governor performed a cowardly dodge, refusing to say whether the state had received “ventilators.” Instead, he thanked Musk for providing “resources” – after days of telling reporters the state had not received any. So, were they real ventilators or BPAP machines? Neither Tesla nor Gov. Newsom’s office responded to requests for clarification." I like Elon, Tesla and love SpaceX. He is a genius. But this story is like the Elon Musk and the Thai cave rescue: a tale of good intentions and bad tweets I never expect a accurate representation about anything from a You-Tube video. You need to remember that the AP gets its stories from full time journalists like CNN, The Sacramento Bee, Washington Post and freelancers.
  23. Evidently Jerry Falwell Jr.’s university is facing a legal action for endangering and profiteering off the lives of his students. He has tried to have journalists arrested and lied about infections at Liberty University faculty, students. He ran full page newspaper ads that were false and blamed the national media for his problems
  24. John and Joe seem to know the most about this issue so here is a free pdf book entitled The Conservative Nanny State: How the Wealthy Use the Government to Stay Rich and Get Richer if they have the time and want to dive into the corners of corporate welfare. For trump supporters that seem to lack the drive to understand economics. Here is a overview of how corporate welfare is peddled by current republicans. Its simply worded just for them.Corporate Welfare Lives On and On For those who like to skim: "with the ascendancy of rightwing political parties since the late 1970s and early 1980s. It was argued, as it is today, that if societies accept the standard fare of neoclassical economics – deregulation, flexible labour markets, reducing government intervention, greater competition – then entire populations would be better off. But regardless of what one may think about conventional economic theory, the actual policies put in place by the right are often diametrically opposed to the rhetoric." For trump supporters still peddling "trickle down", the FOX line on "socialism" and other such B.S. A little article on the divergence of wealth caused by republicans over the last 30 years. That in part led to trump.
  25. Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner and Every Trump Administration Official Accused of Using Personal Email for Work Every trump clansman knows the rules don't apply to the royal family.
