    I have been around local/state/federal politicians all my life in hunting clubs and at my job. A politicians image(as well as a public entity) is worth more than their work record and they take every precaution to not tarnish that image. What that Mayor stated would never have even been said even as a joke in a drunken state at a camp bonfire. Even more in an open venue private or not with the chance of someone filming it.     Its not ideal and i'm not for expanding and funding it for billions of dollars, but its not like I; 1. Will be saying or doing anything illegal. 2. Have any choice in the matter if it happens or not. Its been going on for how many years?     Its not a fucking joke the Democrat Mayor of Opelousas Donald Cravins was caught advocating voter fraud at a Mary Landrieu private event in which is son the Chief of Staff for Mary was present also.... The facts are a politician with ties to a Senator in a runoff election outright told people if they voted early, to vote again tomorrow, that there would be no harm.     Ok so first off you are wrong neither one of us were talking about guilt or innocence. Both of us were talking in terms of legal or illegal. We both know that a grand jury's job is to decide to indite a person who might have committed a crime. A crime is an unlawful act punishable by the state. The grand jury did not indite the officer therefore there was no evidence that showed he did anything unlawful therefore he was legal in what he did. Please show me in my replies to him where I stated guilt or innocence and not lawful or unlawful?     How can you say he did not do so? He presented EVERYTHING he knew about the case and every witness he could find. He even presented things not normally shown, and it was wildly commented in the media about it being unorthodox. I can tell you the prosecutor wanted to do everything in his power to get the monkey off his back, and lay out everything he could to 12 other people to get a fair shake on this thing.     Your exactly right we also as firefighters are taught to do the same in active shooter situations which is DRASTICALLY different than it used to be. Before we would stage around the block until the cops have secured the whole school complex, killed or captured the shooters and the scene placed "code 4". The way it is now the first officer to the scene runs to the gun shots and engages immediately, the first firefighter/ems follows shortly after, and enters only known secure rooms/halls to remove people and patients. They could still be actively shooting in the next classroom, or hall, but they have us going in with them unarmed, and unprotected.
