While I agree with Trigirl and this, a more practical solution would be a hockey style penalty. Two minutes in the quiet box, i.e. mike is cut off for two minutes giving the other party the opportunity to talk about anything.

Is the Putin loving one who laughs at the religiously inclined trump. Or is the racist fascist Nazi thug trump?
-
Ditto and agree. On a major US news channel prior to the debate a interviewer went to talk to a group of farmers. Without exception they cheered the China tariff battle because trump paid them enormous subsidies. As such he proved he lived up to his "promises". They could have mixed chants of "me" with "trump" and delivered an effective election chant.

Trump's taxes show chronic losses and years of tax avoidance

I like the concept that they have Ivanka in the fraud and tax evasion scheme for at least $747,622. Certainly wouldn't want her to miss out on the family's 10-30 year visit to Rikers Island. -
Psychology Reveals the Comforts of the Apocalypse "The initial response to any hint of alarm is fear. This is the architecture with which we’re built," Lissek says. Over evolutionary history, organisms with a better-safe-than-sorry approach survive.... Doomsday preppers who assemble their bunker and canned food, Lissek believes, are engaged in goal-oriented behaviors, which are a proven therapy in times of trouble....certain apocalyptic beliefs are also at the heart of conspiracy theories—for example, the belief that government agencies know about an impending disaster and are intentionally hiding this fact to prevent panic.... "One trait I see linking the two is the feeling of powerlessness, often connected to a mistrust in authority," Douglas says. Among conspiracy theorists, these convictions of mistrust and impotence make their conspiracies more precious—and real. "People feel like they have knowledge that others do not." In today's complicated world with terrorism, war, fiscal cliffs and climate change, people are primed for panic."All of this uncertainty and all of this fear comes together and people think maybe life would be better" after a disaster,' With a President whose M.O. is fear, who ignores the catastrophe of global warming. This is the natural outcome.

Trump's taxes show chronic losses and years of tax avoidance

Professor Richardson missed the point whereby after searching America for three years trump has found the ultimate apparatchik enabler, Barr. From the story and further to Mary Trump's action for fraud against trump: "A piece from Michael Kranish at the Washington Post today reinforced the New York Times story. Apparently, when he was on the verge of personal bankruptcy in the 1990s, Trump tried to trick his 85-year-old father, who was sliding into dementia, into signing a codicil to his will that would cheat Trump’s siblings out of their inheritance and give Trump control of his father’s entire estate. Trump’s mother stopped her husband from signing it." -
Lets discuss how those who profess to love America and be "centrists". Refuse to hold to account those who lie, cheat on their taxes and use their elected positions to refuse judicial orders.

For all the claims of "fake news" from trump not a word about suing the NYT from the most litigious American in history. trump is a criminal but not completely stupid. Barr should be doing the work of the American people tomorrow....looking under every cabinet and dresser in the WH for the "leaker"! -

Trump's taxes show chronic losses and years of tax avoidance

What is of primary importance is that lenders, i.e. banks don't lend to money losing companies. Yet trump has been able to borrow unhindered over the last couple decades. So trump has either lied to his lenders or has lied on the tax returns for his corporations and himself. Its not rocket science. The NYAG has Eric on the hook for those exact circumstances now: Judge orders Trump Organization to court for fight over NY attorney general subpoenas eyeing asset values Hopefully Rikers Island has enough vacancies for the trump crime dynasty. Its title as a home for the boldest certainly fits trump. -
"Donald J. Trump paid $750 in federal income taxes the year he won the presidency. In his first year in the White House, he paid another $750. He had paid no income taxes at all in 10 of the previous 15 years — largely because he reported losing much more money than he made." Tax avoidance is legal. With a little digging tax fraud is the issue that results in jail time. "As the president wages a re-election campaign that polls say he is in danger of losing, his finances are under stress, beset by losses and hundreds of millions of dollars in debt coming due that he has personally guaranteed. Also hanging over him is a decade-long audit battle with the Internal Revenue Service over the legitimacy of a $72.9 million tax refund that he claimed, and received, after declaring huge losses. An adverse ruling could cost him more than $100 million."

