About 4% worse. 'The average life expectancy in Western Europe was 79 years for males and 84 years for females in 2019.Sep 20, 2019" United States Overall 78.9 Female 81.4 Male 76.3

The Schengen area is comparable in health care and demographics. It is substantially denser. The US had the advantage of a one month delay between Chinese disclosures and US infections.
-
Completely correct. It has a population density of 97 per sq KM and the US has 94 per square mile. So 2.6 times as dense Now Coreece knows this of course.

I remember the US in 68. Now "On March 24, 2020, the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, to not much fanfare, predicted that unemployment in the United States was about to skyrocket to a point higher than that reached at the peak of the Great Depression: 32 percent." Its now about 25% including those who have given up looking. America Is On Track For A $4 Trillion Deficit In 2020. Should It Matter? That would be 20% of GDP. State budget shortfalls this time around could total more than $500 billion in a single year, and cities and states across the country are sounding the alarm. The total with individual states, the US federal deficit and US cities. Will likely total another $1 trillion. So 23-26% of GDP deficit and unemployment at the lowest since 1933. Do you want to rephrase your 1968 opinion. Oh and by the end of this month, year to date, more Americans will die of C-19 than every American killed in EVERY war since WWll. So yeah this thread is appropriately titled. But in November the sun will shine on the eastern seaboard of the US. It will get better as hope and optimism will sweep across America. People will stand in the streets waving little American flags.

Agree Perception is based upon what you know to be true and what you hope to be true. Based upon observation, learning, internalized judgements and interpretations of those factors. Ego is a internalized self identity, a sense of self esteem, of self importance. I do give you credit. No matter how or how much you're insulted. I have never read a ego or reactionary insult thrown back. You're either ego-less or have very good self control. IMO Ron perceives the trade-offs he makes in supporting trump as a net win. Although he, like others here, doesn't like to delve into specifics. As to how dealing with the devil is acceptable to moral individuals.

Oh come on I expect more and better from you. Why don't you throw out NY, New Jersey and just pick Montana. rushmc isn't helping you is he?
-
Yes, YES and YES again.

1. Since when does a nun get immunity. Please provide specifics if their arrest was unwarranted. This reads like something trump would throw out. 2. The armed individuals walked in. Please provide specifics that they belonged to a "militia" and that they "stormed" i.e. forced their entrance. I concede this is bananaish 3. I'll concede this is all out Dole banana republic. 4. Other countries have instances where local justice officials act to protect friends. The State of Georgia acted w/o federal involvement.

Agree. Coreece and I get into it on occasion. But one thing that he brings to the equation is direct research into supporting facts. As such he is more or less intellectually honest. As compared to quotes of WH press secretary's..

Well you're right about most of everything there. Prior to discourse with Ron I had no idea such people existed. As to trump supporters reading other sources, which I've quoted here before. Has given the most insight on the psychological profiles of trump supporters. One thing that "dogpiling", er debate here has shown is the absolute dedication of his 38% base. Of how firm the backbone of his support remains.

China population 1.393 billion. That would be a "raw number" US population .328 billion that would be a raw number. I'll let you provide the total cases of both as determined by testing and total deaths. S. Korea 51 million. 10,800 C-19 cases Australia 25 million 6,833 cases SK and Australia Total 75 million and 17,600 C-19 cases. So the respective rate for the US would be(4.37 times those two respective populations) 77,000 total C-19 cases. The US has what, 76,500 DEATHS

Discussion and debate should center upon fact. Those that want to discuss guns, religion, etc. are welcome to initiate. Its no secret. Dog-piling substantially arises because posters, sidestep, obscure, disregard and provide false narratives to defend their positions. If they stated sound facts. Then facts would be the subject. trump dominates because science, fact and the institutions of good governance. Are but tools for his politicization. his rule is, my way, my base and F*#k everyone else. No compromise, no accommodation. His supporters want it that way. Certainly here, in these forums the admissions of wrongdoing by refusing compromise are never put forth. Finally after three and a half years of this. Those that object to this style are fed up. Germany,France,Austria, Canada and other countries flirted with trump style populists. They were voted into obscurity. .

The US isn't a joke. But this Flynn chapter, trump and Barr. Expose serious limitations of its constitution and the functioning of its democracy. IMO it arises from the electoral system and tribalism. Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and others have populists like trump. They have also damaged the respective institutions of those countries. Like law, commerce and the rights of minorities. True, but also irrelevant to the rule of law and other investigations that were ongoing at that time.

This is the difference between a lie and a mistake. trump being born was a mistake. trump telling the world he's a genius is a lie. Got it? Social isolating must be getting to you. Thanks for your personal efforts to protect others. trump and the WH announced today that trump doesn't need to wear a mask. Because he gets tested every day!. That makes sense to you right?
-
The wrong to the world that trump was born. The wrong to the world that Barr was born.
-
two wrongs don't make a right.
-
Well you haven't changed. These posts properly belong in "The US is a Banana Republic Thread"
-
Thats funny but trump was right once before. Donald Trump loves the 'poorly educated' — and they love him Not only that but they are very loyal to him. Regardless of how often he screws them over, No matter how many of them he kills.
-
Come November America will start to look like a leader again. I have hope.
-
Yes 17 years old, even 16. old enough to drive. But the girls wearing the trump hats look 12-13 and thats just weird. They are too young to even look attractive. Its one thing to sexualize young women but the girls in the trump hats are too young to even look attractive. Just me I guess.
-
Well this may be a perfect opportunity to prove to everyone how smart he really is. Trump’s promotion of unproven drugs is cause for alarm, but not because he’s making money off it

A serious preponderance about Trump and Covid-19

In the first national survey asking voters about the allegations, Joe Biden widened his lead over President Trump in a head-to-head matchup that has continued to grow in the last couple of months. Currently a nine point lead, up from a four point lead from the "rally around the president post C-19 bump. I'm surprised Biden hasn't been more aggressive in active campaigning. But the strategy of just giving trump more and more rope for the hangman's knot. Seems to be working well. Just too bad the rope is made from the lives of 1,000 Americans every day. Rough math is that every 30,000 Americans that trump kills costs him five percentage points in election polling. But I seem to recall that he once bragged about killing Americans and getting away with it. Or was it that his popularity wouldn't fall? -
There IS a problem with global warming... it stopped in 1998

He knows that both US coasts are predominantly inhabited by liberals. Coastal flooding is his way of punishing them for always being right.
