To work out wingloading, take your exit weight (you plus kit etc) and divide by canopy size in square feet. I'm 200 pounds out the door, and my canopy is a 170, so my loading is abou 1.2. Have a look this for psycho pack instructions Let's go play chicken with a planet !!

As far as I know, they operate exactly the same way, but a canopy has a fixed angle of incidence (unless you're playing with the risers). Let's go play chicken with a planet !!

I haven't had a cutaway YET, but my procedure is to pell the pads up and away from the velcro before punching them down - I want the pull to be as easy as possible - I don't want to be fighting new velcro as well. Let's go play chicken with a planet !!

It can happen if you forget to cock your pilot chute, thus not creating enough drag to pull the pin. That's what causes it most of the time. Let's go play chicken with a planet !!

Agreed - most, if not all, Dz's I've been to have only a very basic medical kit (including one in the plane). I think most injuries on the dz would be from bad landings, where immobilisation devices would be useful. Let's go play chicken with a planet !!
