Girl, you're always good for some one-liners.

Check dropped in the mail today.

Shannon's story on Fox News tomorrow morning (6/1)
Elisha replied to JankyBob's topic in The Bonfire
(I don't know the crying emoticon, so this will have to do). Bob, Such an honorable and loving tribute. Kudos to the station for a job well done. Be strogn and keep up the good spirit. -
(Sorry for the sidebar) JP, thanks for letting us know that a 2005 Holiday Boogie video will actually exist sometime though.

Sunday might work for me...be nice to have a Shannon sunset load. Sniff....

Paige, I'll send you a check for a few bucks snail mail. PayPal won't really let me do anything right now due to a Phishing attempt I fell for a few months ago. While I may have gotten lucky in that I didn't really end up paying for anything that the culprits tried to buy in my name, I still feel some credit watch bumps and restrictions.

Bonnie (GravityGirl) and my stepmom collaborated to get me some cool B-day presents!
-
I only had one PM from her. It was sent on May 29, 2005. Woa.
-
I was just looking at my old PMs. My first PM was a Byron Boogie question and she signed her reponses "xo Shannon". That was sweet of her. One of the most recent (in January), I thought she said she was pregnant (or heavily implied it) from one of her posts. In her response she said it made her laugh and her pregnancy implication was to something about watching Adult Swim and Aqua Teen Hunger Force (I'll remain blissfully ignorant on this). BSBD means Blue Skies, Black Death? If so, me too. May her soul dwell with the Blessed.

And you giving me those joyful watery-eyes while reading this from work and I barely know you two. I send hugs ooo....and will hug you when I see you again.

Just a general comment...make sure you aren't confusing sympath with empathy. I know I get the two mixed up a lot. (caveat - I'm over 50 posts behind in this thread in case someone already said this.) While you may be correct from a P(death) in Skydiving < P(death driving), there is just no equating of trying to explain away the danger of skydiving. You simply can not call a sport in which you willing exit an aircraft and accelerate to 100+ mph with gravity and use a bunch of nylon fabric and string to allow you to descend "safe". While the risks can be mitigated with proper training, execution, equipment, the risks are REAL and VERY severe and with a huge random component (e.g. opening/deployment among others). I didn't know Shannon that well, but I had at least met both Shannon and Bob and the loss of Shannon is certainly not something I'm going to forget soon. She was a very genuine and joyful person. Dom's post is appropriate and really hits home.

...for the nice B-day presents! Just to be thankful to EVERYONE, if I didn't express it enough or seemingly at all, for all the kindness and help and jumps others here (and not on DZ.com) have done for me. My un-thankfull ass is actually very appreciative...even if I'm somewhat infrequent on the DZ. And again, thanks for the presents Bonnie!

Love to everyone and God Bless.
-
I'm thinking that's why you seemed so...I don't know...yesterday. I hadn't found out yet.
-
I must say...that is a REALLY flattering photo of both of them. Thanks for the memories for us as well Krisanne. Bob, You guys look like the classy lady and gentleman. Memory Eternal.
-
Congrats! And JP took me on my first tandem too!!
-
I'm feeling this way too - your "girlfalldown (will always be there in spirit)" post on the American Boogie thread had me thinking "huh?" and then I figured it out while reading the Incidents. Glad I know, but the day is all a bummer. I DO feel VERY thankfull that most y'all are friendly, HELPFUL and fun-loving people.
-
Wow. I just found about this right now while looking up the Ohio Tandem fatality and I think one of the "I" state (the person asking me wasn't sure) incidents. RIP - Shannon "girlfalldown". What few times I spoke to her, she was a very warm-hearted person. Memory Eternal. JankyBob, I barely met you, but you have my utmost sympathies. Take care.
-
Yup and thanks. I said "only and Emergency will deter me" although I suppose prevent is a better word than deter. Hope to see everyone there!

You....got a paycheck? What happened? Or is it a "paycheck"?