Ginsberg said the same remark was made to her upon admission to law school. Perhaps its time for a non-white woman to be on the SC and a non-white woman to be president. That would really send evangelicals into a tizzy. Meanwhile "Former members of a self-described charismatic Christian community known as People of Praise have revealed details about the role of women within the group—of which potential Supreme Court justice pick Amy Coney Barrett is allegedly a member.... "people who were once part of the tight-knit community spoke to Newsweek, discussing how its leaders dictate almost every aspect of members' lives, including who they marry and how they raise their children.People of Praise, the Catholic League... Coral Anika Theill, a former member of a branch of the group in Corvallis, Oregon, told Newsweek that women are expected to be "absolutely obedient" to their husbands and the men in the group. According to Theill, those who aren't are "shamed, shunned, humiliated." Members of the People of Praise are also assigned advisers of the same sex, called a "head" for men and a "handmaid" for women—until the latter phrase apparently became too charged following the release of Hulu's television adaption of Margaret Atwood's dystopian novel The Handmaid's Tale. The novel portrays a totalitarian, theocratic regime where women are considered property of the state." Sounds like a woman after trump's heart if she was uneducated and twenty-five years younger.

Coming soon to tweet-dom "judicial bias", "deep state", "judicial meddling" @realdonaldtrump. All the more reason to stack the courts with political hatchet persons ready to do the bidding of religious conservatives and trump loyalists. -
Thats not the "way it is". In a democracy it takes leadership to drive decision making to the benefit of all, the protections of all and then the protections of the state. in that order. Inside John McCain's 'Three Amigos' friendship. “McCain was the central figure, really, of the three of us,” Lieberman told ABC News in a recent interview...At an October 2008 rally, then-presidential candidate John McCain had to take a microphone from a supporter and tell her that Barack Obama is "a decent, family man." Currently the US has no such leader although Biden may emerge to bring America together. Only partisans cheer a win at all costs and scorched earth political policy. Democracies thrive on transparent everyone wins equal philosophy. Of current federal leaders Merkel illustrates this best and Xi,trump and Putin illustrate it the worst.
-
The destruction of American democracy began with the trump-Putin election. It advanced when the American people learned of it and did nothing. America has also lost its friends: "a new 13-nation Pew Research Center survey illustrates, America’s reputation has declined further over the past year among many key allies and partners. In several countries, the share of the public with a favorable view of the U.S. is as low as it has been at any point since the Center began polling on this topic nearly two decades ago. The publics surveyed also see Trump more negatively than other world leaders. Among the six leaders included on the survey, Angela Merkel receives the highest marks: A median of 76% across the nations polled have confidence in the German chancellor. French President Emmanuel Macron also gets largely favorable reviews. Ratings for British Prime Minister Boris Johnson are roughly split. Ratings for Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping are overwhelmingly negative, although not as negative as those for Trump." Above PEW September 15, 2020 trump supporters and enablers will say who cares? Well it matters when the US wants to advance a cause in NATO, the UN, the EU and elsewhere. In that respect the US is alone as both Putin and trump want it to be. Within the US trust in the government has vanished: "Just 20% of U.S. adults say they trust the government in Washington to “do the right thing” just about always or most of the time." For those whose M.O. is everything Washington does is bad and the smallest government is the only one to have. Why would they think other citizens would respect federal democratic institutions?

Amy Coney Barrett is reported to be trump's nomination: "The 48-year-old judge on the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago is a favorite among social conservatives. They, and others on the right, view her record as anti-abortion rights and hostile to the Affordable Care Act. If nominated and confirmed, Barrett would be the youngest justice on the Supreme Court and could help reshape the law and society for generations to come. When Justice Anthony Kennedy retired from the court in 2018, President Trump passed over Barrett, giving the nod instead to then-Judge Brett Kavanaugh. At the time, Trump told Barrett supporters that he was "saving" her to fill the Ginsburg seat, should the justice retire or die, sources say.... Barrett is a member of a particularly conservative Christian faith group, People of Praise. Newsweek reported that the group "teaches that husbands should assume authority as the head of the household." (Her parents are also members, and her father was a coordinator of the group's Southern chapters.) The New York Times reported that People of Praise "grew out of the Catholic charismatic renewal movement that began in the late 1960s and adopted Pentecostal practices such as speaking in tongues, belief in prophecy and divine healing."... Barrett has been critical of Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court's 1973 abortion decision, but in 2016, she suggested that the court most likely would hollow out the decision, leaving the basic right to abortion in place, but allowing states wide latitude to make abortion difficult to obtain." Elections have consequence.

Thats the first sentence of a new statement of claim made by Mary Trump against Donald trump for actions to defraud her of her rightful share of their fathers inheritance. "The suit, filed in State Supreme Court in Manhattan, accused Mr. Trump, his sister Maryanne Trump Barry and their brother Robert Trump, who died in August, of fraud and civil conspiracy. It seeks to recover the millions of dollars Ms. Trump claims to have lost.... Beginning in the 1980s, the suit contends, the president and his siblings took control of the New York City real estate empire their father, Fred Trump Sr., had built and “exploited it to enrich themselves” to the detriment of everyone around them." One way or another the discovery process will lay bare Donald trumps history of fraud and obstruction within trump enterprises.
