Next to trump Moe, Larry and Curly. Are all rocket surgeons.

I was going to respond but you appear to have the bases covered. airdvr has bought the trump/FOX talking points hook, line and sinker. That Mitch McConnell, trump and republicans are going to look after the little guy. That they are not insiders. Its most likely that the ideas of free market economics combined with science is an anathema to him. As it is for trump. That climate change ... Well Wikipedia has it covered: The Niskanen Center has sought to differentiate itself from other think tanks on the political right by espousing a position of strategic compromise, including on issue areas that break from doctrinaire noninterventionist and free-market positions. In addition to taking an aggressive stance in favor of climate change action and carbon taxes, the center generally supports the maintenance of a more robust welfare state safety net in exchange for other market reforms. Vice President for Policy Will Wilkinson advocates a social democracy-style system that incorporates the position of liberal political philosopher John Rawls. This ideal mirrors European states such as Denmark that pair free trade liberalism and labor market reform with heavy unemployment benefits and a public healthcare system.[43]

“Donald Trump is the most anti-science and anti-environment president we’ve ever had,” said Douglas Brinkley, a presidential historian at Rice University. The president’s actions, he said, have eroded one of the United States’s most enviable assets: the government’s deep scientific expertise, built over decades. “It’s extraordinarily crazy and reckless,” he said.... “Scientists tell them inconvenient things,” said Jerry Taylor, president of the Niskanen Center, a centrist research organization, and former climate change denialist who now advocates for the acceptance of climate science. “Whether we’re talking about the E.P.A. or we’re talking about climate change broadly speaking, or we’re talking about the coronavirus, his administration is constantly engaged in magical thinking.” Politics outweigh science and fact. Same old story.

Agree completely. It exposes a fatal flaw in the US constitution and/or law.
-
Well I agree substantially. The hyper-partizan nature of media and politics exposes every wart. Other countries are worse. None of which are G-7. But incessant flag-waving, boasting and self aggrandizations by trump and others. Has resulted in ridicule and even pity by the rest of the world. Absent trump the warts will begin to fade. But a lack of protections, health care, environmental considerations and income inequality. Will present jet-stream headwinds for a US ascent to its rightful place.

Media Silence On Biden Assault Allegations is Deafening
Phil1111 replied to a topic in Speakers Corner
The graph of media bias has been posted here before. Several times. If anyone chooses they can find sources for news KNOWN to be unbiased. Middle America can find the truth with very little work. So you're disingenuous to suggest news cycles, dominant stories and lack of coverage. Has hidden this story. -
Media Silence On Biden Assault Allegations is Deafening

trump. All the lies, all the sexual assaults including admissions of sexual assaults. Admissions and ongoing statements that resulted in a book no less. "The book, All the President's Women: Donald Trump and the Making of a Predator, draws on over 100 interviews — many exclusive — and adds to a list of nearly two dozen women who had previously accused him of sexual assault or misconduct." While I appreciate the more detailed argument that markharju has brought to this forum. IMO this one has no legs as the bar has been established, by trump. -
On point, the developed world looks upon the US under the trump regime. In trepidation as if a friend had become a alcoholic. His life spiraling out of control, going down with no bottom in sight. "They provide a recurring horror show in which all the neuroses that haunt the American subconscious dance naked on live TV." You want to turn it off. Slap it into consciousness. Instead every day a new horror of a friend in despair shows its ugly reality.

trump outdoing himself is a...oxymoron. Poll: Voters trust Fauci, Biden, Sanders, Cuomo, Pence more than Trump on coronavirus Yet, "Forty-four percent of voters say the trust President Trump when it comes to coronavirus information' I'm still waiting for that forty-four percent to do the Clorox-injection and post it on you-tube.

