For his base, trump's refusal to testify under oath all together isn't arrogant. Refusing to directly answer Mueller's questions wasn't arrogant. trump's naming of all his family and co-conspirators conversations as privileged wasn't arrogant. It wasn't just being a part of the ruling class. Take your pick and fill in the ________. Because trump, his base and FOX have a ever changing B.S. reason.

I wouldn't have thought Florida was that corrupt. It makes it sound like Mississippi or Louisiana.

True and it seems as if nobody is interested in following the guidelines that trump personally set out. Which states a downward trend in cases for 14 days. Currently the US has deaths doubling every three weeks and cases increasing. Vermont has a relatively flat rate, its the lowest and deaths are doubling every seven weeks. Here is a excerpt from a article on leadership. Something trump knows nothing about. Written by "Leonard J. Marcus is founding co-director of the National Preparedness Leadership Initiative, a joint program of the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, Center for Public Leadership" 'The best guide is former Johnson & Johnson CEO James Burke's response to the Tylenol poisonings in 1982. When three people died in the Chicago area after taking Tylenol, Burke shaped the company's future with a nationwide recall of the product. He went big and moved fast with the company's response, putting consumer confidence above short-term sales. Burke's efforts became an enduring exemplar of crisis response by a CEO." trump doesn't give a rats ass about his business legacy. Nor that of the US. No US banks will lend to him. Only China's national bank and Deutsche Bank. His base is all that matters.

And now there is two.

Completely correct.

You need to go to law school. Then take your argument to the jury, to the US district court, to the US SC. Make the argument that the actions and inaction's of an individual are all separate from the individual. "Yes your honors my client went to the mass shooting. Yes he was in charge of the Washington street gang. Yes he had knowledge of what was about to happen in advance. But he personally took no action. China is to blame because they manufactured the AK-47's used in the mass killings. China manufactured the ammunition. I rest my case"..." Oh when can I get to the Bench?"

trump, "The United States has not done more COVID-19 testing than “every country combined,” as President Donald Trump claimed in remarks during a recent press briefing." from Factcheck.org But why lets the facts ruin the FOX/trump talking points. Comparing the US with Slovakia. Got it. Rates and raw numbers.See the first link attached.trump, Jared, FOX and their followers are the ones that need to ascertain the differences.

Deny, deflect and make counter-accusations. Blame others who have no part of the equation. Clearly a good understanding of the trump-FOX playbook. From the abridged Joseph Stalin book "Subjugate the Masses" 1943

Congratulations. I knew you would come around eventually. You can compare the US to EU countries as far as cases and fatalities. Germany has done the best. US the worst. 'Meanwhile, South Korea recorded no new domestic COVID-19 cases for the first time in 72 days. The country dealt with the first major outbreak outside China, but brought the crisis under control with a massive testing campaign and intensive contact tracing." Instead the dwindling trump hardcore choose to deflect criticism. To deny responsibility. Deny that inaction and the gutting of the CDC and government had anything to do with the dismal US response. I'm glad you have come to see the light. Bravo.

“We did all the right moves,” the president said Wednesday. “The federal government rose to the challenge, and this is a great success story,” said his son-in-law. “We think we really have crossed a big boundary and much better days are ahead,” said trump yesterday."He disclosed that he plans to fly to Arizona next week and soon after that to Ohio, his first trips out of the White House since early March “I’d like to get out,” he said. “We did all the right moves,” Mr. Trump said. “If we didn’t do what we did, you would have had a million people die, maybe more, maybe two million people die.” It's not about the over sixty thousand dead. Its about the two million he personally saved because of his bold and decisive actions. "Jared Kushner, the president's son-in-law, went on Fox News Wednesday to suggest the country is ready to emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic and accompanying city and state lockdowns. "I think that we've achieved all the different milestones that are needed," Kushner said. "So the government, federal government, rose to the challenge and this is a great success story. I think that's really what needs to be told." MAGA. Who knew it could all be so easy. Declare victory, rewrite history, move on. The problem vanishes. Like the concept of American integrity in the WH.

I disagree. There has been three and a half years of debate on trump already. Thirty eight percent of voters will vote for him. Debate allows uncommitted voters to size up potential candidates.

US federal social distancing requirements expire today. Donald "I accept no responsibility" trump is NOT renewing them. Since the commander and chief has already lost more Americans than the Vietnam war. He is aiming to lose more than the Vietnam and Korean war combined. Another 30,000.

