  1. Well get your ass out here! We'll ride laps around the Morgul-Bismarck, and I'll be behind you with a cattle-prod mounted on my handlebars. What are friends for? My goal (other than to beat Kelly's time) is to be ready for an Ironman by the end of 2008. I'll do it if it f'ing kills me. _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" 2. And I'm doing it. It's gonna suck. I'm nowhere NEAR as ready on the bike and swim as I should be. If I drown, my body should float down the Hudson towards Jersey somewhere. If you find it, you can keep my heart rate monitor. And I know I'm nowhere NEAR as hot as Kelly, but for my own sense of self-worth, if I post any photos, could you be so kind as to at least pretend to like them?

  4. I have yet to figure out a way to get all my skydiving gear plus whatever I need for the business trip in a carry-on bag. And I'm too cheap to overnight stuff. Trust me, I know the value of traveling light. If I'm traveling somewhere for long enough where I need to check clothing, the answer is FedEx Ground. Maybe $15 bucks for everything. Send it to the hotel with my name on it, have yet (knock wood) to have a problem. _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."
  5. IF you're checking luggage, you got bigger problems to begin with. _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."
  6. 1) Tivo-to-Go lets me dump all my TiVo shows onto my laptop for watching on planes. 2) All my magazine subscriptions get read on the plane. 3) Learn to sleep anywhere. 4) Bring Witch Hazel pads with you. (They're a client, but the pads still rock...) They wake you up and refresh you. http://www.witchhazel.com/products.htm 5) Bose Q3's Noise Cancelling headphones. 6) I actually try and avoid alcohol on the flights - but I double up on my water intake. It's doable. I'm over 100k miles already this year, and it shows no sign of letting up. But on the plus side, I get to jump with really cool people all over the world. :) _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."
  7. Well done, kid. I fully expect support for next week's Mautica Triathlon . I have to swim in the Hudson River. That in itself is worth many hugs and pizzas. Congrats again, Kells. Well done, indeed. _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."
  8. St. Maarten for the weekend. Had to burn some miles before they went bad, and I reached my maximum donation level with miles for heros. Sucks that they put a cap on them. Actually, though, it's the airlines who do. _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."
  9. If it makes y'all feel better, I'm sunburned. :) _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."
  10. Just wanted you to know I'm thinking of all of you as I sit here. I know it's tough to deal with, but I'm putting my difficult surroundings aside and thinking of all of you. That's just the kind of guy I am. Just wanted you to know. _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."
  11. Polar rocks, but more importantly, they have STELLAR customer service. I had a problem once with my footpod. Shipped it back, I had a new one the next DAY. Stellar. Plus, Polar is the industry standard if you ever want to work out on a Polar-Ready treadmill. _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."

  18. The one where they mount a camera in foam/fiber/bomb material whatever, and it points down the entire flight, and the ground comes up and it hits? Trying to find it. Thanks! _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."
  19. No BS - Get some antibiotics. 5 days of pills and it's gone. I get it 4 times a year, usually after overseas travel. But it won't go away on its own, it'll fester and get worse. Antibiotics and done. _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."

  21. Aw. Thanks! :) Between jumping and my 16-mile run on Saturday, best weekend in a while. And Skydance is so wonderful. I can't say enough nice things about the DZ and the cool people there. _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."

  23. Yes dear. When I get back to NYC Wednesday morning and dock my video camera, I'll gladly show the world your t-shirt, and how stretched out and hot it was. I promise. Stay tuned. _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."

  25. Well done! Another suggestion would be cold showers after training like that. Stops muscle inflamation and promotes healing. Congrats! _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."