Media Silence On Biden Assault Allegations is Deafening

Your first quote is from "Jamie White | Infowars.com" Needless to say thats as far as I went. Your second quote is from CNN the "Fake News" for which "Now, with more credible evidence emerging every day about malfeasance by a presidential candidate, it's nothing but crickets from the major news outlets." Was the quote from the thread author. Aside from the widely varied versions of the so called assault by the "victim". CNN seems to be the only cricket singing. -
I read some reporting about his latest tweet-rants. But yikes! IMO being stuck in the WH is beginning to show and exacerbate his mental issues. I hope he keeps up his daily press briefings. The more he talks the bigger the bombs he drops.

You're a very silly boy. Did you think seriousness would last? In the age of social benumbnent?

I confess that sometimes I skim your posts. Sorry

COVID-19: Astroturfing the "reopen" demonstrations
Phil1111 replied to ryoder's topic in Speakers Corner
I'll help. As trump suggests ingesting Lysol. Its most likely that his base will follow that suggestion. Thats good for America and democracy. It helps kill the virus and supports US business.Sounds like winning. -
Thats the one. He also owes debt included $211 million from the state-owned Bank of China — its first loan of this kind in the U.S. — which matures in the middle of what could be Trump’s second term.
-
Never underestimate stupidity. Prescriptions for two antimalarial drugs jumped by 46 times the average when the president praised them on TV as a coronavirus treatment. A very good story about how a single diner in a Chinese restaurant spread it to nine others up to 15' away. So you want to go for a haircut, to a gym, or restaurant?

Jimmy Carter is probably the best example about Christians living a life of integrity. If he lied while president it was probably in the national interest. Iran was not his fault. FOX has obviously done a good job on you re Biden. While he's not the best of the democratic candidates. At least he has a history of surrounding himself with good advisors. He knows when to keep his mouth shut.

I muffed the title to this thread. i doubt trump has ever shipped anything in his life. IMO USPS is the cheapest US service but has the worst tracking. Of course he is talking out his ass and Bezos is the target. Judge temporarily blocks Microsoft Pentagon cloud contract after Amazon suit I hope Bezos wins some damages from above. As trump for certain stuck his orange stupid mug into the equation.
-
I missed the couple seconds where trump has shown any sorrow for any American fatality. Please post that example. ........I'm just yanking your chain, There is no such record. A S.Korea expert suggested that it has to be a Kim relative and that the military has to support it. So there is a uncle, then his sister in line. The winner will kill the other to show the military sufficient homicidal leadership. Naturally a purge will follow. China will likely watch and wait.

COVID-19: Astroturfing the "reopen" demonstrations

Bingo. Ron is also an unabashed always trumper. But at least convoluted denials are not part of the trump defense. His whole non-linear thinking b.s. excepted. -
COVID-19: Astroturfing the "reopen" demonstrations
Phil1111 replied to ryoder's topic in Speakers Corner
He has done that several times before. When stonewalling, intimidation and buffoonery doesn't work. He lies. Of course lying is the normal default. So its not like these courses of behavior can be ranked. He denied knowing Rick Bright the 'Ousted' US vaccine expert Rick Bright to file whistleblower complaint Of course he knows him. This is what happens when a narcissist survives impeachment. -
Because they are only slightly smarter than trump. Soon the usual characters will deny voting or supporting trump. A year from now they will deny knowing who trump is. A year from now there will be only the record of eight trillion($3T to 2020, $4T so far in 2020 plus another $1T for rest of the year) in additional debt from his presidency. Unsaid are the lives his stupidity cost.

For all the talk of blocking Turtle. Keep in mind trump still has about 40% support and many of his supporters watch and hear the same subjects discussed here. His supporters know he was a crook and stupid before they voted for him. Day after day trump goes up to the podium and says stuff so stupid as to defy imagination. Yet his party refuses to restrain him. His staff refuses to tell him to shut the F**k up. Surely there are lurkers that are trump supporters that read and watch the news regarding all this. Yet like Turtle they all still support idiocy and trump. Which is worse those that say stupid S*#t or those that stand by and do or say nothing? Like his party, Mitch McConnell etc. Oh and speaking of idiots: McConnell signals interest in protecting employers from coronavirus litigation Fifty thousand dead, whats the price on some more.
