"Federal agents said Thursday they thwarted a plot to violently overthrow the government and kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer that included visits to her home in northern Michigan and training with explosive devices. The alleged plot involved conspirators who met during a Second Amendment rally at the Capitol in Lansing in June and reached out to members of a Michigan militia known as the Wolverine Watchmen for reinforcements, according to state and federal officials." Once again radical right wing extremist militias hide behind the 2nd amendment to plot against law and order. Q and all the other right wing groups plot and scheme with the protection of trump. "The court filing alleges the conspirators twice conducted surveillance at Whitmer's personal vacation home in northern Michigan and discussed kidnapping her to a "secure location" in Wisconsin to stand "trial" for treason prior to the Nov. 3 election. "Several members talked about murdering 'tyrants' or 'taking' a sitting governor," an FBI agent wrote in the affidavit. "The group decided they needed to increase their numbers and encouraged each other to talk to their neighbors and spread their message."

Trump's taxes show chronic losses and years of tax avoidance
Phil1111 replied to Phil1111's topic in Speakers Corner
"The New York state attorney general is asking for a court to compel Eric Trump to be deposed in an investigation of the Trump Organization. In court filings Monday, Letitia James' office said Eric Trump initially agreed to sit for a deposition on July 22, only to refuse, "balking less than two days before he was scheduled by agreement to give testimony."... Trump's long-time tax attorney Sheri Dillon was also deposed but the state says she declined to answer certain questions. Several Trump Organization properties' financial dealings are being scrutinized as part of the investigation including Seven Springs Estate in Westchester County, New York; 40 Wall Street, a building in Lower Manhattan; Trump International Hotel and Tower Chicago; and Trump National Golf Club in Los Angeles. The filings allege, among other things, that Trump has omitted the Trump International Hotel and Tower Chicago from his financial statements since 2009, and that in 2010, Fortress Credit Corporation agreed to forgive more than $100 million of the $150 million that was owed on the loan, as part of a discounted loan prepayment agreement. The filing states that the amount of money that was forgiven "may have been a taxable event to the borrower," and part of James' investigation is to determine if Trump listed that on his tax returns." Ah whats a little $100 million tax fraud issue for the trump clan! A drop in the bucket. -
Trump's taxes show chronic losses and years of tax avoidance

Well I have to throw in with Joe and Jerry on this.Sorry Bill. For lack of a better term call it compassionate moderates. Why insist upon treating trump like he treated the children of immigrants by separating them from their parents unfairly. Ivanka, Donald Jr.and Eric should not be separated from donald when they head off on their 10-30 year stretches at Rikers Island for tax fraud. -
As a host of superspreader events and a superspreader himself. He may be onto something. Previously he stated that "herd immunity" is the objective. He seems to be favoring the GOP herd at this time. Since trump was infected there have been more new cases at the WH than in New Zealand and Vietnam combined. MAGA

How Xi Won the Trade War, Made a Fool of trump and America
Phil1111 replied to Phil1111's topic in Speakers Corner
Today: U.S. trade deficit jumps to largest in 14 years. trade deficit with China $26.4 billion in August. Two years ago on FOX. The trade deficit is falling because my leadership. We won the war against China. August 2020 reported in China but not on FOX "US President Donald Trump has said China is failing to meet commitments to buy more American goods under the phase one trade deal," In fact the Chinese government has failed to live up to its commitment to the tune of $200 billion. -
In America dead children are just collateral damage to re-elect trump and GOP members. Trump administration pressured CDC to play down risks of reopening schools: report Trump criticizes CDC guidelines for reopening schools as "very tough & expensive". then Trump threatens to cut funding for schools, slams CDC reopening guidelines as too tough and expensive

Every time there is a democrat president elected the sales of guns and ammo in the states explodes. Up until about three years ago every time there was a mass shooting in the US there was a huge increase in sales of guns. "These are men who are anxious about their ability to protect their families, insecure about their place in the job market, and beset by racial fears. They tend to be less educated. For the most part, they don’t appear to be religious—and, suggests one study, faith seems to reduce their attachment to guns. In fact, stockpiling guns seems to be a symptom of a much deeper crisis in meaning and purpose in their lives. Taken together, these studies describe a population that is struggling to find a new story—one in which they are once again the heroes. When Northland College sociologist Angela Stroud studied applications for licenses to carry concealed firearms in Texas, which exploded after President Obama was elected, she found applicants were overwhelmingly dominated by white men. In interviews, they told her that they wanted to protect themselves and the people they love. “When men became fathers or got married, they started to feel very vulnerable, like they couldn’t protect families,” she says. “For them, owning a weapon is part of what it means to be a good husband and a good father.” That meaning is “rooted in fear and vulnerability—very motivating emotions.” But Stroud also discovered another motivation: racial anxiety. “A lot of people talked about how important Obama was to get a concealed-carry license: ‘He’s for free health care, he’s for welfare.’ They were asking, ‘Whatever happened to hard work?’” Obama’s presidency, they feared, would empower minorities to threaten their property and families."

