  1. One evening I think tuesday or wednesday someone was flying a KICK ass R.C. plane in the landing area by Mullins loading tent. Anyone know who was flying it, and what kind it was? I am looking to buy one just like it. Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. Spelling and gramhair mistakes guaranteed move along,

  3. I saw that. That site has some good videos sometimes. The comments can be just as funny as some of the videos if you can weed out the morons spamming the comments section. Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. Spelling and gramhair mistakes guaranteed move along,

  6. Thanks. I will get someone to watch/video me land. I would have done it this weekend, but the plane showed up late in the day, and everyone was just busting ass to jump before dark. When I got it from PD. we attached the toggles where they marked the brakes with a black line. I trust that this is the place the toggles need to stay, and I need to work on flaring it right, and if this does not work start taking them up 1/2 to 1 inch at a time. Am I correct on the no wind ''Flare later and faster'', and with wind "Flare sooner and slower'' thought? Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. Spelling and gramhair mistakes guaranteed move along,
  7. I load a spectre 230 at 1.43. When the wind is 7ish and up I can get it to stop all vertical and most all horizontal speed, and stand the landings up. When there is zero wind I can stop all but a shy bit of vertical speed, but my horizontal speed it crusing. I can slide on my feet for 30 feet, but I usually just slide it out like a base ball player. I use the flare technique in no wind of "closer and faster", and in wind ''sooner and slower'' regarding when and how fast to flare. Any thoughts other than having my landings taken and canopy courses, which I intend to do when the chance arises. Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. 11. Like I said before I agree with everyone that people who dont need to be driving a land barge around for nothing needs to get something smaller, but what do we do about the people that need such vehicles. If we kinda "phase" them out what will it do the prices of these vehicles. A poor home builder that needs a big vehicle for his work, can he afford it if it drives the price up? The largest vehicle that most people have around here are 5.2L powerstrokes that weigh about 2 tons. Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. Spelling and gramhair mistakes guaranteed move along,

  13. It's official. Climbers that do not use a rope have lost their mind. Hey ropeless climbers do you see all those rocks and boulders below you on the ground..... that means the rocks do come off the big one you are climbing on once and a while and fall into a nice pile with all the sharp edges pointing up at you... 17. I agree with the soccer mom taking the yukon out to grab a pack of smokes, or just to drive around complaint, but there are alot of people that work out of big vehicles that cannot have some of the characteristics that fuel efficent vehicles offer at the moment. I mean can you see a hybrid car pulling a 25foot enclosed trailer full of cabinets for a house, or see one hauling a horse trailer, farm equipment? It might just be where I live, but alot of the vehicles people in my area own they need. Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. Spelling and gramhair mistakes guaranteed move along,

  20. I like nuclear power. We just need to keep it safe, which is probaly the main draw back. As far as spent fuel goes I say when we get the giant space elevator up and running we just lift it into space, and then fire the spent fuel into the sun. Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. 21. Yea tie your reserve handle to the MLW so in your "sleep" you dont dislodge it. Ohh and dont forget to take it off before you jump. It would suck to have to hook knife a pullup cord from around your reserve handle mid shit your pants while performing your E.P's on a malfunction. Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. 22. When I was in the netherlands they used fuel cell powered buses. The NEMO in amsterdam had a model of how it works, and the only emission was water vapor. In order to get the hydrogen you have passing electricity through water. My question was how much electricity was needed v.s. the ammount of "fuel" that resulted. I mean it kina sounds stupid to have a coal or natural gas powered plant pump out the power to the hydrogen plant so the buses can have fuel, and in the process shoot out as much or more pollutants than if we just would have ran something though the bus. 23. That was discussed. They said if every vehicle in the world today instantly turned into a hybrid vehicle we would be back into the same boat we are in within 5-6 years. Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. Spelling and gramhair mistakes guaranteed move along,
  24. 1000 is nothing. I watched the D.C. channel that said we have plenty of oil left to last for as long as they can see. The only thing was that we have already extracted the easy to get to oil. The only problem now is getting to the unpressurized oil supplies by filling them with saltwater. There was also a article in popular science that talked about the rising Co2 in the air, and ways to stop global warming. One solution was to install scrubbers that extracted it from the air. They said that is the easy part, and it could be built on a big enough scale to stop the warming of the earth, and clean the air as fast as we pollute it. The probelm with this was what to do with all the collected co2. A cost effective and viable solution was to use it to pressurize oil fields with it to get the oil out. This would allow us to get the oil out, and have a place to put the co2. Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. Spelling and gramhair mistakes guaranteed move along,