Russia is in a tough spot with low oil prices and C-19. Report after report from US intelligence services about Russian efforts first to get Sanders nominated. Then to sow disinformation and sow conflict. “The overarching aim of Kremlin disinformation is to aggravate the public health crisis in Western countries...in line with the Kremlin’s broader strategy of attempting to subvert European societies,” the document produced by the EU’s foreign policy arm, the European External Action Service, said. The return on the trump investment has been outstanding for Putin. He needs a repeat. In addition Chinese officials want the U.S. president reelected—because he’s so weak.

It would be but a day till trump came up with a insulting, childish name for Tammy. To demean her sex, her service and her disabilities. That her disability and Purple Heart was because she was incompetent.Just like they did to John McCain. trump's base and FOX news would yuck-yuck it up as always. The usual cast on SC and FOX would be pressing the B.S. of how Tammy assaulted some men. How she touched them inappropriately.

Trump names VP Pence to lead coronavirus response Well after 31/2 years everyone with a brain knows what great leadership and selecting the "best people", looks like.

I'll respond to you in the same way I did to Brent. If environmental laws, the EPA, etc. Are so burdensome, so restrictive on corporations, business and people. How is it that other countries and economic zones. Of which the EU is the largest, NAFTA...er ... the trump-Mexico-and little Canada free trade agreement. Can have tougher and more restrictive environmental law?. Yet still compete with the US.

You're both overthinking republicans. The Christian right is and has been their base for a long time. Money is just a consequence, a natural result of that mutual dependence. Thats why the US religions, with the exceptions of the Mormons, made their deal with the devil. Why they signed their souls over to the devil. Money flows from power. Not the other way around. Because if it were so elections could be bought. i.e. Bloomberg. "Controlling women" is just a small side show after keeping blacks, brown and yellow people out. Along with the good old boy network that features anti-environmentalists, and large industries.

So a pack of lemmings running off a cliff is to be admired for its collective discipline. Got it. Or alternatively is it, Science Is Dumb, Conservatives Know Best
-
After all, with a mask you can't "look them in the eye". There is only one reason why Pence didn't wear a mask. trump said he wouldn't wear one.

It's not a matter of spine. Turtle used the example of wanting a president with a "spine" in the Joe thread yesterday. Turtle is like trump and like trump's followers. Its part of the populist ideology of Putin, Duterte, etc. They pick enemies to blame, choose both sides of an argument, never accept responsibility and facts are never, never discussed. Don't try to argue facts with a trump populist. Its like trying to shake hands with an octopus.

As compared to trump who can flip and flop like a freshly caught bass in the bottom of a boat. Reverse himself every time he turns his head because two people are whispering in each ear.
-
He was not against killing Bin Laden. He agreed with Secretary of Defense Robert Gates that more intel was needed to confirm the mission. We have all read the sources of your opinions and they are FOX or worse. So just give more credit to Obama. It seems as if you had a derogatory opinion of President Carter. Who ended up taking the blame for the failed Operation Eagle Claw. Which was bold and whose failure was not his fault. You should have been a Washington negotiator on Indian tribes in the west back in the 1800's. Because you talk out of both sides of your mouth. You could have eliminated every reservation all together. Republicans would have given you a parade in your honor for that achievement.

Brent isn't familiar with trumps tweets and this may help. "Trump’s most recent controversial tweets: In psychoanalysis we can see this as a clear illustration of a defence mechanism created to defend the ego – to maintain a powerful sense of self. First he attacks @Morning_Joe (Joe Scarborough) by referring to him as “poorly rated” – an obvious concern for Trump which has emerged again and again from ratings on The Celebrity Apprentice to having his press secretary defend numbers at attendance at his inauguration. He notes that Joe talks badly of him, assures us that he doesn’t watch anymore (a bunch of sour grapes anyway), and then calls him Psycho Joe – indicating that he’s even too crazy to take seriously. There are a series of readable symptoms here. Trump attempts to elevate his own ego in relation to Joe’s, denigrates Joe by saying he’s not important, and then calls him names. In the following tweet he reveals more. He brings in Joe’s associate, Mika Brzezinsky, similarly calls her “Crazy Mika” and details how he wouldn’t allow them to join him at Mar-a-Lago for New Year’s Eve. He signs off my making an ad hominem attack on Brzezinsky by stating that she was “bleeding badly from a face-lift.” This attack is not much different from an 8 year old screaming, “I never wanted you at my party anyway because you’re stupid and ugly! And by the way I don’t even care.” A child brazenly demonstrates his defence by showing how much it matters to him, while claiming it doesn’t matter at all." The article goes on to show ego, narcissism, poor self esteem, deficit of self-regard, "the ego of a narcissistically wounded individual often festers in its own self-loathing, and when provoked, it can launch a bloody attack to defend the shinier image of itself." Biden may lose an occasional train of thought. trump is a derailed brain.