Who cares about Benghazi when his man can look the other way to weekly attacks on Americans: 6 missiles intercepted targeting airport that houses American troops in Iraq Attacks on U.S. troops in Iraq have increased, U.S. commander says How attacks on US forces in Iraq became a new normal "Between March 11 and August 18, the volume of these attacks increased, with at least four attacks on convoys and up to twenty-eight attacks reported on bases housing US forces. The number of attacks increased further to almost daily occurrences in mid-August, as Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi flew to the US for meetings in Washington. In that span, there were attacks on two US logistics convoys and a rocket attack on Camp Taji. " The Iranian Mullahs have opened a all out offensive against the US yet trump has said and done nothing....But Benghazi

Hope Hicks has Covid. CDC rules are that Trump should quarantine
Phil1111 replied to JoeWeber's topic in Speakers Corner
Ditto.I feel sorry for Barron but I have no sympathy for the rest of the trump crime clan. Just in case anyone forgets: Born: June 14, 1946. a 74-year-old person who catches the disease has a 1 in 25 risk of death The White House Knew Trump Had Likely Been Exposed to the Virus. He Traveled and Held Events Anyway. "It’s hard to overstate how closely Hicks works with the president and how intertwined their days reportedly are. Instead of taking precautions to protect those around him, however, Trump basically did nothing different. Instead of laying low, he traveled; instead of isolating, he met with people at campaign events; instead of protecting those around him, he knowingly risked spreading the virus further. From WP. After White House officials learned of Hicks’s symptoms, Trump and his entourage flew Thursday to New Jersey, where he attended a fundraiser at his golf club in Bedminster and delivered a speech. Trump was in close contact with dozens of other people, including campaign supporters, at a roundtable event." -
Everyone knows trump can't resist national TV, a chance to shoot his yapper off AND insult Biden at the same time. He'd show.

Hope Hicks has Covid. CDC rules are that Trump should quarantine
Phil1111 replied to JoeWeber's topic in Speakers Corner
CNN is reporting that he is in quarantine now, awaiting testing. Nobody was notified by the WH that Hope was infected and they knew about it yesterday. Nobody on AF one, no contact tracing whatsoever. I guess you get what you deserve if you want to associate with trump. i.e. you're on your own. This about the fourth close contact with trump regarding covid yet god has still not sown any favors on America. -
His followers are already stepping up but you won't hear anything but encouragement from the WH. "Two right-wing political operatives were charged Thursday with a series of felonies in connection with a robocall scheme that Michigan’s attorney general said was part of a broad effort intended to intimidate minority voters from casting mail-in ballots. The operatives, Jack Burkman and Jacob Wohl, made automated calls to around 12,000 Michigan residents in August, warning them that their personal information from mail-in ballots could be used to execute outstanding arrest warrants or by credit card companies to collect unpaid debts, the authorities said." The two charged are typical trump supporters " Mr. Burkman, who is well known for peddling right-wing conspiracy theories and who has tried to smear public figures that included the special counsel Robert S. Mueller III with fabricated sexual misconduct allegations, did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Efforts to reach Mr. Wohl, who has contributed to The Gateway Pundit, a right-wing news site, were unsuccessful. Mr. Wohl’s Twitter account was suspended. Mr. Wohl was charged last month with a felony in California related to the sale of a security, according to court documents." Perhaps best in the Banana Republic thread, but....

I hate to ruin a good debate but trump has already decided the abortion debate. 'Judge Amy Coney Barrett, President Trump’s nominee to Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s seat on the Supreme Court, signed a newspaper ad in 2006 that supported overturning Roe v. Wade, the landmark decision establishing the right to abortion. The ad, which ran across two pages in The South Bend Tribune and was first reported by The Guardian on Thursday, quoted Justice Byron White’s dissent in Roe v. Wade, and called the decision “an exercise of raw judicial power” and urged overturning its “barbaric legacy.”

Imagine a trump supporting (over $1 million) anti environment individual and his corporation declaring bankruptcy. Then filing for benefits himself. Too bad that he didn't save that $1 donations to the GOP to pay for his own black lung treatment. But that would be anti- republican because it would involve personal responsibility.

It seems as if trump, GOP and his inner circle of criminals who like to use religion as a political tool have been told to pound sand by the Pope. Oh well there must be some evangelicals around or bible toting photo ops that will work as well for his base.

Trump has contempt for his religious supporters
Phil1111 replied to kallend's topic in Speakers Corner
trump recognizes a good scam when he sees one and evangelicals know the devil will protect them once their souls get traded away. "A new report from The New York Times citing Trump’s tax information alleges the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) paid nearly $400,000 to the president’s Washington hotel in 2017, raising questions about the potential conflicts of interest in making money off his religious allies while in office. The Times reported that the BGEA paid the Trump International Hotel at least $397,602 in 2017, noting that the group held an event there that year during its World Summit in Defense of Persecuted Christians." -
